“This is a diner that apparently has been here for decades. A family owned restaurant for the local community. This place is the go to especially after playing golf at Whittier Narrows down the street.

My son loves this place, his go to is always the club sandwich fries included. My personal favorite is the patty melt with fries. For appetizers we love the onion rings. A heads up, if you order a large fries that's exactly what you get. Not the typical small serving but a mound of fries to share for the whole table.

It's a no frills local joint where they have regulars that always come in. These mom and pop places are what makes this country what it is, not the cookie cutter chain restaurants. Always support your local businesses.“

Do not be fooled by other restaurants fancy decor, some other restaurant tastes are bland and not authentic. If you want great portions, AUTHENTIC tasting Szechuan food, come here ASAP. I highly recommend the 辣子鸡 (spicy crispy chicken) sometimes regarded as the best in SGV. The side dishes and sauces were also authentic and complemented each other perfectly. “My parents and I came here for a visit as we always see such a crowd on the weekends. The food and staff were exceptional! Plenty of seating and parking. The servings are very generous! There's a reason this place has been a 30-year mainstay!“

“Came here on a Tuesday for lunch with my parents. It was a bit busy, but the wait was under 10 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all.

We ordered the usual dim sum staples and added one special item, the imperial cold chicken. That dish was the standout. Super flavorful, tender, and honestly the highlight of the meal. Everything else we ordered was solid and hit the spot. The food overall was really good.

Ambiance is exactly what you’d expect from a classic Chinese restaurant. Loud, busy, and energetic. You can still hold a conversation, but you’ll need to raise your voice a bit.

Now the downside. Service was lacking. We had to refill our own teapot and grab our own to-go boxes. No real attentiveness, and compared to other dim sum spots nearby, the service here falls short.

Parking is convenient. They have a small free lot plus free street parking, which is always a plus.

Would I come back? If someone else suggested it, sure. The food is excellent, but the service definitely needs improvement.“

Those burgers were so freakin juicy...I pulled one out of the bag and it leaked on my phone and I wasn't even mad!😂 I knew this was about to be good and boy was it. I spent about $13 and it was all worth the trip, the food, and the price. Considering what you would spend at In and Out for something like that... Big E you can have my money every week! “I have been coming here since 1987, through the years the food has been consistently good. The menu is simple and reflects the more relaxed and less complicated hey days. You are not going to find brioche buns, foie gras, truffles oil, etc…what you will find is classic American diner taste. My favorites here are the fried chicken dinner plate, chili cheese fries with onions, their char grilled bacon cheeseburger is always excellent and their steak sandwich. I like to add 2 fried eggs to my steak sandwich. The facility is old, feels old and looks old. But, the tables are clean and not sticky. Service with a smile and the staff are helpful.“

“We always enjoy a meal from Panda Express when we visit the USA — it’s fresh, consistent, and a great break from the usual American food options. I also love that the pricing stays the same all day, which makes it a reliable choice when you’re travelling on a budget.

This visit introduced us to the Teriyaki Salmon, and wow… it was delicious. Perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and such a great way to add a little seafood to our usual favourites. The team mentioned it was a limited‑time seasonal item, so we made the most of it while we could.

This particular stop was especially relaxing thanks to the lovely outdoor seating area. It was quiet, clean, and a great spot to enjoy an early dinner. Parking was easy, service was friendly, and the food was — as always — fresh and flavourful. We grabbed a drink and shared a large box, which was perfect for the two of us.

Another win for Panda Express, and a reminder why it stays firmly in our Top 10 favourite USA traveller eats.

“I've been eating Dim Sum for 50 years This place is legit! They have all the essentials and they're all good. The only thing I miss is that they don't have the cards that they roll around anymore. You just have to order from a check off menu.“

“Consistently the best roast duck (not to be confused with Peking duck) even in SGV (San Gabriel Valley). Always juicy, tender, and amazingly tasty. We only take out from this store, but we do it regularly. I have no idea what the service is like or the physical plant, as my wife is always the one to go in to get the duck. Oh, the chicken chow fun dry is also consistently tasty, generous, with tender pieces of chicken. I don't know if chicken chow fun is even on the menu. Most places only list beef chow fun, but if you ask for chicken at Sam Woo, you get a very tasty dish.“

“​We decided to check out this new spot! There are tons of options on the menu, and everything we tried was delicious. There was a bit of a line, so it took some time to get our food, but it was worth the wait.
​I’m giving it 4 stars mostly because I still prefer their original San Gabriel location and the food there just hits a little differently for me! That said, the No. 1 noodle was really good, and the fried rice was a massive hit with my son (his absolute favorite). The only skip for us was the beef stew, which was a bit too sweet for our taste. Still a great meal overall!“

“Came here for lunch with family and it was busy inside when we went. The store isn't that big and there aren't that many tables so it's a more homey style place. Luckily, we didn't have to wait long for table.

We ordered the French Style Stir Fry Beef, Pea Shoots, Honey Garlic Pork Chop, Fried Egg Tofu w/ Mushrooms and Veggies, and Braised Pork w/ Aged Vegetables. We also ordered the Honey Lemon Iced Tea because it only costs $2.50 for a very large cup and comes with refills! So worth!

The dishes didn't take too long to be served and comes with white rice for free. We liked all the dishes except the Braised Pork because it was tough to chew and a bit dry. The other dishes were all very good, seasoned well, and not salty. They tasted very good with some rice. The Pork Chop w/ Honey Garlic sauce was better than I expected since it is fried and tasted great with the sauce. The portions were also pretty big for the price which is hard to see these days. These dishes also tasted like authentic Guangdong food. Will be coming back again for sure!“

“I have ate here twice. First time was dine in. The server Angel was horrible. The first thing we ordered of course were drinks. I ordered a water with lemon and it came after the meal. The pancakes were ice cold and the plates were the exact same size as the pancakes. My husbands order was wrong. He ordered toast as a side and hit potatoes. Then tonight we got good delivered and it was also horrible. The eggs were rubbery and my husband was supposed to get tres leches pancakes and he got regular pancakes. I was supposed to get salsa and sour cream with my tacos and didn’t get it. There was no cheese sauce on my tacos either.“
