Being Dia de los Muertos/Halloween season, Nomad Ice Pops had some popsicles shaped like skulls. After perusing the menu, horchata stood out & compelled a purchase.Horchata ($3.50)-Sabroso! Horchata was one of my favorite drinks, when I didn't care about sugar, calories, good health, diabetes. Heck, I remember I bought a large horchata from a former Albertaco's in Hawaiian Gardens, only to come back in a hour or so & buy another one. For shame! Anyhoo, Nomad Ice Pops' dairy-free horchata popsicle had all the taste & flavors of horchata that I remembered. It was frozen solid, meaning it didn't melt at all on a high 80's day. I ate the whole popsicle one bite at a time, which made things less messy.Service was good. Nomad Ice Pops operates as a takeout window. “Typically I don't eat at yogurtland. I'm not a big frozen yogurt person and especially not during the winter. But I received a Christmas gift card to come here so I decided to use it. And I'm glad I did. It was surprisingly satisfying. We mixed a whole bunch of different yogurts together including strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, etc. We chose as many delightful toppings as we could manage to fit. And it was surprisingly delectable and enjoyable. With one cup filled to capacity, it is more than enough to feed two grown adults. Total cost was about $10 give or take a few pennies. I never really came to this place because I thought it was more for children but it is actually very refreshing and enjoyable for people all ages. Really enjoyed the Kiwi topping, strawberry, boba topping, tiny chocolate chip cookies which tasted more like cereal, blueberries, etc.The service was good, quick and simple. It's self-serve, so it's no hassle. If you're looking for some desserts or cold treats, I do recommend trying this place out!“

“Located right on Green before Wilson, only street parking available. Absolutely love their Thai Tea soft serve. They do have other flavor drinks available, both hot and cold. Freshly made cookies also for sale. You do have the option to make the soft serve into a float with different tea options. If it’s your first time here get the “Trophy” which includes all the toppings except for Oreo crumbs. No tables or public bathroom, just a single bench seat while you wait for your order.“
“Amazing ice cream with tons of different flavors, handmade everyday. The milkshakes, malts, banana splits, and etc., are just as amazing. The price is just right for premium handmade ice cream. You can even get a pint or a quart of your favorite ice cream(s) to go if you really want. The only downside is that there is no indoors, you order your food through window openings at the counter, while standing outside. But it makes sense, since there really isn't enough room for an indoor section. It's not a big deal though, as once you get your ice cream you can jump back in your car and finish it at home.“

“I heard about Jugos Naturales through word of mouth. I decided to pay the establishment a visit. When I entered the restaurant it reminded me about the mom n pop shops aesthetic found in Mexico. Very vibrant colors and many pictures of the food they sell. The two ladies working the establishment were very kind and did not rush us when we looked over the menu. We diced to order a torta that did not disappint, an esquite with Hot Cheeto crumbs that was something new for me but definitely not a regret, a licuado de platano which was delicious, and a bionico that was extremely generous in serving. “You'll miss this place if you're not looking for it. It's a little gem hidden in a big street. They have a fun menu with interesting items like their "j latti" which is shaved ice with soft serve ice cream; it's great. They also have traditional stuff like sundaes, banana splits, and even milkshakes. It's family owned and the owners are cordial. Prices are reasonable and portions are great. My only gripe is that it's a little bit run down and there are only a few benches outside which aren't very well kept. It's still cozy enough especially in the evening.“

Our cashier/server, Cindy, was amazingly helpful and friendly in recommending their best sellers so we opted for the Nutella-filled churros and just a plain soft serve to pair with it. The churros were made so fresh it was crisp and soft (not to mention so much thicker than I expected them to be) that pocketed the right amount of filling as it didn't make a big mess when taking a bite. The soft serve was just as good when Cindy handed it over, it was swirled pretty high and tall (not pictured as I immediately dug into that one). “Finally got the chance to try this dessert place after always passing by. I got the pure milk soft serve and 3 pieces of taiyaki in custard and red bean. The soft serve is a nice texture and it's very soft. The milk is a bit too sweet, in my opinion. And you can self serve on several toppings for the soft serve. The taiyaki is very good, just wish that it is a bit more crispy. They give a generous amount of filling inside the taiyaki. Inside is a small place. They only have a bench and a couple of stools. Overall, a great dessert place!“
