“Didn't know they had more than one restaurant in the L.A. area. This is the second one we tried and it didn't disappoint, it was just as good as the first time and second times we visited the Koreatown location. The service, the food, everything is great.”

“I the got #4 minced meat dry noodle dish. Hubby got the #5 beef noodle soup (not pictured). Both were delicious but #4 was significantly smaller than #5.
This is the best beef noodle dish we've ever had and we've tried a lot in SGV.
Price wise I agree with others that it's more expensive than average but you can really taste the quality on the food. They only accept cash or Zelle so be aware of that before going!”

“For quick service Vietnamese & Chinese, Happy Buddha hit the spot. Shredded pork rolls were texturally nice but could've used a bit more flavor. A touch of chili sauce was a welcome addition. Beef chow fun was yummy, and though I was initially thrown by what I think was crumbled Beyond patties in the mix it all came together nicely. Stir fry green beans with tofu included way more tofu than the picture let on, in a positive way. Sweet & spicy fried tofu was also a mountain of tofu in delicious sauce. $75 with tip for all 4 dishes, and though only two of use were dining in we easily could've fed 4 with that amount of food. Super friendly service, and worth noting that food came out lightning fast. Will certainly be coming back!”
“Love the strong flavor of the teas served here. They sometimes have BOGO drinks. The coconut cloud drink is interesting. Drink can be a little to sweet for me so I would ask for 50 percent sugar.”

“Located in a vibrant neighborhood, Oyster Dive Bar offers a delightful dining experience with a unique twist on seafood classics. The crispy Cajun fries with cheese are a standout appetizer, perfectly seasoned and crunchy, making them an irresistible starter. The lobster pasta features fresh lobster, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, ideal for both casual outings and intimate dinners. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. Prices are reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. However, it's worth noting that the restroom could use more attention; cleanliness was a bit lacking during my visit. Despite this minor drawback, the delicious food and pleasant surroundings make Oyster Dive Bar a recommended choice for seafood enthusiasts looking to enjoy a satisfying meal in a relaxed setting. Overall, Oyster Dive Bar earns four stars for its tasty dishes, friendly service, and comfortable ambiance. With a few improvements in cleanliness, it could easily become a five-star dining destination.”

“How does this place have no reviews? Probably the greatest hot pit in Houston. Different levels of Wagyu. Includes many sides seafood drinks desert it’s just awesome. Great service. Great vibe. Amazing place. Keep up the good work.”
“If you're looking for an affordable hot pot spot in the SGV, I definitely recommend trying Mebo in Temple City. Their AYCE build-your-own hot pot is only $15.99, which is an amazing deal considering you also get access to the buffet. There are plenty of veggies, meats, noodles, and other ingredients to customize your perfect bowl, and you can choose the broth you want before they cook everything for you.
If you're not in the mood for hot pot, they also offer the buffet by itself for around $11.99, making it one of the best values around. The food was fresh, flavorful, and well worth the price. It's hard to find an all-you-can-eat meal this affordable these days, so I'll definitely be coming back!”

“A co-worker that used to come up and play ice hockey in his teens told me about this place. He told me I will not regret and order the pastrami. He was right !! I had the sandwich just like it,no condiments to really enjoy the pastramj. My oh my,right on point flavor, not too salty or plain. Fresh bread. Quick service. Love the nostalgic set up..everything along the 210 still has that Americana flavor..”

“Pretty typical taco truck, but it's the closest one and the food is always good and in stock. Burritos are my go-to, and I add sour cream. The al pastor tacos are a little sweet for my tastes, so I usually get the suadero and asada. They have bacon wrapped dogs, and nachos using round tostitos and actual nacho pump cheese like at the ballgame.”

“I have been coming here for 30+ yrs. A great go to spot for a breakfast burrito. Nothing fancy, just done right with eggs, bacons and beans.
I find it funny that the mini burrito is 1.50 less vs the regular one at 10.99.
All burrito order comes with chips.”

“The food was amazing and authentic! I got the lamb noodle soup; they make their own noodles, perfect chewiness, and the portions were big. I can imagine being a regular here. Only downside was they are short-staffed, only two people working, so if you come in on a busy day, good luck.”

“This place is REAL good! Small space, but VERY wonderful staff, and extremely good food at a decent price, tucked away in a small corner that people easily pass by, if they don't bother stopping in. But hey, that's just their loss.”

