“The food was clean but delicious, so surprisingly. I had the beef gyudon with veggies. The broth was very flavorful and the beef tender. We also had the linguine frutti de mare. It was decent. The organic Hainan chicken was also good. And the beef sukiyaki was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the grilled veggies. The mixed fried appetizer was just OK. I also liked the passion fruit I've tea. Yum!“

They have really good deals on their combo sets, especially for the amount of food you get. The portions are generous, everything was filling, and we definitely left satisfied!

But the cold noodles were the standout for me! 🍜 This is officially my new favorite spot for Korean cold noodles. So refreshing, flavorful, and definitely something I’ll be coming back for.

“The food here is phenomenal, especially compared to other Peruvian restaurants like pollo Inca. While it may not be the same, it’s definitely better in flavor. Everything is never bland, and the flavoring is exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough; you have to try it!

I wish I had pictures, but I was in a rush. They do have complimentary sauces and bread. The portions are generous, and the agua fresca is made in-house.
A bit pricey, but will pay for great service and taste in food. Gracias. ☺“

“This place has great Sichuan food! It has so many varieties of food to try and are all very good! We got the chongqing cold noodles that were very flavorful and numby! The favorite was the mapotofu that had very soft silky tofu with minced pork and a sauce you can smother rice with. We also got the local flavor lamb that had tons of veggies along with the soft tender lamb meat. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and delicious and the sliced potatoes with vinegar was very refreshing and had a nice soft crunch to it.

The staff were very nice and attentive and the place is very very popular and busy. The atmosphere is just like any mom n pop Chinese restaurant.

I've been here in the past and have enjoyed other dishes like the twice cooked pork, various dumplings, wonton in chili oil, dan dan noodles, cumin lamb/mutton & sliced beef & ox offal! The portions are always huge and sharable and great value!“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

“Came here for lunch and got their lunch special cold udon + mini (beef) curry rice set.

Starting off with the curry. It was very tasty and flavorful, rice was cooked well. The beef was also very tender and juicy. However, I wish the flavor of the curry permeated more into the beef as the beef tasted a little underseasoned.

I love cold noodles on a hot day, and I tend to prefer my noodles a little softer. The cold udon was served at the perfect temperature, but texture wise was a little on the al dente side. It was chewy but bordering a little too chewy/ hard. I wish it was cooked for 30-60s longer! Other than that, flavor of he broth was good.

The lunch set was a good amount of food and I left feeling full (couldnt finish my rice as it was too much carbs). Service is good and the restaurant was not too crowded when I was there. Would love to come back again to support a local restaurant and try out other stuff on their menu!“

“I’m back at this xiao long bao spot in Baldwin Park again! The restaurant has that super down-to-earth, old-school Chinese restaurant feel that instantly feels familiar. The main point is — they’ve been making xiao long bao in LA for years, and everything is still handmade by the aunties, not pre-made. If you want a giant crab roe soup dumpling, this is the place I think of!

The giant crab roe soup dumpling comes out steaming hot and is seriously huge — it almost fills the whole steamer 🤣. I like to slowly sip the soup through a straw first, then open it up and eat the rest. The crab roe flavor is rich and fragrant, and it’s so satisfying while it’s still hot. Even editing the video made me crave it again!

We also ordered crab roe xiao long bao and sweet-style pork xiao long bao. The wrappers are thin and there’s plenty of soup inside. The slightly sweet pork filling feels very Jiangnan-style, and I personally really like that little touch of sweetness.

The Wuxi-style pork ribs looked so appetizing too — tender meat with a sweet, savory sauce that goes perfectly with rice. The Liangxi crispy eel was another specialty I really liked. It’s crispy, fragrant, and super snackable — not something you see at every restaurant.

For something warm and comforting, we also had a bowl of five-spice beef rice noodles, with your choice of spicy or non-spicy, plus a plate of garlic pea shoots to round out the meal.

I also noticed they have these cute little training chopsticks 🥢, which are perfect for kids or anyone who’s still learning how to use chopsticks. Such a thoughtful touch haha.

“Literally the warmest, kindest service I have EVER had. Unreal. And the food is soooo fresh and delicious. And we are serious food snobs, so we mean it. Come here immediately and feel the love!“

“Haven't heard of this place before and came to try with friends on a Friday evening. There was no wait and they have plenty of tables inside and a small outdoor patio as well.

