“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“

“Wa is a lovely restaurant with excellent service and delicious sushi. My girlfriend and I come here pretty regularly and are always treated wonderfully by Hara, whose got an amazing memory. We come for date nights , work lunches, birthdays and especially when it’s raining and you need some udon. Reasonably priced, quaint ambience and now that the in n out fixed their parking, it’s easier to get to.“

“One of the BEST eating experiences I've ever had.
Not only had I never been here before,
But I had never tried Szechuan food.

I'm not local to this area, but my friends one day were raving about this place. We drove over 40 minutes to go here,
And honestly I didn't expect too much,
Just wanted to hang with the boys,
But once I took my first bite-
Wwwaaaaoooooowww. I was SO surprised at how unique and delicious this flavor was.

We ordered a lamb plate, where they served it with toothpicks, I'm uncertain of the name of the dish,
But my goodness. It was one of the best things I've eaten. I love spice, and this was spice in such a unique way that I had never had before. My lips were numb, not in an uncomfortable way, but in a truly exciting way as far as a food experience is.

We also got other plates,
But to me the clear stand out was the lamb dish with the toothpicks.

If this place was any closer,
I'd be paying rent there, eating there like 3 times a week 😂

The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating, attentive, and helpful.

Our dishes came with this lovely tea, and perfectly steamed rice.

It was such a satisfying experience all around that I had to write this review to support their business.

Now, I don't think I'll be able to eat Szechuan food anywhere else and honestly- I am not upset about that.

If you haven't tried this hidden gem,
It's with the trip out to experience it.

Parking is... Horrible honestly, the restaurant faces a busy street,
But even still,
It's absolutely worth going here.

Bring anyone who's like me and hasn't tried Szechuan before,
And they'll be just as happy with their experience as I was.

“Wanted to check this place out with my boyfriend. It was poppin on a Saturday night, which is a good sign. We got the house eggrolls, the Kobe syle beef pho and the Filet Mignon pho with the original noodle (you have an option for a fresh fatter noodle) Beyond delicious!!! The broth and meat was so flavorful
The service was very fast. I have a sensitive stomach so I probably should have avoided the egg rolls because I dont do well with certain oils and fried food but they were so freaking good. I really wanted to try the calamari but it was sold out. So definitely gotta come back next time to try it.

They have good mix of long tables for bigger parties and small tables for 2-4ppl. They can adjust the level of saltiness of the ramen which is awesome! Never been to a ramen spot that has offered that before.

Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. “I’ve come here many times—it’s one of my favorite restaurants. The beef noodle soup is my go-to, but honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite because everything is delicious.

Highly recommend the dumplings—they’re handmade, and you can even buy them frozen at a great price. The server reminds me of my aunties, and the food tastes like grandma made it. It’s like a cozy Sunday at mom’s, and she just brought out the menudo.

I also love that the music stays true to the culture. They play Mandarin songs, not some watered-down English playlist. It makes the whole experience feel authentic—like I’ve been invited into someone’s home. I’m always happy here. 🥰“

The night manager is cool and when he gets on the stove his food is out of this world! “Absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Alhambra. It reminds me of the Chinese food I used to have when I was a kid in the 70s. Many long time customers come here and many younger customers as well. The service is fast. The food is served quickly and hot. However, they don’t rush you. You can take your time. Enjoy your meal and talk with your family or friends. Because the place is so great there are a lot of people and they are all talking and eating so it can be quite lively. I would highly recommend coming here for traditional old-school Chinese food.“

“Came here to try the Oxtail Pho, the broth is so so nice and portions are huuuge. Server was awesome and also informed that once ordering the pho, extra noodles is free and extra 1/2 bowl of broth $2.50. Presentation is top and this is now on my list for regular dining. Appreciate that they also have a Vegan menu with soy chicken or soy beef. I ordered the vegan crispy eggrolls as well which had veggies and vegan soy chicken. De-LICIOUS PERFECTION. These were crispy and freshly made not soggy sitting there a while like other places. This place is a must try.“

“Afters has been my favorite ice cream place ever since moving to Cali back in 2018. I've tried multiple flavors, but keep coming back to the Salty O's (as a milkshake, and often with some caramel thrown in). I've tried and enjoyed the Ube Brownie, cookie monster, dark matter brownie batter, and the milk & cereal.

All solid tasty options that I would get again. For a friend's bday 🎂 I plan on getting them an Afters ice cream cake.

Huge new york steak, charbroil grilled, great grill markings and charcoall taste, not overwhelming..10/5 The server asked me for the temp for the steak, i asked for medium, got medium. 👌 comes with chicken steak and a huge bone-in pork chop. A big portion of pasta. And veggies. All of it came home in a doggie bag, soooo good can't wait to find tasty ways to use the baccali triple at home. This place is all about quality, and value....the portion sizes will make your haw drop. Mom got the roasted hen with ha nan rice. I thought the roasted chicken was tender and juicy even though it looked dry, it didn't eat dry. The rice was well flavored but the rice was only lukewarm and kinda hard 3/5. Severs were fast and friendly...plus it's got tvs everywhere tuned to sporting events...mom was able to watch her
