It's such a drag for them to have school solely online... It was time for a social interaction/ice cream break... La Michoacana to the rescue! My small chamango ($4.95) was super delicious. No ingredient was skimped... Both of my girls got a small cup worth two massive scoops each. We kind of had to wing the flavors because with COVID going on, La Michoacana does not allow samples. I came in to pick up a last min cake for my stepson, not his main birthday cake just a little weekday birthday celebration with his dad and I before the weekends festivities. I expected a small cake with happy birthday. I asked if they had any Spiderman decorations that I could add and the kind gentleman in the front said he would ask the cake designer since he was there. Okay...so can I preface this by saying if they said no or go find one yourself or you need to pre order that, ALL would have been justified and I would have politely purchased my generic cake and been on my way. Nothing more was needed. However the universe decided to bless me with.... JIMMY. This kind man took my order, to my specifications and produced this gem in under 30 min. It's always brewed to taste earthy and the black tea shines through. I LOVE the Golden boba it compliments the tea very well.This location has plenty of seating and cute decor. “You'll miss this place if you're not looking for it. It's a little gem hidden in a big street. They have a fun menu with interesting items like their "j latti" which is shaved ice with soft serve ice cream; it's great. They also have traditional stuff like sundaes, banana splits, and even milkshakes. It's family owned and the owners are cordial. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. My only gripe is that it's a little bit run down and there are only a few benches outside which aren't very well kept. It's still cozy enough especially in the evening.“
