“Didn't know they had more than one restaurant in the L.A. area. This is the second one we tried and it didn't disappoint, it was just as good as the first time and second times we visited the Koreatown location. The service, the food, everything is great.”

“Joshua was our server tonight and he was AMAZING! My friend and I came in for dinner pretty late, around 9–10 PM, and he still made the whole experience feel so welcoming and special. He was super polite, friendly, attentive, and he cooked everything perfectly for us. The food was delicious and the service honestly made the night even better.
Also, I have to mention this because it made me smile the entire time 😂 Josh totally reminded me of Chrollo from Hunter x Hunter, which was such a fun bonus.
Thank you, Josh, for taking such good care of us! He definitely deserves recognition (and a raise 😉) because service like this really makes people want to come back. 10/10 experience! ❤️ Rawrrrr!”

“For quick service Vietnamese & Chinese, Happy Buddha hit the spot. Shredded pork rolls were texturally nice but could've used a bit more flavor. A touch of chili sauce was a welcome addition. Beef chow fun was yummy, and though I was initially thrown by what I think was crumbled Beyond patties in the mix it all came together nicely. Stir fry green beans with tofu included way more tofu than the picture let on, in a positive way. Sweet & spicy fried tofu was also a mountain of tofu in delicious sauce. $75 with tip for all 4 dishes, and though only two of use were dining in we easily could've fed 4 with that amount of food. Super friendly service, and worth noting that food came out lightning fast. Will certainly be coming back!”
“Love the strong flavor of the teas served here. They sometimes have BOGO drinks. The coconut cloud drink is interesting. Drink can be a little to sweet for me so I would ask for 50 percent sugar.”

“I the got #4 minced meat dry noodle dish. Hubby got the #5 beef noodle soup (not pictured). Both were delicious but #4 was significantly smaller than #5.
This is the best beef noodle dish we've ever had and we've tried a lot in SGV.
Price wise I agree with others that it's more expensive than average but you can really taste the quality on the food. They only accept cash or Zelle so be aware of that before going!”

“Located in a vibrant neighborhood, Oyster Dive Bar offers a delightful dining experience with a unique twist on seafood classics. The crispy Cajun fries with cheese are a standout appetizer, perfectly seasoned and crunchy, making them an irresistible starter. The lobster pasta features fresh lobster, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, ideal for both casual outings and intimate dinners. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere. Prices are reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. However, it's worth noting that the restroom could use more attention; cleanliness was a bit lacking during my visit. Despite this minor drawback, the delicious food and pleasant surroundings make Oyster Dive Bar a recommended choice for seafood enthusiasts looking to enjoy a satisfying meal in a relaxed setting. Overall, Oyster Dive Bar earns four stars for its tasty dishes, friendly service, and comfortable ambiance. With a few improvements in cleanliness, it could easily become a five-star dining destination.”

“Honest review:
My wife and i came at 9:30 for a later dinner. We got the braised pork and the beef bowl with the pepper sauce. We both thought that the flavor and portion were great. The pork was so tender and had just the right amount of fat the meat ratio. The beef bowl with pepper sauce was good i did ask for chili oil yo add some spice. The owner did tell me if you ask for spice ahead of time he can do mild medium and high depending on your tolerance.
Service was quick and very nice. As soon as we sat down they brought us an extra menu and two glasses of cold water. Then they brought us some free watermelon before i food came out. Food did not take long which was a plus but of course it was late so this service will depend on the time of day so I may come for lunch to provide a comparable experience.
Atmosphere was good and spacious. I will say the ac was not working but they were kind enough to place the fan to us.
I would recommend this place for a good quick and simple meal i will be back to try more from the menu and see if there is any other dishes to try.”

“The most amazing baked green onion bread. Delicious food too. Super slow service because there's really only 1 waitress (the owner) working. So keep that in mind when you go. It'll take a while but it's worth it!”

“Our family loves The Hat! Their pastrami is the best! So much meat on the roll with mustard and pickles... yummy! It's hard to finish a sandwich; it's so much food! Pair the sandwich with hot crispy fries and a soft drink...it's delicious! You can also get burgers and hot dogs with homemade chili...or chili cheese fries!”

“ok this is an unexpected gem… we walked in due to interest, but not really with an appetite for it. ended up trying their spicy crabmeat and a plain crepe… amazing… i was actually blown away by the flavor. usually i have to ask for a sauce, but this came with enough spicy mayo and the seasonings to make it taste perfect. the plain has an amazing flavor by its self, just delicious! we will absolutely be back, the menu is extensive and i’m intrigued by the sweet ones!”

“Like all In N Out, the price and quality are truly unbeatable. 1000% better than shake shack and 5 Guys. A true American company I love to support. It is sad but necessary that they are moving HQ out of CA to TN. More companies need to follow suite to show Gavin Newscum and his policy makers that their regulations and taxes are driving thousands of individuals and corporations out of the state. I will always stand with In N Out no matter where they go.”

“Pretty typical taco truck, but it's the closest one and the food is always good and in stock. Burritos are my go-to, and I add sour cream. The al pastor tacos are a little sweet for my tastes, so I usually get the suadero and asada. They have bacon wrapped dogs, and nachos using round tostitos and actual nacho pump cheese like at the ballgame.”

