“If you’re craving an authentic bowl of Beef Noodle Soup, this is it. The broth is infused with peppercorns, giving it an incredibly bold, numbing aroma that takes me straight back to those nostalgic Taiwanese military village (Juancun) flavors. It’s rich, punchy, and unlike any other broth in LA!
I love that the Lu Wei (braised delicacies) is served as its own standalone dish. You can really taste the mastery of seasoning in every bite of the beef and tofu.
To round it all out, you have to order the Radish Chicken Soup. It’s crystal clear and carries that perfect, natural sweetness from the daikon. It’s the ultimate palate cleanser after the tingly heat of the beef noodles. Perfectly balanced and so comforting!”

“For quick service Vietnamese & Chinese, Happy Buddha hit the spot. Shredded pork rolls were texturally nice but could've used a bit more flavor. A touch of chili sauce was a welcome addition. Beef chow fun was yummy, and though I was initially thrown by what I think was crumbled Beyond patties in the mix it all came together nicely. Stir fry green beans with tofu included way more tofu than the picture let on, in a positive way. Sweet & spicy fried tofu was also a mountain of tofu in delicious sauce. $75 with tip for all 4 dishes, and though only two of use were dining in we easily could've fed 4 with that amount of food. Super friendly service, and worth noting that food came out lightning fast. Will certainly be coming back!”

“Didn't know they had more than one restaurant in the L.A. area. This is the second one we tried and it didn't disappoint, it was just as good as the first time and second times we visited the Koreatown location. The service, the food, everything is great.”
“Surprisingly spacious inside! They do have a rear lot, but street parking is probably your best bet. It’s definitely more of a social hangout than a quiet study spot, but the layout works well. Despite the crowd, service was efficient, I had my two drinks in less than 10 minutes. The peach oolong was a pleasant surprise and better than expected.”

“Located in a vibrant neighborhood, Oyster Dive Bar offers a delightful dining experience with a unique twist on seafood classics. The crispy Cajun fries with cheese are a standout appetizer, perfectly seasoned and crunchy, making them an irresistible starter. The lobster pasta features fresh lobster, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, ideal for both casual outings and intimate dinners. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. Prices are reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. However, it's worth noting that the restroom could use more attention; cleanliness was a bit lacking during my visit. Despite this minor drawback, the delicious food and pleasant surroundings make Oyster Dive Bar a recommended choice for seafood enthusiasts looking to enjoy a satisfying meal in a relaxed setting. Overall, Oyster Dive Bar earns four stars for its tasty dishes, friendly service, and comfortable ambiance. With a few improvements in cleanliness, it could easily become a five-star dining destination.”

“Bathroom was clean and smelled good despite the frequent traffic. I have never had anything but pastramis and fries from the hat but the turkey burger was recommended by my aunt.
I am not a fan of turkey or turkey burgers but I tried it anyway. It was delicious and juicy. Probably the best burger I’ve had all year.”

“I have gotten takeout from here before but actually got to dine in recently when I came here for lunch on a weekday with some coworkers. It was full inside but luckily, a table was leaving so we got our table without a wait.
We ordered the Beef Rolls, Signature Green Onion Bread, Stir Fried Onions and Beef, and some vegetables. It is a small restaurant that is family style so only one server and the food wasn't served that quickly especially since it was full inside. The food was ready around 20 minutes after ordering.
The portions are all decent and looked delicious. The beef rolls were very good, crispy skin and not stingy with the beef inside. The signature green onion bread was also very good, texture is the perfect balance of hard and soft. The only thing was that the vegetables and the stir fried beef was oily. Both tasted good but very oily.
Overall, still a great place to go with friends or family. I recommend the beef rolls. They tasted very authentic.”

“This old shop is very delicious and cheap. 50 pieces of leek, fish, and dumplings are only $20. 50 pieces of cabbage, pork, and meat are only $16. The haggis soup is only $18.99. The fish casserole is only $21.99. Everyone is welcome to try it. Pass the password. It’s delicious😋 face to face.”

“This place is REAL good! Small space, but VERY wonderful staff, and extremely good food at a decent price, tucked away in a small corner that people easily pass by, if they don't bother stopping in. But hey, that's just their loss.”

