“I was trying to take the godfather to the Vietnam kitchen down the street but they were closing up at 8:00 (!) and they told us that we could only get to go. Well. We wanted to talk and eat at a table. So we had both noticed this place on the way to VK . A very low-key restaurant with some high-grade beef noodle soup. Very tasty and there's a whole homemade feeling about the place which is very charming to me. A solid cucumber appetizer, the Szechuan vegetables were weirdly a little bland, or at least not as spicy or a sour as I was expecting. However, the Price is Right, the service is outstanding with it being what feels like a true mom-and-pop joint ( Bobby is the chef, and I suspect he's the pop, and looks much younger than his age), and I really like the fact that the menu was very simple. Even so I was tempted by other things on the menu, including the chicken curry, but they were out of chicken so I'll have to come back for that. Still I went with a specialty and I've been going to a lot of beef noodle soup places so I feel pretty strongly to judge that the broth was excellent. The vegetables were fresh and the meat was very good, if not as much as I wanted there to be. Overall the experience was outstanding and they were extremely hospitable, especially when we paid at 845 and I asked if they closed at 9:00 and they told us. They had closed 45 minutes earlier yet had hung around and gave no indication that we were to do anything, but enjoy our food. Very genteel and civilized. Thank you!“

“This was my first time at this store and I was happy with the experience. When I entered the store I wasn't sure I was in an Olive Garden because the look was a fresher, more modern look and feel. There is a flight of stairs going to the second floor seating area. They have an elevator to the 2nd floor. There is seating on the 1st floor and at the bar behind the stairs. They even have a handicap seating spot at the bar. Blanca was my server and she gave a 5 star service. ;)“

“so we actually made a special trip out here after hearing about it and im so glad we did. the haejangguk was exactly what i needed on a cold day, totally hit the spot and felt like comfort in a bowl. the serving size was generous and the broth had that deep simmered flavor that takes hours. they even brought out some extra side dishes without us asking which id probrably think is great if we hadnt had so much food already. the only thing i would change is the kimchi was just a little too fermented for my taste but i know some people love it that way. overall this place really made my day and i can already tell i'll be dreaming about that soup“

“We came here for lunch on a Sunday and waited for 45 mins before being seated. There were only two women working the front dining room and since service was slow, table turnovers were slow too. So expect a wait but the food was very good.

We like that they have pictures on their menus. We ordered the dan dan noodles, the chong qing noodles (my favorite), the pork chop noodle, youpo noodle, and xiao long bao. All were good and portions were large.

I do like the spicy mala flavors and that's in quite a lot of their dishes. Mild still has a kick to it, fyi.

The parking lot is too small for the restaurants in shopping area as is common in a lot of Asian areas. But there are plenty of free street parking around.“

“Had a yummy dinner with great service in a lovely setting. We love the hot and sour soup here and the lemon yuzu scallops are my absolute favorite! Love the beef rolls and the cauliflower dish too. Truffle xiao long bao are so fragrant and yummy! Everything is always delicious. The sticky rice drinks are so good too! One of my fav toppings anywhere! Always a delicious meal.“

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

“Long Xing Ji is one of my favorite places for soup dumplings in LA!

The pork soup dumplings were juicy and full of rich broth, while the shrimp soup dumplings were fresh, flavorful, and packed with whole shrimp. Both are must-orders if it’s your first visit.

The giant crab roe soup dumpling was definitely the star of the meal. It came with a straw so you can sip the delicious soup first before enjoying the generous filling. Such a fun and satisfying experience!

We also ordered the cold pork kidney, which was surprisingly good. It was very fresh, tender, and perfectly seasoned with no gamey taste at all. We got the house eggrolls, the Kobe syle beef pho and the Filet Mignon pho with the original noodle (you have an option for a fresh fatter noodle) Beyond delicious!!! The service was very fast. I have a sensitive stomach so I probably should have avoided the egg rolls because I dont do well with certain oils and fried food but they were so freaking good. “They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

“Jin Hai / Beijing Pie House has gotten better over the years. The lamb and leeek meat pies arrived nice and crispy with ample soup inside. The lamb flavor was subtle and clean with a satisfying smattering of yellow leek.

The three ingredient dumplings (leek, pork, shrimp) were supple and balanced. The thick looking wrappers were deceptively supple with a bit of bite and flavor of the fillings sang a song of freshness.

“Red Chicken Thai is a small corner Thai food spot in San Gabriel Valley. They have a breadth of food and drink items. Its interior was modest with little to no aesthetic decor.

However, the atmosphere was relaxing for customers. Their dining area have 8 tables that can accommodate thirty people. It was my first time visit and I had a default Pad Woon Sen x Iced Lemon tea. Both are good in taste, flavor and portion. Service was spot on as well as the price (affordable). Staff was competent and attentive. Plenty of street and rear parking. Collectively, this is a good Thai spot.

I was craving for healthy supper Pho Veggies or Vermicelli Grilled Chicken. I end up with Pho Veggies-large. And it was delightful and warm. Staff were cordial and professional. Prices are reasonable. Parking was easy. Atmosphere was okay. Overall, I was satisfied with their Pho and service.“
