“We’ve been to this location before, but the service tonight was by far the most memorable. I did not catch the name of the girl who served us tonight, but what a vibe. Super friendly, great personality, and super accommodating due to some of the items not being available. Lowkey hate when I get a burrito half ass made, but she went above and beyond. And at the end of the night, we don’t get a lot of great service at some locations. She kept saying she was having a good night, but we appreciate her helping us have a good night too.“

“Walked here from corner of Sunset and Lilac. The tacos here never disappoint. They are always made to perfection. Down to the slice of onion with the mole taco, and the avocado on the Tinga. They always give perfect presentation and quality. We had a Jamaica and horchata.

“The owners here have a lot to be proud of. It’s a phenomenal restaurant surrounded by a million great restaurants. I got the Azteca and Al pastor burritos with an horchata and all of it was absolutely incredible. Definitely lived up to the hype. I’d go all the time if it were closer.“

“Was really excited to try this place with a galpal recently, and while the space itself is no doubt gorgeous, found the service and food a bit lackluster. We waited a long time to be greeted and get water once sat, even though the restaurant was only partially full - so much so the server did apologize once they did show up. But then we proceeded to wait a long time again to place our order, and then had to flag down our server after waiting a long time to get another glass of wine mid-meal. Overall, it was a fine experience, but was really shocking to be charged a credit card fee on the bill. I can't imagine folks are paying cash often at this price point, and I've never ever been passed a 3% credit card fee at a nice, sit-down restaurant.“

This Indian-Mexican fusion restaurant is a fantastic combination of two amazing cuisines. The flavors work together surprisingly well, with bold Indian spices blended with familiar Mexican favorites in a really creative way.

Everything we tried was flavorful, fresh, and well prepared. The portions were generous, the presentation was great, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. You can tell there’s a lot of thought and passion behind the food.

I make this trip from Inglewood and I'll be coming here more often. I came here once and had am amazing experience. My mother works down the street at the general hospital, she had never tried it. She went by on my recommendation and now she's got her entire office hooked. We met here and after 2 years of not being here I realized how much I was missing out. I forgot how special this place is. You can't go wrong with anything she makes. I went crazy and ordered like 8 things the first time because I wanted to sample everything. Well I came back and she gave me multiple samples of all kinds of things on the house and let's just say I order another 6 things to go. All of it amazing. Believe me this lady has talent, skills and the charisma to keep you entertained as if you were visiting your Tia or grandmother in Mexico. Absolute delight and I can't stress it enough, try this before you go around wasting your time looking for other places. This is a little bit of Mexico right in your backyard!“

“We stopped by while visiting LA, in search of good local tacos and Taco La 26 did not disappoint!!! The tortillas were fresh, the salsa was delicious & the al pastor was my favorite! I love that they have free roasted potato’s and onions, so no matter what you get a filling meal.

You order at the food station then pay at the counter with the square machines. No where to sit but honestly they’ll be gone before you could sit down.

It is a block from skid row, & as tourist we weren’t familiar - but like anywhere else, just pay attention to your surroundings. The location is gated and there’s plenty of parking.

Open late and so delicious! 10/10 recommend & would DEFINITELY eat here again.“

“Came here for the 1st time after years of driving by. We got the sampler knowing it was small tacos, but assorted fillings, which is perfect. Also, we ordered a pork tamale, ceviche tostada, cochinita taco, and chile relleno burrito, all items were on their cute chalk board, no prices though.
Everything we tried was delicious and fresh, some of the tacos didn't need salsa, but highly recommend you get all of them. The ceviche tostada was a refreshing bite after those spicy tacos, I almost ordered another, but had to try the rest. The tamale was crumbly(?) dough like we prefer and the chile relleno was also good in comparing it to other restaurants around there, but not as hearty as at a burrito place.
We will be returning to try other items and more ceviche tostadas.
Parking is hard to find in the area when street sweep passes, but there's a public lot a block away you might find parking or bus it.“

Chichen Itza is a small, but confident showcase. There is consistent high quality to the food, which is artfully prepared and served. The dishes include delicacies such as: Cochinita Pibil, Poc Chuc, Relleno Negro, Agua de Chaya, and others. Humble, basic ingredients from the earth and sea, crafted into dishes possessing impeccable flavor and soul.

For those wary of high scoville numbers, the heat is restrained, but you can lay it on too and enjoy the wonderful flavor that can be harnessed from the Habanero.

As it is within a food court, and there is the intensely popular Holbox next door, the smell of ceviche and other uncooked seafood can be present. Finding seating can be challenging as well. Do not let this keep you from going.

Park on the street, and ignore the line out the door for Holbox. The food, and the people of Chichen Itza are worth every effort to come enjoy.“

“We visited El Compadre to celebrate my uncle’s birthday, and overall it was a good experience. One of the highlights was definitely the famous flaming margaritas. They were fun to watch, very flavorful, and a great way to kick off the celebration.

I ordered the enchiladas, and they were rich, tasty, and very filling. The portion size was generous, and I couldn’t finish the entire plate.

The service was decent, but it took a while for the waiters to come and take our order. Also, the complimentary chips and salsa brought to the table at the beginning were disappointing. The chips tasted like old oil and had a strong oily smell, which wasn’t the best first impression.

The food and margaritas were the stars of the visit, but there is definitely room for improvement with the service and the quality of the chips.“

“I got the tasajo which was already good but omg the moronga was DELICIOUS. I am usually not a fan of blood sausages or blood related food but this was so smooth, tender, savory and flavorful. If I didn’t already know it was a blood sausage I would have never guessed. The serving is huge if you eat standard servings you could easily split a portion but we got greedy.

Highly recommended just for the fact that they changed my mind about blood sausage.

“Came here during ciclavia. Got the rosemary potato tacos and they were phenomenal. Crispy, not drenched in oil and the bed of cabbage it was on was slightly pickled and crispy. The chili crisp on top was a slapper!!! Can’t remark on ambiance because it was ciclavia and music was super loud so I was screaming my orders and I couldn’t sit inside. One of the salsas has fish sauce so ask ahead of time if you’re vegetarian. Street parking only and no credit card accepted when I went. Will have to go back to try the rest.“

“What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“
