“Had dinner with my family last Friday and boy is this place fancy. We arrived around 5:30 and it was pretty empty. There are private rooms and apparently, that's the place to be because our server kept disappearing into those rooms with some amazing dishes of stir-fried clams, crab, and whatnot. But, back to my dinner: we ordered a sampler platter: bbq pork, duck and roast pork with cracklin' skin. The center portion was goma wakame seaweed salad, stir fried string beans with (very salty) minced pork; beef shortribs that were tasty, but kind of tasted like pork (it was definitely beef), fish filet with tender choy sum, seafood soup, and one other dish. If you want steamed fish, it will be market price (pricey, no surprise). Generally, the food was very flavorful and well executed, espcially the veggies and roast pork -- the string beans were the best! I would say some of their dishes are not what I'm used to from other Chinese restaurants flavor profile-wise (not that it's a bad thing), so I'll have to come back to try some of their seafood dishes. Service was pretty good. Our waiter was dressed up and wore gloves. The place has a hotel banquet hall vibe. Seems this place is popular for dimsum as I've heard, so I'll have to come back during the day and see how that goes. Will be back!“
“1st visit: It was my first time coming to California fish grill. I love how they have a lot of options from the menu! The staff is really friendly and helpful, I asked if I can get a sample of the deal salt mango drink" and they gave me a sample. I got the battered fish & chips(they have 2 or 3) I got the full platter and it comes with a side of kaleslaw. New location: The only thing that disappointed me was the wait.. they did take a while to cook my food... but When I went I think they just opened this location, but it's okay I totally understand, no biggie or maybe it's just how long it takes to cook?? (I never been to California fish grill). Food overall: SOOOOO GOOD!! I didn't expect it to be really good just for fish and chips, even the kaleslaw has so many good flavors. They even have different condiments and it's such a big plate for the price. It's so worth it! Definitely coming back !!“
“Hole on the wall type restaurant with basic Vietnamese food, customer service was not the greatest but that was to be expected from this kind of place. Food was tasty and great without frills. Had the cơm phần 2 người with chè 3 màu.“
“One of the best places for dim sum you could hope for. Line around the building waiting for it to open. Every table filled shortly after opening and more people waiting outside. Get there early. Luckily my coworker arrived 15 minutes before opening and we were first in line.“
“Review is only for the banquet style dinner. We had a 5pm reservation inside their banquet rooms for CNY. This was the right move as the restaurant got much busier by 6/7pm. Ordered the set menu at $899 and added on more specialty dishes - like the squab, king crab, and much more. Service is pretty good considering most of the staff knows my family - can’t say the same for those who are not Cantonese linguistically and culturally.“
“I came here to eat after being introduced by a friend. The outside of the restaurant does not have gorgeous decorations and looks very ordinary. After entering, I found that the inside is very big and very clean! And we were greeted by a polite male waiter. He patiently helped me answer questions and introduced some recipes in their restaurant. I chose the pork blood and leek soup and seafood tofu pot that I wanted to eat. While eating, I found the food in this restaurant to be delicious! And the portions are huge! I had a great time eating ?! Here I sincerely thank you for your service and the hard work of the chefs! I wish your business will prosper!“
“Best authentic Chinese food I've had in socal. In addition to the cheap prices, the portion sizes are absolutely loaded too. Just look at how much fried rice and red braised pork belly we got!!! Really recommend if you're trying to find some good and cheap chinese food.“
“Been here many times for wedding receptions. Love their 10 courses dinner extravaganza. Enjoyed every dishes. When not coming here for dinner, we enjoyed going here for their delicious dim sum. The place still looks decent and nice. Services can be a hit or miss. Sometimes if you are lucky, you get the right cart with your favorite dim sum dishes. Sometimes you wait forever for your favorite dishes that never came. Overall, we enjoyed eating here. The only negative here would be the parking. Not enough spaces since too many restaurants in this center. On weekend, you will definitely find yourself driving around trying to find a parking space. I recommend parking on the street if you are lucky.“
“The host initially told us 45min - 1 hr. Then after an hour she changed her words and said its 1.5-2hrs. The worst part is she made it a point to state that she never said the first time frame and made me feel dumb for her lie. Service at tables was okay. Food was consistent and good.“
“Had an excellent weekend lunch experience here! Boston Lobster Seafood is the type of place that lets the food speak for itself. I love the large family dining setups, easily allowing groups of 10 or more, equipped with dinner-turntables / lazy Susan’s!I love that their lunch specials (11:30-4pm) apply on the weekends as well, and we got a steak order from that menu. However, it was clearly the lobster that won our affection, perfectly spiced and cooked, presented with endless ginger, green onions, and jalapeños. Other notable standouts include the mapo tofu and gai lan (Chinese broccoli).Would definitely recommend this place and will be back!“
