“Not gonna lie... this Vietnamese cafe serving up pho as well as some other small and special dishes came up on my radar because I saw some fellow Yelpers go to an event here. The food looked/ sounded amazing and it's not too far from where I'm working at the moment. The service here is friendly and the decor /vibe feels and looks like a modern Vietnamese restaurant or cafe. I was really tempted to order the pho here, but opted for the butterfly pea sticky rice (or Xoi Thap Cam) instead. From the pictures, the dish looked beautiful and it's something I haven't had at Vietnamese restaurants in a long time. Also, I think I've had pho a few times around that time...(it's been cold) I also ordered the Bluegrass Lemonade to wash it down. The sticky rice dish had lots of delicious flavors and textures from all the different items. Such a fun dish that's presented very well and a delicious alternative to what probably gets ordered most here (the pho). Don't get me wrong, I definitely want to come back to try their pho as well, but was so happy to try the dish that I ordered. Place is located in a tiny lot/strip mall that was pretty close to a freeway. They have their own parking, but it might get tight. I think there may be street parking close by.”

“I've been wanting to try the southeast Asian food here for so long, and I'm glad I got the chance to recently! They earned the Michelin bib gourmand award for a couple years. They're also all over social media. I think the fact that they're so popular makes it hard to get seated here, and their hours were hard for me to work with (they're closed Wednesdays).The restaurant is hard to spot because they're within a medical/business building. You have to enter the driveway from a busy street and then right away make a U-turn to park underground. There is a stairway that connects the underground parking lot with the upstairs.I was here with only one other person, so we were able to get seated quickly. Between the two of us, we started with the roti canai with chicken curry (the server convinced us that it tasted better than the roti canai without curry) and the kaya toast with butter (again, the server convinced us that it tasted better with butter). Both indeed were very tasty. The curry chicken with the roti may have been unnecessary though. Then I had the dry wanton mee w curry chicken N1 $13.95. This curry chicken was delicious with the dark meat. I think they were very generous with the amount of noodles. My eating partner's Singapore style hainan chicken rice R1 $14.95 was ok, she said. To me it seemed like there was not a lot of chicken, but it is their signature dish/best seller.I would come back to try their other dishes and perhaps what they call white coffee. I might skip on the toast in the future because that's not really a meal to me.”

“I liked sichuan impression, but wasn’t a huge fan. Dishes were creative and tasty, but not outstanding, and the service was all electronic so although the staff were kind it didn’t feel very personal.”

“Ordered Chicken Satay, Rendang, and Borneo with Flat rice noodles. The Chicken Satay was well seasoned with an even amount of satay sauce on top and crispy fried onions sprinkled on top. The Satay sauce was missing from the order but otherwise this was pretty good. The Rendang was savory and the beef had a good amount of moisture in it. The dish overall has a very small amount of spice that is pleasant. The curry egg is well cooked and the spicy peanut anchovy was a tasty side dish to the rice. The Borneo with Flat rice noodles was a solid choice for those who enjoy flat rice noodles. There was a good amount of char siu mixed into the shrimp and fish cake and vegetables. The noodles do not feel greasy and it blends well with the other toppings. The ambiance is very colorful with plenty of awards dotted across the walls. There is a large parking structure for public parking that is convenient to use behind the building so park there when you can. The place does pick up pace around the dinner rush but thankfully there are enough seats around to be seated.Parking: Free parking garage behind the restaurant, browse the maps just behind this restaurant. The ground level parking behind the restaurant seems to not be public parking spaces so just drive into the garage.”

“The food at Henry's restaurant is delicious, with top-quality ingredients. You can't get enough of the Vietnamese lobster noodles, and the beef tenderloin melts in your mouth. It never disappoints. You can try it, you will definitely like it!”

