“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“

“I don't even know where to start because everything was amazing. Alcohol not necessary for a good time here! The food. The drinks. The vibes. The owners. The things they support. Their selflessness. Their creativity. The hope and life force that they provide for those who need it. They deserve your support. As a celiac, and someone who cannot handle alcohol very well.. this is it. This is what I'm talking about when I say I want atmosphere. This is what I want to give my money to. I got the black garlic pasta and it was incredible. My partner got chicken adobo and it was also amazing. We played chess and chat the owners up for a long while. They do mahjong nights on Thursdays apparently, so if you need socializing in a safe place with good food made by people who care deeply about others - go here.“
“High rating both on yelps and Google Maps.. hip ambience .. lots of original arts displays in restaurants.. first time eating this kind of Chinese cuisines from China.. must eat is the sour soup with fish .& lemon grass is the bomb! Ditto with kung pao chicken. It is different than other Sichuan dishes.. it is juicy !“

“I ordered from Uber Eats, and oh my goodness! Food was fresh, still hot. The steak was tender, well marinated and so delicious. Hummus and pita bread…yummy! They even thought out every detail, making sure utensils and a little baggie with garlic sauce, hot peppers, hot sauce and sumac seasoning was included. Definitely 10 out of 10, thank you! I would have posted a photo, but my food didn’t stand a chance 😋“

“I’ve been here quite a few times and always enjoy it. The place gets busy around lunch and dinner, sometimes with a line out the door. You can tell it’s a family-run spot and that they put a lot of effort into it. Definitely worth supporting.“

“The pastrami dip at The Hat is legendary, and for good reason. The portions are massive, and the meat is juicy and tender. The fries are also ridiculously large—enough to share with two or three people. The place has a no-frills, diner-like feel. It’s indulgent comfort food at its best“
“The best items we got here were definitely the dumplings, which are like soup dumplings, and the crispy pork buns which also had plenty of broth inside. I thought those were super unique, never had something like that before and I really enjoyed the crispiness of the bun. We also got the popcorn chicken which was fine, but a little bit oily and heavy to me, while the pork soup was very light and tasted very clean. Would definitely come here again, truly enjoyed the meal and it was uniquely Taiwanese.“

“If you are in the San Gabriel Valley area you must stop here if you want amazing Sashimi. Started with fatty Tuna that melted in my mouth so fresh delicious then moved on to giant Clams (Mirugai) it was sweet & crunchy I could have gone for second order not many sushi restaurants have (Mirugai)The fatty belly Salmon was buttery & the spicy Tuna hand roll sashimi was perfect coz I’m a spicy food addict it was just heavenly for me. Yum yum 🤤 ended with Kumamoto Oyster 🦪 it was so sweet like cotton candy in your mouth made me wanting more which I did order more. Lol 😂 The house hot Sake was good for a cold night paired so well with my amazing Sashimi! Great way to end my Friday night here! Thank you Chef!“

“I’ve always passed by here but never tried it. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their spring rolls, takoyaki, and popcorn chicken ramen to try. The spring rolls were interestingly cut but very good. Crispy shell with savory veggie filling. Also came with a side of soy sauce for dipping. The takoyaki were crisp with a gooey center, topped with like a sweet mayo, and had a tender not too fish piece of octopus in the middle. The popcorn chicken ramen came with a BUNCH of MASSIVE pieces of crispy, juicy, savory chicken. Like can u even call this popcorn chicken still if they’re this big? Surprisingly paired well with the ramen which also came with came with green onions and pickled ginger, that helped add a brightness to the bowl and wood ear mushrooms, and half an egg. The broth was really savory but not super rich and oily which my sensitive tummy appreciated. The noodles also surprisingly stayed pretty chewy while I was eating them even tho they were soaking up the broth. This place is pretty good.“

“Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. And ordering was very easy since you do it through a QR code but you can also ask for a menu and order that way as well. Food came within 10 to 15 minutes and everything was very hot and fresh. The meat pies were really hot and filled with yummy juices. The scallion pancakes were very very yummy. I highly recommend getting the cucumbers. Service was decent but don't be expecting conversations from these ladies. They bring you your food and that's about it. I can't wait to come back and the prices are so worth it.“