“For $20/person AYCE, this is a great value for the money. Unless you have super high service standards (which you shouldnt at a spot charging $20/person) there isn't too much to complain about. Hot pot items are fresh, tons of choices, broths are good, and a great variety of free drinks. The Dim sum and skewers aren't mind blowing but are included in the price as well. The service isn't amazing, but for the price paid its more than a fair trade off.”

“This place is REAL good! Small space, but VERY wonderful staff, and extremely good food at a decent price, tucked away in a small corner that people easily pass by, if they don't bother stopping in. But hey, that's just their loss.”

“Hangang Korean Restaurant is a newer Korean spot in the SGV that focuses on classic comfort dishes in a warm and comfortable setting. The restaurant is tucked into a small plaza, so it is easy to miss while driving by.
The menu focuses on familiar Korean dishes, and the standout for me was the galbijjim. The short ribs were incredibly tender and cooked to the point where the meat easily came away, with a rich savory flavor. The sauce had a good balance without overpowering the natural flavor of the meat. The bibimbap was also a good dish, pretty standard that compares well to other places that also serve the dish.
The soups and lighter dishes also make the menu feel well rounded. The seafood pancake is another good addition, with a satisfying texture and enough flavor to stand on its own. The banchan were a nice part of the meal as well. The side dishes came out fresh and added variety throughout the meal, making the table feel more complete.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout the visit. The staff were helpful and made the experience feel comfortable, whether you were ordering a full spread or just stopping by for a specific dish. There is also plenty of parking compared to some other Korean food areas, which makes the visit more convenient.
Overall, Hangang is a solid addition to the SGV Korean food scene. The combination of comforting dishes, generous portions, quality meats, and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a place I would return to.”

“Honestly, I’ve driven past this place so many times and never noticed it until we stopped to shop at Super A next door. It’s a super unassuming, small bakery, but it’s clearly a local favorite because it was pretty busy when we walked in!
They specialize in sponge cakes, and the shelves are fully stocked with all different kinds. We tried a few things, but the standout was definitely the Grenade Cake. It’s got this great crispy top that gives it a nice texture which is definitely unique.
We also picked up an ube sponge cake. It was incredibly fluffy and light, and the flavor was spot on. They have a bunch of different flavors to choose from if ube isn't your thing.
The service was friendly and efficient, too. Definitely a solid little hidden gem in Temple City if you're looking for fresh, airy cakes that aren't overly sweet!”

“Food is delicious. There is plenty of variety to choose from. Though I did not get to see the full menu. I only ordered from what was available in front of me. There is plenty of parking. Place was full. There were other families dining in while I ordered to go. Portion size is also very good. Service was great. I definitely want to go back and see what else is offered.”

“One of the best tasting boba drink out there. After working at various restaurant and good boba place one tends to become picky about their food but this place really hit the spot. The drink is not diluted and very consistent. Getting the thermal cup helps because the ice melts was slower, preserving the concentration of the drink. Definitely one of my top to go places.”
“my friends and I come here every Tuesday before the bowling league starts across the street at Action Lanes.
I love this spot. The owner and his son are super kind and you can tell they love their craft.
The Asada Fries/Nachos are my favorite, but the battered fish and shrimp tacos are a very, very close second.
My go-to order every week is a pina y limon agua fresco with one fish taco and a plate of asada fries.
Recently though, I was recommended a shrimp plate that absolutely slapped. Ate half before bowling and saved the rest for next day's lunch.
These guys DO NOT SKIMP. I feel like very mexican place in LA gives you like 15% protein and 85% rice and beans. Here, they give you at least 60% protein with rice and beans on the side to complement the meal.
Absolutely phenomenal”

“I’ve been on a Taiwanese food binge lately and have been searching everywhere for some good, authentic Taiwanese dishes. This little mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall spot really hit the mark. The food tastes just like what I’d expect from back home or from the night markets in Taiwan.
I tried the stinky tofu (a must-have for any true Taiwanese food lover), the pork chop rice, and a few other dishes—and every bite was delicious, flavorful, and comforting. The portions are generous without being overwhelming, and the seasoning is on point.
The owners are super friendly and welcoming, which makes the dining experience feel even more like you’re visiting family. The restaurant shares a plaza with other shops, so there’s plenty of parking available, which is a big plus.
A couple of tips: it’s best to bring cash, as not everything is set up for cards. Also, they do have a restroom on site, which is always nice for a small place like this.
Overall, this is the kind of spot you want to keep coming back to—and the kind of hidden gem you almost don’t want to share so it stays special. Definitely one of my new go-to Taiwanese comfort food spots!”

“First time trying Shiki Seafood Buffet. The ambiance and interior was well designed. The Buffet was spread out, so it seemed very spacious and not crowded. Some foods were exceptional and others were overcooked. The staff constantly removing the used dishes, which was great service. There was a huge selection of foods to choose from for everyone's different palate. The quality of the food was average. During the week there's a senior discount for lunch, which was a great value. I will definitely return for their lunch.”