“BEST Taiwanese beef noodle soup hands down! I've never been wow'd by Taiwanese beef noodle soup and this place was a first! They're a small shop but has some big tables for large groups. Food:- House special braised beef noodle (5/5): the soup is PACKED with flavor. Tendon is so soft. Noodle is perfectly cooked. - Braised pork rice (4/5): tender pork. Not too flavorful. Decent dish overall- Pig ears with red oil (4/5): on the less crunchy side but good flavor- Red oil wontons (2/5): both the wontons and chili oil lacked flavor”

“This is an excellent neighborhood omakase spot. The space is airy and welcoming. Everyone was attentive and friendly. Has a parking lot. It was delicious. Portions are small but delicious. Would come again.”

“I’ve visited the one in Cerritos many times. This one is more traditional in terms of design and layout. The tables are a bit uncomfortable on two sides because the table jams into your leg. However, the food is to die for. The food is so good. Stop by and have some dim sum. The string beans are also amazing.”

“If you have never done hotpot before, make sure you come with someone who knows. They are not good at explaining or helping out.I would recommend to come with 4 people at least, this way you can order to share more things (meat, fish, vegetables, whatever you like).I had the gold broth (chicken soup broth) and their original broth (spicy level 1). It felt very spicy to me but I usually like mild. So it makes sense.”

“This bakery was doing free, Easter cookie decorating kits for the kids. The presentation for the kids was really above and beyond but the real gem was the gentleman behind the counter. He was super nice and interacted with the kids in a really great way. I can’t wait to come back here again.”

“Shout out to the guy who delivered my drink to my car! It was super packed so I decided to wait for my drink in the car. When my drink was finished one of the workers came to my car to hand me my drink. I thought that was super nice and he went above and beyond. Also the cups are super adorable!”

“I like this place. The food here is still pretty good. not as amazing as it was when it first opened but pretty good. I came for Saint Patrick's Day this year and the service was excellent. Everyone is so helpful and nice. Our party had a lot of fun. Our 1st shepherd's pie didn't have any meat in it but they brought us another one and it was great. I got an Irish coffee. They gave me a paper cup, only filled it halfway and it was luke warm when they gave it to me. I didn't complain. I just drank it. But why did I give that guy a $5 tip for that lame drink? idk, I guess I was feeling festive LOL. I should have asked them to remake it. I think that's a theme here. I will say the place is good even if it's not good on the first try. Lol. just have them remake it and it will be better. It's also a fun atmosphere and decent drinks.”

“Came around dinner time and there were no tables inside so we had to wait for a table. We stood for around 5 minutes before we got a table. The restaurant is small so I could see why it took a while to be seated. However, since the store is small, we ended up getting a table right by their side entrance door so we felt cold wind every time someone entered or exited. This made our dining experience not as enjoyable since it was a pretty chilly night so the wind was cold and interrupted the meal.We ordered the Filet Mignon Pho (15.5) and Shabu Shabu Style Beef Pho (15.5). They were served pretty fast which was good. The noodles and soup were alright, nothing super special from other pho places I have been too. The beef quality for both pho noodles we got were pretty good though. The meat wasn't tough to chew and was easy to bite and swallow. The shabu shabu style beef was nice and unique as well. It made the pho experience different than others. The portions are very generous though for the price. I could have shared it with another person because there was a lot of noodles.Overall, the pho here is pretty average and the only unqiue thing is their shabu shabu style pho option. Their service is also just normal, you have to go to the cashier to pay for your table at the end of the meal. I would recommend just coming here for a try.”

“A very small Thai restaurant but great food. There isn't a very big parking lot in the back but you can find parking nearby on the streets. There also isn't many tables inside so that is why the wait times get so long. Luckily, we came at a good time and didn't have to wait. The employees are friendly and have good service too.We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, chicken satay, khao soi. The satay was okay but I really liked the pad thai and pad see ew. However, the portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price. One dish is barely enough for one person. But I guess the size is good for trying different dishes with friends.”

