Don't miss Alhambra's top Mexican restaurants, as recommended by Restaurantji.
“My husband and his parents have been coming here for years. It's a family owned restaurant and they have been so kind to us all. Everything is always so delicious. The staff and everyone are always so kind. They speak English and Spanish. You always feel welcome there. I'm glad that I can go in knowing my order is always taken care of and so is my husband and the family. Everyone should come here. You won't regret it! The BEST Carne asada burrito ever! The BEST sopes ever! The BEST little carne tacos ever! They have so much more that is so good too!“
“Pepe's is a long time restaurant establishment in Alhambra. I was glad that I finally got a chance to try it. It was a take out order. I ordered the breakfast burritos and my friend told me it tasted very good and I agreed. The Pepe's here is a self-serve style restaurant. They provide some basic tables and chairs for their customers to eat there and there is no waiter. So set your expectations accordingly. The reason I do not give them 5 stars is because they didn't give me exactly what I ordered. I ordered my food online it might have something to do with it.“
“Awesome joint my band and I went to for breakfast every morning when we were out in California. I grew up in San Diego with some of the best Mexican food but Ive relocated to FLORDIA for the past 10 years so when I got to go out again this place made me feel right at home. Amazing breakfast burritos with a nice coffee. The ladies that work there were down to earth sweet people. Definitely will be back when the band comes out for another show. Awesome little mom and pop shop feel. Highly recommend giving it a shot.“
“Wonderful service, i came in around 9:50am as i was waiting for Petsmart to open and i was a little hungry so i purchased two bean burritos and a small drink. It was a great experience, the restaurant was clean and the staff were very quick to fill my order and they were also very polite. This was a 5 star experience for me.“
“Came here during a week night where they had a game on their big screen in the back patio. Loved how they have patio sectional furniture along with other furniture. Makes you feel right at home!My friend and I shared a huge burrito and got some drinks. The prices were reasonable. If you want water, it's self-serve where there are pitchers and cups on a table. There was a raffle going on as well, and we won a bobblehead. The guy running the raffle made everything so fun and interactive. And he has such an adorable and friendly sharpei pup. The servers did great checking up on us.Free parking in the back lot.Parking: Free parking in the back lot“
“The fish and pastor tacos are so delicious!Came on Taco Tuesday (fish tacos only) and Thursday (meat tacos only). Two fish tacos for $3.25, and you have to buy tacos in increments of 2. The same goes for the meat tacos, buy any meat taco but buy in increments of 2. I tried the fish, pastor, pollo, carnitas, and asada tacos. I enjoyed eating all of them. I especially enjoyed devouring the first 3.They have beverages as well. I got the jamaica, which was good. The items on the menu were pretty much decent in price. Bring cash or else pay the 3% card fee.Customer service was great and efficient. They have tables outside for dining and a self-serve section for jalapeño, onion, and lemon. The place can get busy. Some people eat in their cars. There's a small parking lot and also parking on the street.“
“I went recently. However, the ownership & menu changed. No more alcohol. :( I wish the new owner good luck, but I think she may have to bring back some of the old options in cuisine so she does not lose the old clientele. Just a suggestion.“
“We came tonight for a marching band fundraiser. There is a very large selection and the portions are very good for the price. They also have a happy hour menu that has good sized portions. The menudo was a bit spicier than I expected. The Jamaica was very good, not too sweet and a good size (see the photo). They also have a few large screens for sports fans.Parking: There is a small parking lot and free street parking.“
“Not the cleanest place or the friendliest service the night I came in. They keep it toasty in here, and there is only one restroom per gender that single person locks. Waited over 1 hour for the restroom and had to go elsewhere to pee. Didn't try the food or drinks. I'm not a big pool fan anyway, but if you are, this place is great! Just use the restroom before you get here.“
“I love their breakfast burritos. The only issue that I have here SOMETIMES is that I always order my breakfast burritos with beans and potatoes and about half the time it’s only with potatoes. I hate when it happens because I love their beans lol.Still, I love the food and the ladies that work there are always super chill. Gracias!“
“Came here with my wife since we were in the area. I have to say the tortas are exquisite. If you live by the area I'm sure yall know what I'm talking about. If you're in the area for whatever reason I would recommend to stop by and give it a shot. Everything on the menu seems delicious! Oh and finally the horchata was bomb. 10/10 well done Spanglish Kitchen.“
