“Had a yummy dinner with great service in a lovely setting. We love the hot and sour soup here and the lemon yuzu scallops are my absolute favorite! Love the beef rolls and the cauliflower dish too. Truffle xiao long bao are so fragrant and yummy! Everything is always delicious. The sticky rice drinks are so good too! One of my fav toppings anywhere! Always a delicious meal.“

“Recently discovered a new Chinese restaurant, Spring Dumplings, and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable it is!
The food quality is excellent—not necessarily the very best Chinese food I’ve had, but for the price, I think most people will find it more than satisfying. We ordered the Leek Pocket, Fried Sauce Noodle, Mixed Sauce Noodle with Scallion Oil & Wonton Combo, Pan-Fried Leek with Pork Dumplings, and Pan-Fried Bok Choy with Pork Dumplings. Everything came out to about $70, which I think is a great value for a family meal.

The noodles are on the softer side and not as chewy as some other places, but I actually found them quite delicious. My boys loved the scallion noodles and dumplings, while my wife really enjoyed the leek pocket and wonton soup.

Overall, I highly recommend Spring Dumplings if you’re looking for affordable, comforting Chinese food that doesn’t break the bank. Definitely worth checking out!“

“My only complaint was it was hard to speak to others at the table because the music was loud. The owner is a very sweet guy who comes to your table and gives new people samples of their drinks and popular Peruvian ice cream .He proudly explains the popular dishes and their Peruvian ingredients. The staff, owner and food made this restaurant so classy! The homemade food was not only delicious but special. The owner gets his ingredients from and that are grown in Peru. It was fun to eat food with ingredients that is new and tasted sooo good! It was such a treat. The Peruvian ice cream made from Locuma fruit is actually nutritious! The chicha morada drink also is different and beneficial.

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

Wearing gloves made me uncomfortable, especially when the server’s fingers touched the inside of the bowl. Other than that, the food was great.“

These plates were so full of color, every bite was bursting with fresh delicious goodness!! I didn’t want to put the fork down 🤣 OH and let me mention the fork!!! We wanted to talk and eat at a table. So we had both noticed this place on the way to VK . A very low-key restaurant with some high-grade beef noodle soup. Very tasty and there's a whole homemade feeling about the place which is very charming to me. A solid cucumber appetizer, the Szechuan vegetables were weirdly a little bland, or at least not as spicy or a sour as I was expecting. However, the Price is Right, the service is outstanding with it being what feels like a true mom-and-pop joint ( Bobby is the chef, and I suspect he's the pop, and looks much younger than his age), and I really like the fact that the menu was very simple. Even so I was tempted by other things on the menu, including the chicken curry, but they were out of chicken so I'll have to come back for that. Still I went with a specialty and I've been going to a lot of beef noodle soup places so I feel pretty strongly to judge that the broth was excellent. The vegetables were fresh and the meat was very good, if not as much as I wanted there to be. Overall the experience was outstanding and they were extremely hospitable, especially when we paid at 845 and I asked if they closed at 9:00 and they told us. They had closed 45 minutes earlier yet had hung around and gave no indication that we were to do anything, but enjoy our food. Very genteel and civilized. Thank you!“

“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“

“Jin Hai / Beijing Pie House has gotten better over the years. The lamb and leeek meat pies arrived nice and crispy with ample soup inside. The lamb flavor was subtle and clean with a satisfying smattering of yellow leek.

The three ingredient dumplings (leek, pork, shrimp) were supple and balanced. The thick looking wrappers were deceptively supple with a bit of bite and flavor of the fillings sang a song of freshness.

We ordered the lunch set for family and cannot fault a thing. It came with canh chua, ca chien, goi tom thit, ca kho, bap cai chua. Flavour was mouth watering and all very good value for money. However, the atmosphere was relaxing for customers. Their dining area have 8 tables that can accommodate thirty people. It was my first time visit and I had a default Pad Woon Sen x Iced Lemon tea. Both are good in taste, flavor and portion. Service was spot on as well as the price (affordable). Staff was competent and attentive. Plenty of street and rear parking. Collectively, this is a good Thai spot.

“First time trying Chong Yuen Fong Clay Pot Rice in Alhambra. The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of Garfield and Valley Blvd, and there were plenty of parking spaces available in the lot. Inside, the ambiance is cozy and captures that classic Hong Kong-style cafe vibe with nice wall decor.
We tried the preserved duck and salted fish clay pot rice. While the overall flavor was on point, the preserved duck and salted fish just weren't to my personal taste. However, we absolutely loved the lotus leaf steamed rice with chicken, mushroom, and minced pork! We also opted for the $5 soup add-on; it was loaded with plenty of ingredients, though it arrived a bit bland, so we had to add some salt. To finish the meal, the Portuguese egg tarts were absolutely delicious!
Service here is minimal, as you order via a QR code at the table and pay at the cashier once you finish your meal. Overall, a solid spot with some great highlights.“
