“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants for really great food. I believe this place is Michelin rated. I'm not surprised. My favorite is the crispy shrimp/prawns. They must use super hot oil to get the shrimp shells to be so light and crispy. You can eat the whole shrimp, shell, tail and all!Today, the 2 of us had the beef brisket with quail eggs and the zhajianmein, a noodle dish using black bean sauce. Both very good. Very flavorful.Good service. They have set a high bar. Many new restaurants are trying to outclass and outdo Bistro Na. I was surprised to get seating for 2 on a busy afternoon after church. Maybe the others are out trying the new contenders?“

“I love this restaurant so much! It’s never as full as I think it should be; maybe people are intimidated by the DIY element? (It’s a build-your-own malatang / mala dry pot kind of spot.) The flavors are authentic and spicy (but you can dial down the spice if that’s not your thing.) there’s also a cash discount if you pay with cash.Parking: There is street parking in the neighborhood as well as a dedicated lot behind the restaurant (free).“

“Nestled in the heart of Arcadia, Phoenix Restaurant offers a delightful culinary journey through Southern Chinese desserts and Cantonese comfort food. As a frequent patron, it has become my go-to destination whenever cravings for authentic Cantonese flavors arise. One of the highlights of Phoenix Restaurant is their traditional approach to crafting dishes, exemplified by their exquisite red bean paste soup. Cooked using the time-honored method with dried orange peel and lotus seeds, this dessert embodies nostalgia with every spoonful. The texture of the red bean paste is impeccably balanced, meeting my discerning taste preferences perfectly. For those seeking a savory indulgence, the Yandchow fried rice stands out as a quintessential comfort dish. Bursting with flavor and expertly prepared, each bite offers a comforting embrace reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Whether enjoyed as a standalone delight or paired with other Cantonese classics, the Yandchow fried rice never fails to impress.Beyond the culinary delights, Phoenix Restaurant prides itself on exceptional service that adds to the overall dining experience. Attentive staff members ensure that every visit is met with warmth and efficiency, enhancing the ambiance of the restaurant. Moreover, the reasonable prices at Phoenix Restaurant make it an accessible option for both casual dining and special occasions. “came in by myself for lunch, after seeing a great review of the place. it's located next to another chicken restaurant inside a shopping plaza. very clean restaurant, empty around 1pm. throughout my lunch, I was the only dine-in customer; only 3 people walked in wondering what they sell, and 1 person ended up ordering to go. the server was friendly and recommended their spicy chicken/hen. I didn't order it as they only sell as whole chicken and I cannot finish it. she also recommended if I'd like to try different things they can combine and sell by weight. so I ordered 2 gizzards, 1 beef tendon and 1 pig's ear as an appetizer plate, and a noodle dish as main dish. the appetizer plate was flavorful, all were cooked well and tender (as gizzard and tendons can be tough if not cooked through), but then since they're all 'smoked' in the same recipe, they all tasted the same. I couldn't finish it by myself so I took 1/2 plate home for sandwiches the next day. the noodle soup came in a large bowl with a smoked chicken leg sliced, plus some picked string beans and a fried tofu skin. again, the chicken leg was smoked and tasted the same as the appetizer plate. the portion was a lot for me so I also took some leftover chicken legs slices home. overall the restaurant is very clean, almost look like they've just had a grand opening. lots of selections to choose from, although all have same smoked recipe, except a few items (whole chicken, pigs knuckles, etc. also came in a spicy recipe). I think that's why most people just order to gos, when they have a craving for a specific item. I'll probably come back to try their spicy items if I'm in the neighborhood.“

“Best hidden little gem! Mr. Kuso catered our office event for the second time this year. Every dish was thought out and tasty! You can tell the attention that went into making it. Even though it was made for an office of 35 people, it did not lose its individual flavors, freshness, or texture one bit! Wasn't sure how the office folks would like Taiwanese cuisine as our office is very diverse, but good food is universal and Mr. Kuso is a hit. We ordered hot and sour too, but forgot to get a picture. It was also really good! All of it was delicious.“

You can tell they care about making things fresh for their customers - the vegetables were so fresh and delicious, and their seaweed fish was so crisp and delicious, I couldn't resist eating before the sesame pie came out. You know they're serious about food and don't care about any of the frills. I love ahgoo's so much. Thank you for having us!“

“B2O has become my family's new go-to weekend restaurant. Great service with complimentary pickled cabbage and marinated boiled peanuts which are to die for. Beer is also BOGO per pitcher, which is great because you get a voucher if you don't immediately want to redeem the second pitcher of beer. The B2O fried chicken is a must try. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and juicy. Another favorite is their 3 cup tofu and basil eggplant dish. Their music choice is kind of weird, but it's not too big of a deal (same short-ish playlist on repeat, including the gummy bear song). At least they don't blast it like some restaurants do. Waitstaff will also help package up leftover food, which is always appreciated!“

“Amazing crab which is their famous most popular dish, and lobster yee noodles. I lived the live steamed fish, although we had to send it back because it wasn't fully cooked the first time. Shrimp in lettuce wraps was fun for the kids, but too little filling given. Service was really lacking though, had to get up to get their attention several times to get things like water, forks, even to order and get the check. They didn't change our plates until we were done (not useful).Nice big banquet sized tables though, so we could fit 16 people on one table.Pricey though, good for special occasions“

“I believe Bay Garden Café is underrated for its authentic Cantonese food and HK café cuisine. Despite being around for over 6+ years, the place doesn't seem as crowded as it used to be. They offer a great selection of Cantonese dishes, and their service is consistently fast. The pricing is very reasonable considering the generous portions of food you receive. The dishes are authentic, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. However, I must deduct one star due to the very dirty restrooms and old glasses/dishware.Quick tips: Parking is available right behind the restaurant, which is shared with other shops in the same plaza. Street parking is also an option. They offer a lunch special from 8 am to 3 pm daily at a very reasonable price. While many people may be drawn to the new Alice’s Kitchen (one of the best HK cafés in the area) across the street, I encourage giving Bay Garden Café a try if you're looking for something different. You might discover something you like even better at Bay Garden Café.“