We ordered the oxtail pho, Charbroiled beef tiny vermicelli, Charbroiled pork rice plate with steamed egg and pork skin, and pan fried rice crepe with pork and shrimp. Food was served pretty fast and employees were friendly.

The pho portion was really big with generous amount of noodles that we couldn't finish. The broth tasted good and flavorful. The tiny vermicelli was great, tasted like other Viet places I have been too and the egg rolls were really gooe. The pan fried rice crepe was also great. It was my first time trying this dish but it tasted good with the crepe, pork, and rice together. The rice plate was disappointing though since the steamed egg was a bit dry and not very flavorful so it did not taste good. The charbroiled pork was also dry and small portion compared to how much of the pork skin they gave. The pork skin also was so chewy and not good as well. I tasted better broken rice so wouldn't recommend ordering it from here.

Overall, this tasted like an authentic Vietnamese place for pho and other specialties. I would not recommend the broken rice plates here though.“

“Their Tan Tan Men Ramen are the best! I love how I have the opportunity to customize our ground meat choices (I.e. ground pork or ground chicken). Topped with nori, baby bok choy, bean sprouts, hard-boiled egg, and ground meat, the ramen have the perfect flavor. Their chicken karaage were the best too!“

“When I first arrived to this restaurant, I didn’t see any other diners and was quite hesitant. But soon enough they proved my ‘pre-thoughts’ wrong.
Definitely one of the best Vietnamese home cooked meals at a restaurant in the area. The flavour is so authentic that can transport you back to the Southern of Vietnam (mien Tay) in a bite. We ordered the lunch set for family and cannot fault a thing. It came with canh chua, ca chien, goi tom thit, ca kho, bap cai chua. Flavour was mouth watering and all very good value for money. This is such a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“

This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

“Jin Hai / Beijing Pie House has gotten better over the years. The lamb and leeek meat pies arrived nice and crispy with ample soup inside. The lamb flavor was subtle and clean with a satisfying smattering of yellow leek.

The three ingredient dumplings (leek, pork, shrimp) were supple and balanced. The thick looking wrappers were deceptively supple with a bit of bite and flavor of the fillings sang a song of freshness.

“Red Chicken Thai is a small corner Thai food spot in San Gabriel Valley. They have a breadth of food and drink items. Its interior was modest with little to no aesthetic decor.

However, the atmosphere was relaxing for customers. Their dining area have 8 tables that can accommodate thirty people. It was my first time visit and I had a default Pad Woon Sen x Iced Lemon tea. Both are good in taste, flavor and portion. Service was spot on as well as the price (affordable). Staff was competent and attentive. Plenty of street and rear parking. Collectively, this is a good Thai spot.

The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of Garfield and Valley Blvd, and there were plenty of parking spaces available in the lot. Inside, the ambiance is cozy and captures that classic Hong Kong-style cafe vibe with nice wall decor.
We tried the preserved duck and salted fish clay pot rice. While the overall flavor was on point, the preserved duck and salted fish just weren't to my personal taste. However, we absolutely loved the lotus leaf steamed rice with chicken, mushroom, and minced pork! We also opted for the $5 soup add-on; it was loaded with plenty of ingredients, though it arrived a bit bland, so we had to add some salt. To finish the meal, the Portuguese egg tarts were absolutely delicious!
Service here is minimal, as you order via a QR code at the table and pay at the cashier once you finish your meal. Overall, a solid spot with some great highlights.“

We wanted to talk and eat at a table. So we had both noticed this place on the way to VK . A very low-key restaurant with some high-grade beef noodle soup. Very tasty and there's a whole homemade feeling about the place which is very charming to me. A solid cucumber appetizer, the Szechuan vegetables were weirdly a little bland, or at least not as spicy or a sour as I was expecting. However, the Price is Right, the service is outstanding with it being what feels like a true mom-and-pop joint ( Bobby is the chef, and I suspect he's the pop, and looks much younger than his age), and I really like the fact that the menu was very simple. Even so I was tempted by other things on the menu, including the chicken curry, but they were out of chicken so I'll have to come back for that. Still I went with a specialty and I've been going to a lot of beef noodle soup places so I feel pretty strongly to judge that the broth was excellent. The vegetables were fresh and the meat was very good, if not as much as I wanted there to be. Overall the experience was outstanding and they were extremely hospitable, especially when we paid at 845 and I asked if they closed at 9:00 and they told us. They had closed 45 minutes earlier yet had hung around and gave no indication that we were to do anything, but enjoy our food. Very genteel and civilized. Thank you!“