“Small family owned business, super super tasty and worth it. In the span of 7 days, we ate here twice. Everyone is very nice, and considering it is like one person (big respect) in the kitchen, everything is made super fresh and quick comparatively. The 3he house noodles, beef noodle soup, cat eat noodles are all very tasty and the noodles have good texture. The popcorn chicken is also good but lacking 椒盐 for my taste but that's fine because I can add more at home or dip in the sauce.”

“All of the complaints about this place are the competition. The food, and the overall prices are a bargain indeed! The menu is old school delicious!!”
“my friends and I come here every Tuesday before the bowling league starts across the street at Action Lanes.
I love this spot. The owner and his son are super kind and you can tell they love their craft.
The Asada Fries/Nachos are my favorite, but the battered fish and shrimp tacos are a very, very close second.
My go-to order every week is a pina y limon agua fresco with one fish taco and a plate of asada fries.
Recently though, I was recommended a shrimp plate that absolutely slapped. Ate half before bowling and saved the rest for next day's lunch.
These guys DO NOT SKIMP. I feel like very mexican place in LA gives you like 15% protein and 85% rice and beans. Here, they give you at least 60% protein with rice and beans on the side to complement the meal.
Absolutely phenomenal”

“Great friendly local bar and grill. Extensive menu, great Taiwanese food.”
“Came here on a Tuesday night for some dinner with family since we've been wanting to try this place for a while. Its located in a small plaza that is a bit hard to see unless you look carefully when driving by. But this is the only restaurant here so there's plenty of parking. It was pretty empty when we came so we got seated right away. They have a good amount of tables and the interior is nice.
Their menu is not that big so it's wasn't too hard to decide what to order. They do have some pricey items here though. We got the Galbi Seolleongtang (25.99), Bulgogi Bibimbap (21.99), Tonkatsu (19.99), and Yangji Seolleongtang (17.99). They were served pretty quick and they also gave side dishes. The side dishes were actually pretty good and has free refills. The bibimbap was alright, tasted like other bibimbap places. The Galbi seolleongtang has two large galbi in it and the soup and meat are nicely seasoned. As for the regular seolleongtang, it is on the bland side since you need to add your own salt and pepper. It also has some vermicelli with it. But the seolleongtang was pretty mid. The tonkatsu had some good sauce on it and was crispy and not too dry or hard to chew. But I have had better tonkatsu before. The portions are all reasonable for this price and economy though and we enjoyed it. I just thought the seolleongtang would have come with rice but I guess this place doesn't do that.
I think this is an authentic Korean place to try since they do have a good assortment of soups and other entres to order. The only thing was I did notice some small gnats flying around while we were eating. It wasn't a lot but it did bother me a bit. This isn't a spectacular place I would crave but it is a decent spot.”

“One of the best tasting boba drink out there. After working at various restaurant and good boba place one tends to become picky about their food but this place really hit the spot. The drink is not diluted and very consistent. Getting the thermal cup helps because the ice melts was slower, preserving the concentration of the drink. Definitely one of my top to go places.”

“Honestly, I’ve driven past this place so many times and never noticed it until we stopped to shop at Super A next door. It’s a super unassuming, small bakery, but it’s clearly a local favorite because it was pretty busy when we walked in!
They specialize in sponge cakes, and the shelves are fully stocked with all different kinds. We tried a few things, but the standout was definitely the Grenade Cake. It’s got this great crispy top that gives it a nice texture which is definitely unique.
We also picked up an ube sponge cake. It was incredibly fluffy and light, and the flavor was spot on. They have a bunch of different flavors to choose from if ube isn't your thing.
The service was friendly and efficient, too. Definitely a solid little hidden gem in Temple City if you're looking for fresh, airy cakes that aren't overly sweet!”

“Food is delicious. There is plenty of variety to choose from. Though I did not get to see the full menu. I only ordered from what was available in front of me. There is plenty of parking. “Looking for a taste of Hong Kong in the SGV? I checked out Alice’s Kitchen in Temple City and it really feels like dining on the streets of Hong Kong. The ambiance is super cool, with fake storefronts and shop signs that set the vibe. The menu is large, with a mix of Hong Kong cafe classics and Cantonese dishes. My friend ordered the fish maw soup and I had the baked pork chop rice. Both were delicious, generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. Service is standard for an HK cafe.”