“We tried a bunch of plates out between all the family, some plates we tried out were the am chowder, calamari rings, fish and chips, pulled pork sliders, sweet potato fries, asada fries and more I cannot remember the names of, but I did take pictures for your convenience. I also have all beers from the tap in pictures and videos.Overall, we were satisfied with service and portions that are OK for the prices.The staff was super friendly and quick, so I'd recommend you guys try them out.”

“I lost my favorite local burger joint years ago... I couldn't find anything after that was delicious. I love visiting Alhambra/ S. Pasadena area and have seen Pharos countless times. I finally tried it for the first time last month and I have already been there four times after. It's definitely delicious and a neat place to enjoy your meal solo or with people. The staff are very friendly and assist very professionally. Not too many of the original burger places out there anymore that are good but Pharaohs is DEFINITELY a place to enjoy a delicious old fashioned burger! “Fosselman's specializes in producing home made ice cream in a variety of flavors. They have the usual flavors like chocolate and vanilla, but the similarly ends there. They also make special seasonal flavors (think Eggnog, Irish Coffee) to summer fun (orange juice sorbet). The place is always packed on hot days and weekends so come early. One thing to point out. They only take cash, no cards or other forms of payment. Still, for the enjoyment of their ice cream and sherbet its a small inconvenience.”

“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.”

Though if you're getting the fried chicken one that one does that longer to make. “The food here is great- spinach ravioli with pink sauce, a side salad, and garlic bread hit the spot for real, served by people who really care, and enjoy the food as much as you do. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much. The environment is lovely and it's small, but warm, which is often times hard to do. Finding good Italian that is high quality and not too expensive is a feat, but Genoveses does the job.”

“2/18/24: 4.5/5Probably the best handmade dumplings and noodles I’ve had so far in LA and as good as most of the good local shops I’ve been to in China and Asia. Dumplings are hand made and kept in cold storage until cooked to order. Noodles are batched for dough and then rolled and hand cut fresh to order. The dumpling skins and wide noodles have the perfect Q bouncy chew texture. The dumplings can be either boiled, pan fried, or steamed. The shop doesn’t use MSG, which isn’t really a problem, but does mean their food is well balanced and just salty and savory enough. Their beef noodle soup is red braised and may appear lighter in color, but still packs a beefy flavor w/ perfectly cooked tender beef. Their in house sauces like spicy chili oil for wontons and hoisin sauce for beef roll are some of the best I’ve had and also well balanced. Definitely get the sesame pockets that have a nice thin crunchy shell. The pan fried buns are fluffy pillowy w/ a nice thin crispy bottom. The green onion pancake is good although just needed some salt. Think Noodle St still has the best beef roll pancake but You’s is pretty great still. And if you want a drink, try the fresh taro milk smoothie. The owner was super nice to talk to and service was great. You can order from the menu or they have a digital POS machine w/ Chinese+English and pictures.”

“Upon arriving the service was great and the cashier was super nice. It was not super busy and we got our food pretty quickly. We were happy to sit on the second floor which was warm and comfortable. We are so gonna be regulars here. The Turkey sandwich slapped; I ate that sh*t up so fast I forgot to take a picture, so all I could photograph was the wrapper; it has a bite taken out of it. I'm super picky about sandwiches but this one made me happy. The power up smoothie had super refreshing lemongrass and ginger notes and the blended mocha was the perfect amount of sweet. My gf ordered a Cesar salad and she was devouring it so yummy she accidentally bit off part of the fork. I personally believe both of us eating part of the cutlery/packaging says a lot about our eagerness to get to the tasty food but I understand if you judge us a little bit. Overall 10/10 experience, would highly recommend.”

“Loved this spot. I have previously been to one in LA, which is good too but can get crowded. Each person gets their own individual burner and bowl, so no one has to reach over each other. There was no wait time to be seated, and the food was delicious. The only negative thing I can say is it seemed there were only two servers and they seemed overwhelmed. Not cool. I'm not sure if it was just that day or if they are short staffed. So be aware. Other than that, it is a great place to grab lunch or meet with friends and family.”

