“Authentic, delicious flavors. Good portion size. If you want the spice. They have it and delivery it amazingly. Service was fast, and incredible. A heads up, it is a smaller establishment and it will get filled up quickly during dinner. There is parking in the front, though it is limited.“

“The service was COMPLETELY unacceptable. An employee was rude, speaking in a language I can’t recognize and started yelling at me simply because I didn't understand what she was trying to say. Why get angry and keep screaming when customers don't understand? This business is located in LA—if an obvious communication barrier happens, staff should try to bridge it instead of continuing to yell in the same language at a confused customer. I can't believe I was treated this way. Do we now need to learn EVERY LANGUAGE ON EARTH just to get basic service?“

“First time trying Chong Yuen Fong Clay Pot Rice in Alhambra. The restaurant is conveniently located at the corner of Garfield and Valley Blvd, and there were plenty of parking spaces available in the lot. Inside, the ambiance is cozy and captures that classic Hong Kong-style cafe vibe with nice wall decor.
We tried the preserved duck and salted fish clay pot rice. While the overall flavor was on point, the preserved duck and salted fish just weren't to my personal taste. However, we absolutely loved the lotus leaf steamed rice with chicken, mushroom, and minced pork! We also opted for the $5 soup add-on; it was loaded with plenty of ingredients, though it arrived a bit bland, so we had to add some salt. To finish the meal, the Portuguese egg tarts were absolutely delicious!
Service here is minimal, as you order via a QR code at the table and pay at the cashier once you finish your meal. Overall, a solid spot with some great highlights.“

“I had a wonderful meal here today. Everything was fresh, hot, and prepared with care.
The thin noodles were cooked perfectly and paired beautifully with the tender beef. I especially loved the rich, dark savory sauce and the side of broth with scallions. The dumplings were just as impressive, with a delicate wrap and a savory filling that hit the spot.
I am already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their menu. This place is a real gem in Alhambra.“

“Only got take out so can't comment on the service but my interaction told me it is about what you can expect from most places in SGV. Don't judge this place by its cover. Food is really well made. This is going to be my go to place for dumpling and Beijing pie takeout.“

“If you want the absolute best bang for your buck in Alhambra, Baccali is hands down the spot. It's a total local classic for a reason. I've been coming here since 2001.
We find ourselves coming back all the time, and we always stick to our foolproof routine: the garlic lobster special and the filet mignon. The lobster is packed with flavor and gives you incredible value, and the filet mignon is always cooked right. To top it all off, we always get it with all fries because they just hit the spot every single time.
As a huge bonus, they offer free refills on most of their drink, which includes their amazing Thai tea with boba! It's rare to find a spot that treats you this well on drinks while serving up such great food.
Generous portions, amazing prices, and comfort food at its finest. We'll be back just like we always are!“

“「鴻豐尚品」
Originally I was here to park my car and wanted to have lunch at other restaurant nearby. But the sign shows “parking Lot is for customer only”. That’s the reason why I have my lunch here.
I am very pleased with the amazing dim sum and the old-time atmosphere. The portion of food is huge and the price is reasonable. Definitely I’ll come back again!“

“This place is like many of the Hong Kong style eateries around the San Gabriel and Alhambra area. I enjoy mixing Western and Eastern cuisine so I always enjoy HK style food. Would go again and definitely recommend if you like HK food. Menu was decently large too.“

“Really enjoyed our meal at California Beef Noodle King! The beef noodle soup was flavorful and comforting, and the noodles had a great texture. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, and the portions were generous. We came with the family and everyone enjoyed it. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when craving a good bowl of beef noodles!“

“Their house special noodle bowl is comfort food and it is gigantic.
I'm from the SF Bay Area and I can't get enough of their noodles.
They have the best kidneys if you're into that.
They make their own chili sauce in house.
The service is great and they come often to fill your tea cups and remove emptied plates.
This small restaurant is highly recommended.“
“We ordered the beef hot pot$68?, it comes with some complimentary beef and vegetables, and we order ordered two additional dishes of beef and a noodle each around ?$14? which is reasonable to me. We also ordered some cold dishes.
The chicken cold dish is good not greasy or oily, the meatball in the beef pot taste good, meat is fresh.
Total cost is 169 before tip, but we still have some dishes didn't even put it in Because we are full. Basically, we could of only spent 130 or less for two dudes.“

“The clay pots are the best I've eaten in San Gabriel valley; like Hong Kong style. Hot crispy rice to soak with hot water (飯蕉). Prices are reason and restaurant is very clean and stylish. I eat here often, very good value.“

