“Enjoyed the food here! The restaurant is really small and a hole in the wall spot. I also don't think it's the same as the other Little Skewer location but regardless, I liked the food. One downside is that they didn't serve alcohol when I went. Not a huge deal to me but their plates you eat on are disposable plates. They also don't give you the spices to dip your food in but the food was already well seasoned so it wasn't really necessary. Overall, the prices are really good and the flavor of each dish has lots of flavor so everything was delicious. The lamb, beef, squid, and chicken wings were good and all came out fresh. The oyster was also sizzling when it came out and it was huge. It comes in one piece and order but the oyster is literally the size of your hand. The mala tang had really good flavor but kinda wished there were more noodles inside.“
“THERE'S SOME REAL GOOD FOOD COMING OUT OF THIS PLACE. Rule #1 Never follow the advice of any reviewer that will base for quality in customer service or their experience with a staff member. I've read some reviews here complaining about the staff and I looked at the source and immediately thought that there was a definite language barrier that happened here and unfortunately this place was unfairly rated. That said. I'm here to give my recommendations and just the few items I've tried. Must have. Char Sui pork, Duck, chicken string beans and the braised pork belly. I can't wait to return to try more dishes, in certain they are just as fantastic. Flavors are authentic to the region and are not doctored for the American palette. Service was great. The 3 ladies in the front were very nice and after I was done with my meal, they packed the left over up for me and came back with samples of other items. Great experience and I highly recommend.“
“Apologies for not taking any photos but trust me when I say that the owner really cares about the dishes he puts out. As a sushi chef, he is a kind man who cares about the opinions of his customers. My sister and I decided to try the place out and we're pleasantly surprised by the kindness and the taste of the food.As for food, we ordered some sushi rolls, sashimi, and sashimi salad. The salad was my sister's favorite dish since the veggies paired well with the fatty taste of the fish. So fresh and lovely. A good balance of fish to salad. The dressing is what made it amazing for me. Gently drizzled with a sweet yet salty flavor made the dish really come together. As sushi goers we typically aren't fond of sashimi, usually when we go to sushi places, it has an odd aftertaste. But not this time. The sweet sauce made the tender fish melt into my mouth! I couldn't get enough of it. (I just kept eating and forgot to take pictures!) The sushi rolls were also delicious! Just enough to make you full and want to come back for more. What was best about this place really was the owner speaking with us. Initially when we walked in, there was no one to greet us and hardly anyone inside. So we thought the restaurant was closed. Although we saw an employee there so luckily we were able to be seated. After eating, the chef/owner came up to us to ask us a couple questions about the food and our experiences with Japanese dishes. We had a long discussion and ended up with more than just a happy meal, but with a good experience. The reason for this being 4 stars is because we did have to search for a host to seat us. And the selection menu didn't differentiate than many other sushi places. We did talk with the owner and gave him some ideas of how this could change so more clientele would stop by.(Also the name of this restaurant has changed. They only serve sushi and sashimi now, there's no BBQ anymore)“
“The Ribeye cap M9 here is so beautifully marbled but I think I loooved the Prime short rib even more. It was flavored so perfectly and literally melts in your mouth. And have you ever had grilled eel at Japanese BBQ before?? It was definitely my first time because I think I got the order of operations wrong in terms of building my perilla leaf-eel-seaweed wrap, but hey, it tastes so delicious all the same, right? We also got the Wagyu sukiyaki to share and the Wagyu bibimbap that’s mixed tableside. Thanks for reading! ^-^“
“It was our first time there the waitress that helped us was very friendly and nice. I don’t remember her name otherwise I would stated here, but she was working on a Tuesday morning and she was also doing the bar. The food was delicious and her hospitality was very welcoming. I think it made the experience even better. Since it was our first time there she offered To give us garlic bread on the house, that was really nice of her. I’m definitely gonna come back and I will be referring friends and family. By the way, I had the short rib and the brisket with mac & cheese. The brisket was very good, but oh my God the short rib was amazing next time I’ll definitely be getting that again and I might just try the load of baked potato too“
“From the start Cailyn was super helpful, incredible customer service. As a family that smokes at home we had high expectations to which they did not disappoint!Dino rib, brisket and Mac n Cheese were exceptional! The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean, although they didn't have waiters, the staff was helpful.Thank you Cailyn and the awesome guy with the cute hat for all your help! :)Definitely we're returning!“
“We tried the diamond set. The meat quality of the 1st round was really good. But the quality of a5 wagyu was not as good after the 1st round. Sweet shrimp was not that fresh, and the steam egg portion was too big. The wagyu sandwich was not good at all and way too dried. Overall, it was a great experience.“
“Food was absolutely delicious !! Loved the Blondie wings and the Alabama white sauce (tastes like the mayo that you put on esquites and elotes). The fries were delicious too, not too salty and a little sweet. Also had some mac and cheese (it was bomb), and the brisket sandwich was really good too :-)!!“
“Interior is small but parking is decent, and I think the food is hit or miss depending on what you order. But for the most part the fried chicken katsu is a good option; the bone in fried chicken that others seem to like was a little dry for me. There is a catering menu and seemingly they are a good option for gatherings. The owners work here and are very sweet Asian couple. They will always smile and engage in conversation with you. Top Restaurant has been in business for a long time so they are doing lots of things right!“
“Huge portions I got the Fried Noodles and Rice combo (not on the menu, small extra charge) and the steak and vegetables. It came in two boxes - one for the noodles and rice and the other just stuffed full of steak and vegetables (cabbage, zucchini) Only 14 dollars I think - with a can of soda The service is great - just one guy, and he's super friendly. Makes the food, gives it to you. I think he's making a lot of stuff to order so that's good - you can hear him chopping stuff fresh. Ambience is non-existent - but you don't care cause you're there for good food for a good price. All in all, a great, fast, inexpensive meal. Just so you know - it's just one guy taking orders and making it, so be nice and be patient. It didn't take very long“