“Last minute pick for a business dinner, and my colleagues weren't disappointed. The rolls were good, but the sashimi was amazing. One colleague said the best she's ever had, and I'd place it among my top 3. Their fish is on point, so is their service. Spaced out tables let's you really soak in the atmosphere and enjoy your table's conversation. Visit this area pretty frequently and will definitely be back. Thank you!!“

“My wife and I shared a beef burrito, and the Carne Asada salad. The dressing to the salad was really tasty, and the steak was better prepared than a steak I had any fancy restaurant last weekend. The burrito was just simple goodness … not too fancy or over done. This is a family owned business that supports the community. Support them … take the family to lunch or dinner You won’t be disappointed!“
“I highly recommend getting the premium package and ordering all the premium dishes. Everything is so fresh and tasty—definitely worth the upgrade. After that, you can order the regular sushi you like. They accept both credit cards and cash, and there’s a restroom available. It can get busy on weekends, so see if you can make a reservation.“

“Let me just say that Andrew who runs Ohana Brewing Company is an amazing person. It’s clear he has a passion for both brewing and making guests feel welcome. The way he shares his knowledge about the beers and their brewing process adds a personal touch that really enhances the experience. Whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for a chill spot to unwind, Ohana Brewing Co. hits the mark. The space is cozy, and the selection is varied enough to keep things interesting—whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth stouts, or something in between. It’s a perfect local spot to enjoy a drink, relax, and chat with friends or even meet new people. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area!“

“I love the food my favorite is the linguine clams which is made with a white wine sauce but you can ask for red if you desire. Everywhere you go now a days is expensive but at least portions are large and shareable. It surprises me to read the reviews and see that people enjoyed the Tyson frozen wings they use to serve at Vittoria’s for years. I also would like to note that I love the antipasto salad and it doesn’t have only one meat as I read on one of the reviews. Also everywhere that has delivery service charges more when ordered on the app. Update: they are no longer charging for water. I can say that yes they are short staffed sometimes as well as many other restaurants have been ever since COVID. I really love the service and I will continue to be a customer for many years!! It always amazes me that people can’t see when it’s busy and aren’t understanding.“

“Absolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant in Alhambra. It reminds me of the Chinese food I used to have when I was a kid in the 70s. Many long time customers come here and many younger customers as well. The service is fast. The food is served quickly and hot. However, they don’t rush you. You can take your time. Enjoy your meal and talk with your family or friends. Because the place is so great there are a lot of people and they are all talking and eating so it can be quite lively. I would highly recommend coming here for traditional old-school Chinese food.“

“Our delivery order arrived in poor condition. The sweet potato fries were burnt, and both the fries and burgers were cold. Considering the cost of the food, this was unacceptable, and I felt it was important to notify ownership directly.
Update: Delivery quality missed the mark initially, but ownership reached out, took accountability, and resolved the issue professionally. I appreciate how they handled it — still my favorite burgers.“

“We ordered: Peach Typhoon, Mango Pomelo Sago, Basil Seed Wintermelon Calamansi Tea, Black Sesame Midnight.
Our first time here. A lot of foot traffic coming and going. Everything tasted wonderful, the right amount of tea flavor and sweetness in every drink. So many different drinks to choose from, will definitely come back to try more.“
“I love this place! My boyfriend and I were getting boba and the smell is what brought us in! Thank god for that smell of their amazing red oil looking sauce they give with meat. The workers were so kind and helped us! I used a translator to help us communicate and he gave us everything we hoped to try. It was soooooo good! We have loved every single item we have tried!“

“My husband and I were looking for a new place to try and came across this suggestion via Yelp. We will definitely be coming back. Only dislikes were, we didn't care for the pancakes. They tasted funny and texture was not normal. The breakfast potatoes lacked seasoning and veggies were not fully cooked, but can be fixed.“

