“Reading these 1 star reviews really makes me upset. I have been a regular JTYH patron since 2013 and just got takeout from here today (Feb-26). They are a rare restaurant that hasn’t heavily increased prices AND maintained generous portions, even after COVID.

My top recs are the pan fried pork buns, the best I have ever had. The dough is perfectly cooked and the meat inside is delicious and huge, generous portion. I also love their beef rolls, (also my favorite I’ve ever found), because they have a good helping of veggies and sauce (and beef of course) so it’s not dry like so many other places. Then I also get their sliced pork ears as an appetizer.

I do like their fried noodle dishes and noodle soups (though I wouldn’t claim these are the best in SGV). They are still worth a try and a solid option to round out your meal.

For the past four years, the restaurant has been pretty quiet whenever I get takeout, usually dinner time. Parking is very easy (bc it is in a lot with other tenants that are closed by then). I have zero issues w their (not particularly warm) service. They make good food and pack it well and have it all ready to go when I need it!“

If it's raining and you want some warm pho. This is the spot for you. Close to South Gate, Lynwood, Bell Gardens, Downey and Paramount. It has drive thru and a small mom and pop restaurant that should definitely be supported for the great food. Food is still consistent though! Mushroom in brown sauce ($12.95), vege fish in brown sauce ($12.50), and tofu pumpkin hot pot ($12.95) are still good choices and they're all on the lunch special menu!

Surface level parking in the plaza gets congested very easily, so try the 2 levels of underground parking for more spots.“

This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Prime is $53. The soy sauce they use at the sauce station is more salty than the other soy sauces I've had. One of the staff, younger girl kept messing up with the soup base orders for our table and another table's. It wasn't even busy at that time. It's nice they do birthday discounts. Free drinks and ice cream so that's also a plus. Would be nice if they had strawberry ice cream instead of double cookies and cream rubs. They should add pork blood rice cakes. Definitely one of the best Vietnamese home cooked meals at a restaurant in the area. The flavour is so authentic that can transport you back to the Southern of Vietnam (mien Tay) in a bite. We ordered the lunch set for family and cannot fault a thing. It came with canh chua, ca chien, goi tom thit, ca kho, bap cai chua. Flavour was mouth watering and all very good value for money.