“This quaint spot was on a list of authentic Chinese food in our area. The competition is fierce in Alhambra and the Bamboo Harden held its own. First of all, the server/owner/husband wanted to upsell everything. There were only two of us, but we were there to support the small business community so we ended ordering four dishes all over $16 each.
Delicious vegetables, cooked perfectly and the sauces mixed in to the dishes were truly authentic tasting. I recommend what is pictured. Even the egg drop soup was really good. Parking is easy and if you don’t mind his wife watching reels on her phone at a high volume then you’ll enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. Also, there are specials for $21.95, but he said they were small portions and we should order off the entrees.“
“Had the shrimp vermicelli shanghai style noodles, which I highly recommend. The service was good, the food is yummy and inexpensive. We dined in. The restaurant is non-descript and they accept cash only, so just be prepared! Perfect Chinese food!“

“Been coming here for years. The only spot in the area to not suffer from shrinkflation. The red rice with the steak cubes is my go-to but their hainan chicken and Cornish hen are pretty good too! Service is stellar and the vibes are chill. I'll continue coming here for years!“

“Tried this place during a lunch business trip. I ordered the beef with rice noodle bowl, it was very good and super filling. Not too salty at all. We also ordered a beef rice roll, you roll them yourself. The lettuce had some old parts but there was plenty so it's fine. Overall the portions are very reasonable and the beef was good, not much fat. I'd definitely come here again if in the area.“

“Authentic spicy food with some unique dishes, especially the hotpot duck. The spicy level is a little beyond my level but still taste good. The downside/limitation is the sodium level was a little too high even I asked for a low salty level, probably they thought the low salty level might impact the overall flavor. Wait time is a little long but pretty similar with my expectation based on the information from social media channels.“

“Food good. Service good. Ambiance good. However, don't look in the kitchen when walking to the restroom.
Came here on Christmas Day with group of seven. It was my first time and the place was big with many tables and booths. The service was good and friendly. We ordered:
- Chinese Green in Supreme Soup
- Salt Pepper Pork Ribs
- Salted w/ Tofu
- Fried geoduck
- Geoduck veggie mix
- Lobster w/ garlic noodles
My favorite was the salted chicken w/ tofu - perfect savory sauce on rice. The day was going great until the last moment. As I made my way to the restroom, which was not the greatest cleaning, kitchen is open to look when walking down the hallway. Lets just say I am on fence to go back here after seeing that kitchen. While most of us are not surprised since traditional asian restaurant, kitchen could still be better. Now I'm curious whats really salted in my favorite dish...“

“Haven’t been to a Sam Woo for a while but seriously wanted a no nonsense lunch and this little hole in the wall hit just right.
They have Chinese BBQ items which many take away. They have a very small sitting area but with the quick and efficient service the turn over is pretty high and if you wait it shouldn’t be too bad.
Their menu is full of Chinese staples and you are sure to find something to please your palate. We chose beef fried noodle and the 2 BBQ and rice plate. We chose chicken and pork with crispy skin. That skin packed the perfect crunch!
Both dishes are authentically flavored. Come out quick and hot. The table service comes with tea which is nice!“

“Our favorite place to eat when we fly into Los Angeles! A huge menu and everything we tried was tasty. And the portions are huge with very reasonable prices. The menu is big & diverse, containing Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other Asian dishes, as well as fish & chips, steaks, chops, and grilled chicken. YUM!“

“Kang Kang Food Court has been around for a very long time. Very causal ambiance type of price.
On this visit, I ordered their famous Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Buns ($14.47). I've been eating these since I was in high school. Back then, it was one of the best things I had ever eaten, and the price was about half of what it is now. Even though the price has gone up over the years, the buns still taste just as good, and I still crave them from time to time. They are made to order, so if you're in a hurry, it's a good idea to call ahead. These are not fine dining pork bun with thin dough, but more like home style pork buns.
I also picked up the Baked Pork Moon Cake ($25.40), which is usually available around the Mid-Autumn Festival season. It has a savory pork filling wrapped in a crispy, flaky crust. For people who don't enjoy traditional sweet mooncakes, this is a great alternative.
Another thing I noticed is that they have a large selection of frozen items. I'm already planning my next visit to try the 50-piece Xiao Long Bao package for $23.
During my visit, many customers were ordering the combo specials. The 4-item combo with soup and rice was only $11.83, and the dishes looked surprisingly decent for the price.
Parking is available in the plaza behind the restaurant. The ordering process is simple: go to the register, place your order, pay, and wait for your food.
Overall, Kang Kang remains a reliable spot for classic Shanghai-style comfort food and a nostalgic favorite that has stood the test of time.“

“Everything about this dining experience was perfect. I've never had that before, where literally every box is checked...
Every single item we ordered blew our minds with how tasty they were. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
We were traveling from Utah and were in that town accidentally. We wandered in to the closest restaurant nearby and were not at all prepared for how nice this was. Even though we were not looking our best from a long day on the road, we were treated kindly and even had nice conversation with the owner.
This is now on our must list EVERY time we come to California!“
