“Afters has been my favorite ice cream place ever since moving to Cali back in 2018. I've tried multiple flavors, but keep coming back to the Salty O's (as a milkshake, and often with some caramel thrown in). I've tried and enjoyed the Ube Brownie, cookie monster, dark matter brownie batter, and the milk & cereal.

All solid tasty options that I would get again. For a friend's bday 🎂 I plan on getting them an Afters ice cream cake.

“Handel's is an excellent place to get great tasting ice cream. I prefer, however, their Hollywood location over this one in Pasadena. At least in Hollywood, you can taste test. The size of the ice cream scoops were smaller here and merrier than at the Hollywood one we frequent. Overall, still a positive, yummy experience. ✨“

What in grateful is it was a Saturday evening, they work till 8pm. All other days they close at 5pm and Monday they are closed. I ordered oatmeal matcha latte , it was 6.50 and worth it“

We went with a large party and we were served quickly.

Everyone enjoyed their ice cream and we were surprised by the reasonable prices for the quantity and quality of the ice cream.

The facility was clean and the seating comfortable.

There is seating at all locations, some with more than others.

Parking is available, but can get busy during peak hours.

After a friend’s birthday dinner in the Arts District on Saturday, I spotted a long line outside Salt & Straw. As an ice cream lover, I had to see what the excitement was about! My friend and I each got a double scoop of Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons and Chocolate Gooey Brownie. Both were delicious, but the sea salt caramel was the standout for me. We couldn’t finish because we were still so full from dinner, but we definitely tried!

Fast forward to today. I was craving ice cream and made the trip downtown just to go back. This time, I paired Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons with Hazelnut Cookies & Cream. So, so good!

I’m supposed to be cutting down on ice cream, but Salt & Straw is making that very difficult 😂 I’ll definitely be back. If you’re around downtown LA and craving ice cream, I highly recommend stopping by!“

“We recently heard about Perla's from our teen daughter. Unassuming, cute but a bit hard to spot driving southbound on Oceanview, just south of downtown Montrose. I've always told my kids that there are no better ice cream flavors than Filipino ice cream and I'm so glad they finally got to try some. So much better than store-bought Magnolia brand ice cream (no shade intended) and not as sweet as conventional flavors. I had the Melon, while my family got Buko Pandan (MY FAVORITE), Ube and Louisiana Banana. There are a few seats inside and ample seating outside. I can't wait to try the other flavors!“

“Fosters Freeze’s, Large soft serve,Vanilla ice cream cones, dipped in chocolate syrup, are good and messy. They made me a triple cheeseburger back in the early 70’s way before Burger King or In-n- out ever had them.“