“Hangang Korean Restaurant is a newer Korean spot in the SGV that focuses on classic comfort dishes in a warm and comfortable setting. The restaurant is tucked into a small plaza, so it is easy to miss while driving by.
The menu focuses on familiar Korean dishes, and the standout for me was the galbijjim. The short ribs were incredibly tender and cooked to the point where the meat easily came away, with a rich savory flavor. The sauce had a good balance without overpowering the natural flavor of the meat. The bibimbap was also a good dish, pretty standard that compares well to other places that also serve the dish.
The soups and lighter dishes also make the menu feel well rounded. The seafood pancake is another good addition, with a satisfying texture and enough flavor to stand on its own. The banchan were a nice part of the meal as well. The side dishes came out fresh and added variety throughout the meal, making the table feel more complete.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The staff were helpful and made the experience feel comfortable, whether you were ordering a full spread or just stopping by for a specific dish. There is also plenty of parking compared to some other Korean food areas, which makes the visit more convenient.
Overall, Hangang is a solid addition to the SGV Korean food scene. The combination of comforting dishes, generous portions, quality meats, and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a place I would return to.”

“One of the best tasting boba drink out there. After working at various restaurant and good boba place one tends to become picky about their food but this place really hit the spot. The drink is not diluted and very consistent. Getting the thermal cup helps because the ice melts was slower, preserving the concentration of the drink. Definitely one of my top to go places.”

“Honestly, I’ve driven past this place so many times and never noticed it until we stopped to shop at Super A next door. It’s a super unassuming, small bakery, but it’s clearly a local favorite because it was pretty busy when we walked in!
They specialize in sponge cakes, and the shelves are fully stocked with all different kinds. We tried a few things, but the standout was definitely the Grenade Cake. It’s got this great crispy top that gives it a nice texture which is definitely unique.
We also picked up an ube sponge cake. It was incredibly fluffy and light, and the flavor was spot on. They have a bunch of different flavors to choose from if ube isn't your thing.
The service was friendly and efficient, too. Definitely a solid little hidden gem in Temple City if you're looking for fresh, airy cakes that aren't overly sweet!”
“my friends and I come here every Tuesday before the bowling league starts across the street at Action Lanes.
I love this spot. The owner and his son are super kind and you can tell they love their craft.
The Asada Fries/Nachos are my favorite, but the battered fish and shrimp tacos are a very, very close second.
My go-to order every week is a pina y limon agua fresco with one fish taco and a plate of asada fries.
Recently though, I was recommended a shrimp plate that absolutely slapped. Ate half before bowling and saved the rest for next day's lunch.
These guys DO NOT SKIMP. I feel like very mexican place in LA gives you like 15% protein and 85% rice and beans. Here, they give you at least 60% protein with rice and beans on the side to complement the meal.
Absolutely phenomenal”

“Food is delicious. There is plenty of variety to choose from. Though I did not get to see the full menu. I only ordered from what was available in front of me. There is plenty of parking. Place was full. There were other families dining in while I ordered to go. Portion size is also very good. Service was great. I definitely want to go back and see what else is offered.”

“I’ve been on a Taiwanese food binge lately and have been searching everywhere for some good, authentic Taiwanese dishes. This little mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall spot really hit the mark. The food tastes just like what I’d expect from back home or from the night markets in Taiwan.
I tried the stinky tofu (a must-have for any true Taiwanese food lover), the pork chop rice, and a few other dishes—and every bite was delicious, flavorful, and comforting. The portions are generous without being overwhelming, and the seasoning is on point.
The owners are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the dining experience feel even more like you’re visiting family. The restaurant shares a plaza with other shops, so there’s plenty of parking available, which is a big plus.
A couple of tips: it’s best to bring cash, as not everything is set up for cards. Also, they do have a restroom on site, which is always nice for a small place like this.
Overall, this is the kind of spot you want to keep coming back to—and the kind of hidden gem you almost don’t want to share so it stays special. Definitely one of my new go-to Taiwanese comfort food spots!”

“Had a great experience at Alice Kitchen for a family-style dinner. We made a reservation in advance for their 8–10 person set menu ($438), and it was definitely worth it.
The biggest highlight is how convenient the set menu is—no need to think about what to order, and you get a wide variety of dishes. Every course we had was solid, and there really wasn’t a weak dish.
Standouts for me included the braised pigeon, crispy beef brisket (crispy on the outside and tender inside), ginger scallion lobster, and the black truffle fried rice. The portions were generous, and everything came out well-prepared and flavorful.
They also included a complimentary Ovaltine French toast for dessert, which was a nice sweet ending. We added the HK-style pork ribs as well, which were also very tasty.
This is a great spot for family gatherings or group dinners—especially if you want a full, satisfying meal without the hassle of ordering individually.
One thing to note: the restaurant is quite lively and can get a bit noisy, and there are no private rooms. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a quieter setting.
Overall, great food, good value for a large group, and a fun dining experience. Would definitely come back!”