“Pretty good takeout option if you’re craving Indian food in the area. The samosas are crispy on the outside and soft/boldly flavored on the inside. Their homemade mango lassi is fantastic, rich yogurt base with a fruity blend. Naan is fluffy and fresh, and the curry is well flavored with tender meat. Curry doesn’t include rice like most places I’ve found nearby, and the prices of each item does add up—it’s not a cheap meal especially if you’re dining in for dinner. But overall would recommend and come back.”

“Ordered the Tallarin Verde con Bistec and the Jalea Mixta. The Tallarin Verde con Bistec is Peruvian pesto linguine topped with tender grilled milanesa cut. The meat was a bit chewy but flavorful and juicy. Paired with the vibrant pasta in thick pesto sauce, this was a delightful pick. The Jalea Mixta is a combination of crispy seafood and fish served with fried yucas, golden potatoes, sarza criotta, and tartar sauce. This is a plentiful dish of fried food. The mussels were nice and easy to take apart. The fried fish and squid rings were nicely done, not too overbattered and great with tartar sauce. To avoid the bloated feeling from the fried food, the purple onion salsa (salza criolla) helped to balance the flavors out. Location has its own parking lot which is convenient in downtown Alhambra. Ambiance is really nice with latin songs playing in the background. There is the option of indoor and outdoor tented seating and business picks up during the dinner rush.Parking: Observe any time limits in the area for street parking”

“This is my go-to place for Cantonese-style wonton noodle soup. The noodles has that smooth and "crispy" or al dente texture that you want with wonton noodles vs the over-boiled, starchy or floury textured noodles that many other restaurants use. Their wontons also taste freshly made and are of a good size, not small, with good shrimp and pork meat ratio. There are six wontons per noodle soup order. I always like to order extra noodles for an extra meal since their noodles are so good and wontons are nice and healthy portions. Other places typically gives you five or less and are usually small in size, not freshly made or don't have good filling ratio. The latter may be a personal preference. I used to order the wonton noodles for dine-in during breakfast hours pre-pandemic and it comes with a free hot tea or milk tea but just order it to go now-a-days so don't know if the breakfast experience is still the same. Came here recently for dinner just to have a bowl of wonton after returning from a trip to Taiwan. My sis and mom ordered additional toppings with their wonton noodles. My dad order his nalstalgic salted dried fish fried rice which was surprisingly very tasty and comforting after a long plane ride.”

The restaurant was at about 60% capacity. The food was good. Coffee pots are ridiculously small. Our ketchup bottle was empty, but nothing serious. Recommend the French Toast.The biggest turn-off bathroom was tiny compared to the giant dining area.”

Well...considering this location is one of few and distant 24 hr operating businesses, where bars aren't too far from, it sometimes gets...well..."interesting," to say the least. So, there's that note.Now, as for the service? My experiences have been outweighed by negative ones as opposed to positive. Those are past ones. So on that note, RECENT visits made, I've had the better fortune of positive visits, all thanks to Damian. Having worked this field in the past, I must admit that working around upset, aggressive, loud, and belligerent drunks is nowhere near easy let alone enjoyable. This young gentleman I mention though, has a remarkably mellow and focused work ethic. Have not had ONE negative experience since being helped out by him (and only him) up until current date. He has provided great service, calm and understanding attitude, and knows how to thank customers, rather than receiving the more usual experience of aggressively and poorly packaged orders followed by a slamming of the double windows.Definitely an asset to this location, considering the MANY negative experiences I've had before.In case you read this, and havent heard it lately by anyone...youre doing an amazing job, in mh boom. “Fries were cold. Didn't have my drink ready when I ordered the food on the app. The girl who attended the orders seemed like she didn't wanna be there. Bad day I guess but this was my most recent experience. Food was decent if you know any fast food chain it's a hit or miss anywhere so it is what it is.”

