“Tried Dave’s Hot Chicken and it was really good!
The chicken was super juicy with a crispy coating and strong flavor. I got medium spice, which was perfect🤤🤤🤤❤️❤️
Sliders were the highlight, fries were just okay. A bit oily, but definitely worth it for the taste.
Overall, a solid spot for spicy chicken 🍗🔥“

“Pho Filet 2 is a solid Vietnamese spot in the San Gabriel Valley if you’re craving a comforting bowl of pho. The restaurant has a casual, no-frills atmosphere where locals come for quick and satisfying meals.
I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (special beef pho), and the broth was rich and aromatic. It came with a generous portion of noodles and different cuts of beef like brisket and tendon. The meat was tender, and the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime really brought the whole bowl together.
I also tried the spring rolls with peanut sauce, which were fresh and light, making a great appetizer before the pho. The portions were big and the prices were very reasonable.
Service was fast and friendly, and the food came out quickly even when the restaurant was busy. Overall, Pho Filet 2 is a great casual spot for authentic Vietnamese comfort food.“

“This is a diner that apparently has been here for decades. A family owned restaurant for the local community. This place is the go to especially after playing golf at Whittier Narrows down the street.
My son loves this place, his go to is always the club sandwich fries included. My personal favorite is the patty melt with fries. For appetizers we love the onion rings. A heads up, if you order a large fries that's exactly what you get. Not the typical small serving but a mound of fries to share for the whole table.
It's a no frills local joint where they have regulars that always come in. These mom and pop places are what makes this country what it is, not the cookie cutter chain restaurants. Always support your local businesses.“

“As a Vietnamese person, che is something that reminds you of childhood. Dont get me wrong though, there was no nostalgia in assessing how amazing the che’s were. My wife who is not Vietnamese also was incredibly happy.
We bought the special and the avocado Che. I literally couldn’t have been happier. We got it to go and they gave us ice with them to fill later. The ice is perfect size for the Che.
The palm sugar cake has great chewiness and is not too sweet, also for the price it can’t be beat. If you are into the chewiness of mochi, then this will be enjoyable for you as well!“

“Dim sum means “to touch the heart” but it’s basically little shareable plates. The food was excellent. The service efficient. Beautiful atmosphere. Favorite dish was Thai Style Tofu with Chicken Broth - a textural delight… if you’re into that kinda thing.“

“This place is such a hole in the wall, would honestly come back. This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden. The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. I would come back any day for tacos!Parking lot is shared with other shops but not too busy! The menu is consistent and so is their food!Would come back again! Don’t let the small shop and sketchy look deceive you!“

“Staff was absolutely helpful and kind! The Decor and table set ups looked beautiful and family friendly. We ordered the Chow Fun with Veggies and the House Special Prawns. Chow fun was perfect! When I say it was the best prawns I’ve ever had, it was the best prawns I’ve ever had. They have something special here and I would recommend 10/10.“

“Came here on a Tuesday for lunch with my parents. It was a bit busy, but the wait was under 10 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all.
We ordered the usual dim sum staples and added one special item, the imperial cold chicken. That dish was the standout. Super flavorful, tender, and honestly the highlight of the meal. Everything else we ordered was solid and hit the spot. The food overall was really good.
Ambiance is exactly what you’d expect from a classic Chinese restaurant. Loud, busy, and energetic. You can still hold a conversation, but you’ll need to raise your voice a bit.
Now the downside. Service was lacking. We had to refill our own teapot and grab our own to-go boxes. No real attentiveness, and compared to other dim sum spots nearby, the service here falls short.
Parking is convenient. They have a small free lot plus free street parking, which is always a plus.
Would I come back? If someone else suggested it, sure. The food is excellent, but the service definitely needs improvement.“

“Hidden gem for classic French food in Rosemead 🇫🇷
La Vie Restaurant has been a family-owned mom-and-pop restaurant for over 30 years, and you can definitely feel the old-school charm the moment you walk in. The decor may not be modern or trendy, but the food is comforting, reasonably priced, and gives that nostalgic neighborhood French restaurant vibe.
One thing I really appreciated is that the main entrée comes with soup of the day, a simple salad, bread, and coffee — hard to find that kind of full-course experience nowadays.
We started with the escargot and it was honestly the highlight for me 🐌 The garlic butter and herbs were so flavorful, and dipping the warm bread into the sauce made it even better.
🥣 Le Potage du Jour – Split Pea Soup
🐌 Les Escargots de Bourgogne – Snails, Garlic Butter & Herbs
🦆 Le Canard au Grand Marnier – Roast Duckling with Orange Sauce
🐑 La Carré D’Agneau Bergerie – Roast Rack of Lamb with Garlic Crust
🥧 Soufflé au Grand Marnier
The lamb and duck were decent and nicely portioned, though next time I’d probably explore some of their other dishes. The Grand Marnier soufflé was a nice sweet finish to end the meal.
They also have their own parking lot, which is always a plus in this area. Just note they’re only open Thursday–Sunday after 5pm, and reservations are definitely recommended since seating is limited.“
“My cousin, who lives nearby, always comes here to buy us cold tofu pudding, sweet sticky rice (xôi), and traditional Vietnamese desserts (chè, bánh, etc.) whenever we visit the family. Everything is consistently delicious—perfectly balanced, with the bánh and chè never overly sweet.
I’m from Seattle, and on this trip I finally got the chance to stop by and pick up the “snacks” myself. What a lovely place! The owner is kind and funny, and everything we bought yesterday was fresh, flavorful, and made with care.“

“Came here with fam for lunch on a weekend. It can be so packed at this place bc it va be very busy! This is very lowkey casual ambiance so no need to dress up.
Food is served within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Drinks can be added on for $2.50 when ordering meals and if you want to make it large they’ll tack on extra 88 cents. The drinks do take a while to come out especially the teas bc they’re freshly made behind the counter. Also, they seem to be so busy that it’s hard to flag down servers unless they’re brining food or drinks.
The food is quite alright here and as expected for a HK / Canto style palate.
Note they have 2 menus — one that is bigger and more extensive, and a simpler one (photos are of the simpler menu). Prices are fair for the size of the dishes (they’re not huge like other places but also most are under $15 a dish).
We ordered the following and all was tasty:
- sweet and sour pork ribs
- egg over friend rice and gravy (the kids loved it)
- seafood tofu clay pot
- beef w mushrooms stir fry
- yellow chicken
Restrooms: they’ve got 2 separate ones. Decently clean, thankfully.
Parking is FREE but quite difficult here in the plaza bc the lot is shared with so many other eateries in that McDonald’s plaza. So either you wait for a spot to open or take your car down the block and walk a little.“

“A jewel among hole in the wall… authentic Cantonese food… went there twice within one week and looking forward again to try out other dishes… the lunch special on weekdays is until 5 and it is only $9.99!!! And they give you soup & rice too.. with price of food up the roof.. I don’t know any other restaurants with that price! But don’t matter if doesn’t taste good … so thank me later.. the sea bass hot pot is their signature dish! Will take family and eat there soon..“

“There is a variety of food options available for everyone from sushi rolls, pizza, chicken nuggets, Chinese, etc. Some food options were out for a while which tasted stale and lost flavor, but it was very few things compared to most of the available options.
The service was well as they had staff putting out food, clean utensils and serving refills for drinks.
The environment was pretty loud in some areas and the lighting is a bit dim, which can be improved on to feel welcoming or light up the dining area. Great price overall if you want to get all you can eat sushi along with other food options.“
