Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!”

“If you order on Uber Eats, the price is exceptional for the quality and quantity of food you get. All the beef choices are top notch as well as the rice and fresh baked fluffy pita bread. The only not as good items are the chicken being a bit bland and the hummus (but that is a problem for most places in LA). Overall great restaurant with tasty food.”

I can't believe I was treated this way. Do we now need to learn EVERY LANGUAGE ON EARTH just to get basic service?”

“I'm legally blind and I was actually there to visit my cardiologist roughly 6 minute walking distance on the other end of 1st Street. I got myself into a dilemma by buying two dozen of egg tarts which comes in two large pizza size boxes. The young lady who helped me at the store first told me they don't have such a big bag for those boxes, but she obviously considered my convenience so she went to the bag and dig out a large size shopping bag. I guess you can tell how appreciative I was even though those boxes have to go in sideway anyway... It still helped me to hold those boxes in one hand and my white cane on the other.”

“This isn't the Taiwanese 永和豆浆 Yong He Dou Jiang you might be expecting. This spot offers a broad menu of various Chinese cuisines. I just tried 豆皮 bean curd （cuisine from Hubei) for the first time. It was an interesting dish with a bean curd and egg mix topping over sticky rice, meat, tiny shrimp, and cilantro. I like the bean curd and egg mixture and want to try my hand at making it at home. 👍”

“The Thursday - Sunday late evening/overnight staff is amazing! I've been coming here pretty much weekly since July 2021 and they have become like family, especially our regular server Lupe. The night manager is cool and when he gets on the stove his food is out of this world! They got a new cook a few months ago and they are great with consistently producing comfort, especially the fries (and I'm VERY picky about my fry consistency).”

We tried the Kwe Tia’s Goreng which is similar to pad see ew and Perkedel which is like a potato fritter, but our favorite was the Nasi Bungkus, which was a sampling of different curries on top of rice paired with fried chicken. It was so delicious, and the sambals on the side were really spicy, which was a nice surprise! The chef was very welcoming and friendly, and there is tons of space in the dining room to sit down and eat. I’ll definitely be coming back for takeout and try the noodle dishes!”

Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. Yum yum 🤤 ended with Kumamoto Oyster 🦪 it was so sweet like cotton candy in your mouth made me wanting more which I did order more. “First time trying Chong Yuen Fong Clay Pot Rice in Alhambra. The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of Garfield and Valley Blvd, and there were plenty of parking spaces available in the lot. Inside, the ambiance is cozy and captures that classic Hong Kong-style cafe vibe with nice wall decor.
We tried the preserved duck and salted fish clay pot rice. While the overall flavor was on point, the preserved duck and salted fish just weren't to my personal taste. However, we absolutely loved the lotus leaf steamed rice with chicken, mushroom, and minced pork! We also opted for the $5 soup add-on; it was loaded with plenty of ingredients, though it arrived a bit bland, so we had to add some salt. To finish the meal, the Portuguese egg tarts were absolutely delicious!
Service here is minimal, as you order via a QR code at the table and pay at the cashier once you finish your meal. Overall, a solid spot with some great highlights.”

“I have been coming here for multiple times for their drinks and so far I love it!
It is a small place for a boba shop but it is a pretty good place to chill when the place is not crowded. The servers are very nice and patient when you are ordering your drinks. The place in general are clean, even with the restroom.
The drinks are fantastic in my opinion, no matter what sweetness level you are going for. My personal favorite/ to-go are the rose cream foam milk tea or formosa ocean. Trust me, I think you will like them if you are a sweet tooth-er or Rose lover. (Good looking drinks for pictures too!)
Try their origanal flavored Formosa Umeyaki too! They are not only pretty for pictures, but crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, specifically when they are freshly made. Great desserts matching with your drinks!”

“I love 7 Leaves for their consistency and this location is no different. This location is open early in the morning and they have plenty of options that's not just boba tea.

My wife and I love to visit 7 Leaves and our favorites are most certainly the summer mint, oolong milk tea, and their Japanese Matcha. Aside from milk tea and fruit tea options, they have coffee options hence why they open earlier than most boba spots. Another unique part is that 7 Leaves are known for their drive through ordering. This spot has one as well which is great.

Interior is clean and spacious as well, you'll often find people on their devices or lounging around. Very clean and and vibrant overall. Love the consistency of this location as staff is friendly and quick. Drinks are high quality and very much a spot that you can be consistent with.”

This place was exceptionally good. If you’re craving a burger, highly recommend this place. If you want a fantastic smash patty and crispy fresh fries, GO HERE. The burger was juicy, crispy on the edges (proper Maillard Reaction), good cheese, POTATO BUN (bonus points), and add whatever topping you like. The fries are fresh, oil was clean, and they were the perfect crisp. I actually don’t even know how they got them like that. I can’t do that at home…but that’s beside the point. I wish this was near me but I live in OC. If I am ever in this area, I will 10000000% be making a stop here to eat, even if I’m not hungry.”

“A down-home Mexican food experience run by nice women with good kind of spicy steak picado and rice and beans and corn tortillas for a good price. and the people running the very interesting sweet shop that it is inside were kind enough to turn down the loud disco music they were playing.”

“I came here because I heard the rice noodles were their signature dish, and they were definitely good. But for me, the real standouts were the grilled fish, the charcoal BBQ, and the sweet and sour pork (Guo Bao Rou). Those dishes had the authentic flavors I grew up with. Everything tasted freshly made, well-seasoned, and very traditional. If you’re looking for genuine Northeastern Chinese comfort food, this place is absolutely worth a visit.”

“Really enjoyed our meal at California Beef Noodle King! The beef noodle soup was flavorful and comforting, and the noodles had a great texture. “This review has been a long time coming as I've come back multiple times... I love this bakery! The staff here is always welcoming, helpful and gives me the best suggestions when it comes to their seasonal or for a drink I haven't tried. They always have a great vibe going on in here.

Personally their lattes are great and their pastries are so yummy. You can just tell that the bakers put their best work into it. I'm always a sucker for the choco cookie.

Super bummed I couldn't make it for their mango mochi release but it looked so good! Kudos and props to the Re Bakesic team for always caring and acting in the interest of their customers.”

The service was a bit slow but we were with family so there was no time wasted. I would definitely return. I was conservative on the rating since I only went once. “We ordered the beef hot pot$68?, it comes with some complimentary beef and vegetables, and we order ordered two additional dishes of beef and a noodle each around ?$14? which is reasonable to me. We also ordered some cold dishes.

The chicken cold dish is good not greasy or oily, the meatball in the beef pot taste good, meat is fresh.

Total cost is 169 before tip, but we still have some dishes didn't even put it in Because we are full. Basically, we could of only spent 130 or less for two dudes.”

“The clay pots are the best I've eaten in San Gabriel valley; like Hong Kong style. Hot crispy rice to soak with hot water (飯蕉). Prices are reason and restaurant is very clean and stylish. I eat here often, very good value.”
