“A new store has opened here! Now it’s Cantonese food + Malatang. The rice rolls look great and taste good. The addition of chopped peanuts is interesting and the portion is not small, but the soy sauce is not very interesting. The spicy hotpot is super delicious, the soup base is very fragrant, and the ingredients are very tasty. I recommend that it be a little spicy.“

“Great spot for HK breakfast! The beef congee was perfection. Noodle soup and toast were great too. Classic menu and family local vibe. Everything came out fast. The server didn’t really speak English (and I don’t really speak Chinese) but it was totally fine just made sure to point at specifically what I wanted. Milk tea was not too sweet!!“

“Visited for their breakfast a while back. The congee menu comes with various side dishes your choice suit my taste buds just right. Went for dinner first time a day ago. We ordered sweet and sour spare rubs, fried rice, water crest with snow bass soup. As a neighbor family style dinner, the quality and quantity are just fair. Cannot expect perfection. I don't mind going back again for a quick bite. Servers are always courteous and friendlier than many other eateries in the near cities. Thumps up for me to this establishment.“

“For breakfast, you can choose one porridge + two kinds of food, plus a drink. There are many choices of food combinations, the portions are sufficient, and the taste is good. Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks they provide is really poor. This can be greatly improved. space. In addition, the store is clean and tidy, and the service is excellent, which is worthy of appreciation.“

“Wow one of the strongest standing Hong Kong western restaurants in SGV! I have been to this restaurant a few times as a child and it's still going despite Great Recession and COVID pandemic! Last time I came, it brought back a lot of childhood memories and the food was still amazing! Will come back in the future!“

“It's more like a new-style morning tea. The environment is pretty good and the dishes are pretty good. The service is very good. The roasted duck on the copper plate is okay. The skin is thin and crispy. The meat is very tender. The baked rice with seafood is in white sauce and has almost no taste. It's average. The black gold quicksand buns taste like the ones I bought in the supermarket. The mangosteen beef balls are almost as delicious as the barbecued pork rice rolls with mushrooms added in them.“

“Thursday morning
I explored a Hong Kong-style restaurant hidden in a corner. The simple and straightforward decoration was my first impression when I first saw it. Scan QRcode to order food also has some modern highlights.
Four dishes to try under the knife
The first course: hometown wontons
The light and delicious taste can be said to be full of surprises on the taste buds and make you salivate with endless aftertaste.
And the second dish: Hong Kong-style radish and beef offal
the moment of chewing
There is a delicious taste on the tip of the tongue, it is really a delicacy that is full of praise and vitality.
The third dish is freshly made beef rice rolls
The smooth and tender rice rolls, paired with the freshness and sweetness of the beef, are simply a delicious treat that "dissolves only in the mouth but not in the hands"
The last classic dish: Pan-fried rice noodles with smooth egg, beef and pineapple
The refreshing pan-fried crispy rice noodles are a creative Chinese pizza crust, combined with a combination of filling elements, creating a "Happy Morning" brunch.“

“The place is clean. The staff were quick and efficient. The food was outstanding. The place was extremely noisey, but it was all other customers because the place was packed.
Parking: Some of the staff had trouble understanding English. My son and I were the only non Asians in the place.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you have a wheelchair, you can use it there.“

“A small restaurant in Arcadia and right next to 99 ranch, offering a wide variety of authentic Cantonese dishes! I highly recommend the rice noodle – it's currently my top choice among rice noodles in LA. They offer four sets and only $9.99 lunch specials(and come with 1 free drink) that are fantastic deals for trying more dishes.
Parking: Easy to find a parking during weekday dinner time“

“This wonton is probably the best in the Los Angeles area. It tastes really good, but the pork inside is too rough and there are chunks of fat that haven't been shredded. The shrimps are very green, and there are three or four shrimps.
The dry-fried beef he made has a first-class taste, and the pot is strong, but the beef is not very tender without the pulp. Highly recommended place to try.“

“Restaurant was very crowded on a Sunday lunch but we managed to get a table very quickly. Push carts came fast and we ordered hastily. On hindsight, we should slowly look at the menu and decide instead of being pressured by the cart ajunmas.Food is kinda meh. Dim Sum pieces are big but the skin is also very thick. Braised Chicken feet were good, Kai lan was good but the Xiao long bao, cheong fun and har kao were sub-standard.“

“Best dim sum I’ve had since living in the Bay! Everything made me go yummmm! Soft pillows of goodness they call Coconut buns were divine! Soup dumplings, pork buns, lotus balls, egg yolk buns, all fresh, tasty, not greasy, just ahmazing!Only 3 stars atmosphere because it is simple, take away focused. Which is fine. Clean and light. I think there is seating that was blocked off behind screen - maybe because there is construction in parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: Owner offered my kiddo a free OJ while we waited (5 min) for our order. Plenty of options for non-adventurous eaters.“