“This place is like many of the Hong Kong style eateries around the San Gabriel and Alhambra area. I enjoy mixing Western and Eastern cuisine so I always enjoy HK style food. Would go again and definitely recommend if you like HK food. Menu was decently large too.“

“Solid for milk tea, ample parking, quite a large space. Menu is limited and not all items (understandably) have adjustable sweetness, the staff are great at explaining. The more limited menu does mean you might not find a drink you like, but they cover all the basics.“

“A classic Cantonese restaurant in LA that’s perfect for Lunar New Year gatherings
Honestly, the Lunar New Year vibe in Los Angeles isn’t always about lanterns or decorations —
sometimes it’s found in an old, reliable restaurant where the whole family can eat comfortably and happily 🥢
Before the Lunar New Year, I took my family to this Cantonese restaurant in Alhambra.
The environment was very comfortable, with spacious table spacing. You hear Cantonese all around, which feels truly authentic. The service was steady and reliable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
Their dishes aren’t flashy, but they’re the kind you can keep eating without getting tired of 👇
🍃 Lotus leaf–steamed frog: light and delicate, very tender, and easy to enjoy bite after bite
🧄 Typhoon shelter–style clams: perfectly garlicky, served hot and quickly cleaned off the plate
🦑 Salt-and-pepper fresh squid: crispy outside with a nice chew inside, cooked just right
🥬 Stir-fried pea shoots: clean and refreshing — a must on any shared table
🍜 Dry-fried beef chow fun: not greasy, noodles intact, beef tender — classic Cantonese fundamentals done well
A really heartwarming touch was the complimentary soy milk & black sesame tangyuan 🍡 after the meal.
Warm, lightly sweet, and not cloying — the perfect ending.
If you’re looking for a Lunar New Year spot where:
✔️ elders feel comfortable with the food
✔️ the family can chat without too much noise
✔️ the dishes are consistent and reliable
This place is a great choice.
Sometimes, the feeling of the New Year is simply sitting around the same table and enjoying a good meal together 🤍“

“Excellent place for dumplings and noodles. Three of us went there for dinner and had the pork and shrimp fried dumplings, the beef roll, the pork and pickled vegetables noodle soup, and the stir fried vegetables. They were all delicious and very reasonably priced. We highly recommend this place for tasty food.“
“Cantonese approved authentic restaurant!
The Singapore char siu reminds me of a famous dish back in hometown and it's the closest I can find in the state at Kue's. I love the tenderness and not oily fat part, which is very rare and hard to find in pork dishes.
Love the taishan style eel clay pot rice too, very big portions, we usually order when we just got to the restaurant because it takes a longer time to cook.
House chicken salad is not bad, i think it's a bit fusion with the pickled ginger.
Sui chow king is another one that i like, especially the deep fried tarot with a lot of dried fish.
The servers are nice, they would help mixing and serving rices, soups etc.“

“Always great service! 💗 Though I am a bit upset as I ordered a Strawberry Peach Blast & got a Berry Blast instead which is more expensive, I got overcharged. I would still give this place 5 stars, owner is nice. I would come again. But I’m hoping next time before the order is taken, verify with the owner as I am a business owner myself. I would always verify with the customer to make sure I’m getting what they want or need.“
“Really enjoyed trying the spring menu at Re:Bakesic—everything felt creative and well thought out.
We tried a mix of their seasonal pastries and drinks. The Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone was one of my favorites—the matcha flavor was nicely balanced with the strawberry, and the mochi added a fun chewy texture.
The Easter Pistachio Chocolate Mochi Egg Tart was not only super cute but also very rich and satisfying. The combination of pistachio and chocolate worked really well, and the mochi inside gave it an extra layer of texture.
For drinks, the “Childhood Memory” shaken espresso was light and refreshing, with subtle notes of jasmine, apple, and pear—definitely something different from your typical coffee. The “Zen Bloom” was also great, with lightly sweetened jasmine tea topped with a salted matcha cream that balanced everything nicely.
Overall, I love how their menu combines unique flavors without being overly sweet. Great spot if you’re looking for something a little different from your usual dessert and coffee places.“