“Delicious, unlimited topping açaí bowl for $10? Heck yeah! Located on Main St (conveniently close to the free lot on 1st St), this place is our go to for post workout açaí bowls. We come here at least twice a week and the quality is consistently top notch. The fruit selection is always fresh and the topping section is clean and organized. You can get a small for $9.95 or a large for $11.95. The small is enough to fill me up after all of the toppings. You start by choosing your base - I opt for either a mixture of açaí and coconut or mango, but there are so many other options too! This is something I haven't seen at other açaí bowl places. Also, they have a wide selection of granola, fruit, and toppings like mochi, coconut, peanut butter, almond butter, honey, etc. Service is consistently solid. A super nice lady whom I believe is the owner is always super welcoming. Overall, a great place to grab a healthy and budget friendly snack!”

“I tried many Indonesian restaurants in the area before and hands down this Wayang restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indonesian foods. I just love the wonderful combination of flavors and fragrances from the tropical spices used in the cooking. Additionally, the owner Lily is very friendly and attentive to all guests. She makes sure everybody is satisfied. It's always been a great pleasure dining at this place. Highly highly recommended! You should definitely give it a try.Vegetarian options: Gado gado ( steamed veggie salad with peanut sauce, tofu and rice cake) is one of the best vegetarian dishes anybody should try ( whether they're vegetarian or not). Also, the size was more like an extra large and a medium. And dessert was very good, I got the ice cream. The average plate is about $20 but it’s worth it. The birthday cakes here are never too sweet which is always a good sign and the frosting is a very light whipped frosting, also not too sweet. The pricing for these cakes are pretty average. Anywhere from $35-$50. Crepe cakes are pricier. I always come here to get baked goods for my family, and I love that they have rewards programs. Many different varieties to choose from all. The service here is great and the staff at the register are always so kind and helpful. They get the line moving pretty quickly. Bakery is decently sized. no dining just a quick grab andgo. But the ladies here work efficiently and utilize all the available space to package your baked goods. Inside is bright and clean.”

That’s how I knew they were legit!!We came on a rainy Saturday around 11:30am there were only two other tables. I feel on a nice day it would be busier.For food we got:- pork scallion pie (5/5). Wowwwww a must try!! It was so juicy and flavorful. The outside is perfectly crispy. This is our favorite and we definitely will try other flavors next time.- pan fried chicken mushroom dumplings (5/5). I love the dumpling skin as you can taste the slightly chew and that’s how you know it’s handmade!- cucumber salad (5/5). Very refreshing and balance out the richness of all the fried dumplings.- pan fried bun (4/5). This is probably my least favorite although it’s still pretty good. It doesn’t have much juice as I thought it would like the pie. So I’ll stick with the pies next time.No fuss service. You order via QR code and food comes out around 10-15 minutes. They have a sign to explain the 15 min wait due to all handmade to order which is well worth it!! This has become our new go-to for weekend brunch.”

I think the fact that they're so popular makes it hard to get seated here, and their hours were hard for me to work with (they're closed Wednesdays).The restaurant is hard to spot because they're within a medical/business building. You have to enter the driveway from a busy street and then right away make a U-turn to park underground. There is a stairway that connects the underground parking lot with the upstairs.I was here with only one other person, so we were able to get seated quickly. Between the two of us, we started with the roti canai with chicken curry (the server convinced us that it tasted better than the roti canai without curry) and the kaya toast with butter (again, the server convinced us that it tasted better with butter). Both indeed were very tasty. The curry chicken with the roti may have been unnecessary though. Then I had the dry wanton mee w curry chicken N1 $13.95. This curry chicken was delicious with the dark meat. I think they were very generous with the amount of noodles. My eating partner's Singapore style hainan chicken rice R1 $14.95 was ok, she said. To me it seemed like there was not a lot of chicken, but it is their signature dish/best seller.I would come back to try their other dishes and perhaps what they call white coffee. I might skip on the toast in the future because that's not really a meal to me.”