“Hole in the wall, hidden gem, mom & pop vibes! they take card!
I can't get over these egg noodles in this wonton mein! seems like most places serve it up clumped together and you need to split your chopsticks to break them apart - BUT NOT HERE. they are silky and bouncy! and the soup is nicely flavored, enhancing everything in the dish. you also get four big wontons filled with plump shrimp and pork. I also love their hainan chicken, well seasoned, and the filet mignon has a nice kick.
Nice selection of traditional asian dessert options in individual serving sides (tofu pudding with ginger syrup, "che thai", ube tofu, etc.) and they also sell their wontons/dumplings frozen + noodles in packages.
parking is available on the street!
limited seating, but a lot of folks are doing takeaway!“

“An excellent hole in the wall that satisfies all taste buds in one sitting! I am ALWAYS craving their noodles! Both affordable and tasteful. It doesn't get better than this--even a noodle house doesn't top their food. There's a variety of options, but they're known for their infamous wonton noodle soup! People tend to pair it with some delicious "Chinese donuts"“

“Bay Island continues to be a good choice for your Hong Kong Style cafe. With familiar Cantonese dishes, they are still a local favorite as seemingly there is a small resurgence.
Their menu is very complete with noodles, stir fry, clay pots, and some nice traditional entrees. Rice is served plenty without that single bowl service that other restaurants annoying do.
Drinks however are served in plastic disposables, but you can't enforce environmentally friendly practices everywhere.
The service is typical and fast. The value is exceptional along with Cantonese flavors that are not overly seasoned.“

“Dining at Delicious Food Corner is like dating a supermodel who insists on texting during the entire dinner. The food? Absolutely stunning. I’d swipe right on that garlic shrimp and pasta any day. But the service? Let’s just say it arrived slower than my last Amazon package, and that was free shipping.
The flavors danced on my tongue like they had trained for years with the best culinary choreographers. But my server? It felt like they were doing the moonwalk... backward... away from my table.
In short: Come for the food, stay for the exercise—of your patience!“

“Yumcha is delicious, but the Drunken Chicken is a bit inferior. Maybe American chicken is not delicious! The bean curd beef balls are slightly salty...others are okay! The main hall was almost full at noon on Tuesday, and business was good….
I came here again, half of the roast duck feathers were not plucked, and I gave a big bill but didn't get any change for a long time. Does this mean that the change should be regarded as the entire tip? So disrespectful to the guests!“

“This is the best roast pork I have ever eaten in LA. The skin is crispy and the meat is tender. Although the dining environment is a bit rough, it is still very clean. The owners speak Cantonese and their English is very average, so please ask for communication. Be more patient.“

“Young chow fried rice is disappointing. It can only be labeled as young chow style FR or shrimp and char siu FR. It is missing lots of key ingredients like sea cucumbers, mushrooms, green peas, and scallops. However, what they lacked in FR has been made up in reverse osmosis ice water. No tab water served here.“

“Capital Seafood is one of my favorite Dim Sum restaurants in LA. They offer all the traditional Dim Sum dishes, and everything is incredibly fresh, served from old-school push carts. “My boyfriend wanted to drink mung bean soup and found this store. They had mung bean soup. I hadn’t seen the ratings and reviews before I came here. Then I came in with a feeling of trepidation. The store was clean, bright, and fragrant. The boss was very friendly and gave me a sample of the mung bean soup. The claws are delicious and the food is served quickly. The presentation of the dishes is very good and the photos look great. They also gave me two bowls of soup. The boss was very considerate and asked if I needed two bowls. It is a recommended store worth a return visit.“

“Wendy makes you feel at home, always cheerful. The best Cantonese food I've ever tasted, you are served plenty of food, and the free tea, is great tasting. I frequently bring in new people, so they can enjoy the great food, and Wendy's great service.
Vegetarian options: They mostly cater to beef, chicken, and seafood lovers
Parking: There’s enough apace in their lot, if not there’s usually plenty of space on the street as well
Kid-friendliness: It’s a family oriented restaurant and has been for the last 40 years“

“This is a small independent shop that only does take out. Nothing fancy.
I came on a Sunday and the parking was packed. There are other shops and a supermarket as well. People do park and go rather quickly, though.
If you spend more than $20, you won't be charged a $1 fee. They only accept mastercard and visa; otherwise, pay cash.
Dim sum items are typically under $5. They sell other items/dishes for more and also specialty drinks.
I ordered $58 worth of dim sum and tried some in the car. I was happy with my order.
If you like cheap and decent dim sum, this place is it. Customers seem to love this place. There was a long line when I was here, and they kept refilling the food trays quickly.“

