I love this place! The matcha is legit good! It’s strong and definitely not too sweet! Their products are imported from Uji Japan! You can definitely taste it, it’s not your typical LA Matcha place that’s too water down and bland. This is definitely legit matcha! My go to is the matcha shaved ice and Maiko special with UBE and matcha combo is sooo sooo good! I tried the Hojicha Matcha Latte Float OMG!!! to die for! I love Hojicha with matcha ice cream the Best! The hojicha by itself is strong and I love it! Definitely bang for your back the portion is really huge and good for sharing.

The location is cute, simple and has seating options. It’s inside the plaza so there’s free parking.

The service is fast and friendly, they do get pretty busy and I love how the quality of the matcha/ teas stays the same. I’ve been to their Rowland heights location. Glad I found out that they also have 626 location in Monterey park!
This is definitely my go to matcha place.“

“Mango Sago and condensed milk were by far my favorite. Each cup comes with 3 toppings (and a slurry of unique options). The staff was super accommodating (and friendly) and let my family and I try all the flavors. They also sell pints of previous flavors in a freezer by the register.“

Then Scoops is your Valhalla, a veritable Mt Olympus of flavor combinations. At least 2 non-dairy choices + a sorbet and it won’t be the same as you bought last week or the week before that. “Handel's is an excellent place to get great tasting ice cream. I prefer, however, their Hollywood location over this one in Pasadena. At least in Hollywood, you can taste test. The size of the ice cream scoops were smaller here and merrier than at the Hollywood one we frequent. Overall, still a positive, yummy experience. ✨“

“My God I’m so grateful. I was already in little Tokyo and wanted a matcha. A quick google search lead me to this place and it’s said to be the best in LA. I think, I can agree with that statement. What in grateful is it was a Saturday evening, they work till 8pm. All other days they close at 5pm and Monday they are closed. I ordered oatmeal matcha latte , it was 6.50 and worth it“

We went with a large party and we were served quickly.

Everyone enjoyed their ice cream and we were surprised by the reasonable prices for the quantity and quality of the ice cream.

The facility was clean and the seating comfortable.

There is seating at all locations, some with more than others.

Parking is available, but can get busy during peak hours.

“Delicious ice cream. Nice variety of selections. I got the affogato and it was perfect. The young kid with the curly hair in his eyes is extremely rude and grumpy. No hello, nothing. Gave us an attitude when we asked him about the cones. It's an ice cream shop. Smile more, you're working in the wrong place kid.Unfortunately this is the norm now with this generation.“

“Visited here on a Friday evening & it was moderately busy. This specific spot is very spacious compared to other Salt & Straws, clean interior is always a plus. Love that they have a little merchandise store with some benches inside & some open tables outside.

Parking here can be a bit tough though. Either parking on the curb which can be hard due to how packed the Art District can get. The alternate is to park in paid lots that can range from $4- $15+

Staff here is great, my wife and I wanted to try plenty of ice cream flavors and they were really accommodating & friendly.

We decided on a double scoop on a cup. Our two flavors combined were Salted Malted Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough & Hazelnut Cookies & Cream. Scoop sizes are pretty big and pretty overflowing for the cups. It would be perfect if the cups were just a bit bigger to hold the scoops. Although it's a bit sweet, it was the perfect dessert after a meal.

Overall, great spot for ice cream, can't go wrong with any flavors as all the flavors are delicious. Love the vibes here because of the staff, will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area.“

“My first time there wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Upon going in they had a nice little crowd, the staff was nice and helpful. So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.“

“We recently heard about Perla's from our teen daughter. Unassuming, cute but a bit hard to spot driving southbound on Oceanview, just south of downtown Montrose. I've always told my kids that there are no better ice cream flavors than Filipino ice cream and I'm so glad they finally got to try some. So much better than store-bought Magnolia brand ice cream (no shade intended) and not as sweet as conventional flavors. I had the Melon, while my family got Buko Pandan (MY FAVORITE), Ube and Louisiana Banana. There are a few seats inside and ample seating outside. I can't wait to try the other flavors!“

“Just the way Foster's was when I was a kid. They used to have these in Orange County, I thought they closed up! This place has plenty of parking, you sit outside. They sell burgers and drinks too, but I only go to buy a tiny cup of soft serve for $2-$3 that they totally overfill!“
