“The food was delicious. The environment was very pretty. The service was very nice. The food portions here are large so it is family style. We had plenty of food for both of us to enjoy for lunch the next day. The orange chicken was really good and had a bit of a crispness to each bite.“

“I’ve been coming for years since they first opened! I grew up in Mexicali, Mexico known for its famous Chinese/Mexican food.
I was married to a Chinese Taiwanese woman & made a beautiful child. I’ve been to Asia and pride myself on being one of the most open minded foodies out there, I love high end experiences as well as street food alike. If the food is good the food is good!
However I do pay close attention to details & quality of ingredients and most importantly to be honest is the ability to feel welcomed & cared for in a place, Dans modern Chinese checks all the boxes for me, I’ve brought my Mexican grandma to this place the same way I’ve brought my foodie Asian friends- to me this place is consistent & service is always their focus, I know a few of the people by their name and they know mine. I may go months ar at a time without visiting yet I always feel like a local and most beloved customer. So thank you Dan modern Chinese!“

“I love this place!!! Traveling North from OC area stopped to eat here. I read the reviews and thought I’d give it a try. These plates were so full of color, every bite was bursting with fresh delicious goodness!! I didn’t want to put the fork down 🤣 OH and let me mention the fork!!! I’ve never seen a fork so perfectly curved and held each bite so well that it didn’t fall off 😂🫶🏼 that’s a winner for me! 🥰
The atmosphere was very clean, well lit from the window view and the service was super sweet!! The price was just right. Portions were nice. Everything was perfect! It’s a little restaurant right off the street and if you’re not careful (like me) you’ll miss it. This is definitely a place I’ve saved on my maps for future stops! Delicioso 😋🥳“

The food is cooked fresh and fast. I particularly like the black pepper udon and claypot rice.

“Such a great experience at Diner Dash! The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Mapo Tofu, and it was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The Mango Pomelo dessert was sooo good—refreshing, sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal!

The ambiance was welcoming and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. A special shoutout to Gabriel, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and fast with our orders. His excellent service made our visit even better.

“IFYKYK I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Me and my 5 older siblings. Back when Luisiana fried chicken used to be a donut shop only. But seriously this place hits home and people will or will not understand the service they give . It’s direct and quick since they run off family owned they have their system in doing things . I love it here and always recommend the chicken teriyaki lunch special .I’ve had that order since 2000 (I’m a ‘94 baby).

I visited this location around 9:00 PM and wanted to recognize the manager on duty. I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she demonstrated some of the best customer service I've seen in a long time.

During a challenging customer interaction, she remained calm, professional, patient, and respectful throughout. She listened carefully, acknowledged concerns, and handled the situation with a level of composure that was genuinely impressive.

As someone who works in management and regularly deals with public-facing situations, I know how difficult that can be. Her communication skills and professionalism stood out and are a credit to this location.