“Longten Cafe offers a nice, inviting atmosphere with its design, large window area and well laid out seating. You don't feel cramped, and with the high ceiling it isn't too noisy, even when full. The menu offers standard dishes you would expect to see in a Hong Kong style cafe, and several more that are classic but not commonly found. If you like spice, I highly recommend their fish in spicy chili oil...it is a huge bowl filled with a very large amount of chunks of fish and vegetables in a quite spicy chili oil. The vegetable choices here are pretty nice by the way, they are fresh and it's nice to see them offered. The service is very cheery and helpful, and it is easy to get hold of staff if you need anything. Prices are reasonable, but moderate.
Vegetarian options: There is a nice selection of vegetable dishes, plus you can modify a couple and create them. Interesting vegetables are offered: lotus root, lady fingers, wood ear mushrooms, etc. Tofu of course.
Parking: Parking is underground. There is street parking, but it's difficult. Use the garage instead.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families come here. No children's menu that I'm aware of, but high chairs are available.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is an elevator from the garage, and seating is easy to accommodate inside the restaurant.“

“11am-5pm Daily Lunch Special with rice and soup. Our favorite simple Canto LUNCH SPECIAL restaurant, and just takeout Chinese restaurant overall!! Its not the best, but quality is decent, and they have the variety I like.
Depending on what you order, it can be oily, especially the dishes we ordered this time. This visit, it felt like Chinese fast food but better quality. Maybe it was a different chef today? Many places offer too much meat, become a carbo load place, or it's just more mainland China taste and dishes. This place is typical OG Canto lunch specials. They give alot of meat and veggies.
Lunch special prices:
1. Pan fried String Beans with Minced pork $12.99
3. Eggplant and Minced Pork with Garlic Sauce $12.99. Forgot this dish here is too oily and soggy for us.
29. Beef with Bitter Melon in Black Bean Sauce $14.99. We've been trying to get into the bitter melon life for better health.
32. Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce $14.99.
57. Preserved Vegetable with Pork Intestine $15.99. Will order again because we love intestine. They give alot.
We ordered to a certain point where lobster was an additional deal for us...$30 lobster.
Lunch Special soup is always the typical light version. Rice is typical, nothing special, nothing bad.
This visit, we ordered pretty oily items. In previous visits we ordered different dishes. Lettuce and tofu, and shredded bamboo tofu fungus we're not for us last time. We're not into sweet and sour dishes, sweet, spare ribs but we have tried it here; it's not for us but good for those who usually like those dishes. I'll probably order the house special dish (lotus, sausage, fungus), seafood crispy chow mein, crispy intestine, walnut shrimp, jelly fish again.
I'm not a fan of the new popular fad of Canto breakfast specials around 626 SGV. My mom loves deals and loves lunch special...but I think her social circle has changed (with age too) to breakfast special.
We also order (full price) takeout too.“

“Classic dim sum spot! A bit of a wait, service may seem rushed, but the food is traditional and all part of the experience. Space is pretty big and can get packed. They specialize more in the seafood options too if you want something more entree style. The shrimp and chive dumplings were one of my standouts. Overall, it can be an intimidating experience if you’re not used to dim sum, but one that foodies should try if they haven’t!“

“First time here. The soy bone soup and rice here are unlimited and free, and they taste good. I had three dishes for lunch today, Longli fish, beef, and signature chicken. I felt the taste was a bit salty, especially the Longli fish. Maybe to be more in line with American tastes? Overall, the environment is quiet and not noisy. By the way, lunch and dinner prices are different because the portions are different.“

“Nestled in its modest space, Mr. Champion invites patrons to savor the essence of Cantonese cuisine with a menu that may be succinct but is rich in authentic flavors. The small size of the restaurant doesn't hinder its service; on the contrary, the staff's attentiveness adds to the overall dining experience.During our visit, we sampled the BBQ pork rice roll and the fried rice noodle with shredded pork. The culinary magic unfolded as each bite revealed a symphony of flavors, highlighting the skillful use of the wok, resulting in that coveted wok hei essence. The dishes were not only delicious but also a testament to the restaurant's dedication to maintaining the true spirit of Cantonese cooking. The rice rolls, while undoubtedly tasty, did leave us wanting more due to their petite portions. However, the quality of the ingredients and the expert execution compensated for the size. It's worth noting that Mr. Champion is an excellent choice for those seeking an authentic Cantonese breakfast or lunch experience. The simplicity of the menu ensures a focus on quality, making it a haven for aficionados of comforting Cantonese cuisine.“
