“Their varieties of breads and cakes are fewer comparing to the other 85degree bakeries, I don’t mind driving further for more choices. But if I’m craving a slice of Black Forest cake, then I’ll come here, since they will always have the classics/basics here.“
“small cute shop but only two small tables to sit at,, they were really nice and recommended a lot of treats for us! we tried the tiramisu, mango roll, mango mochi, pomelo mango sago drink, almond cookies, and the variety custard pack! the family favorites were the almond cookies, sago drink, and mango roll!! so so good and yummy would definitely return for those :D“

“I decided to stop by Grace & Wheat after seeing them on Instagram, and I’m glad I did. I picked up the Portuguese egg tarts (6 for $10) and the Taro egg tarts (4 for $10).
First things first: the flavor of the egg tarts is excellent. They have a really nice balance of sweetness and that classic creamy texture you look for. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the red bean inside the taro egg tart. Personally, I think the taro would shine much better with a different filling (or even just on its own) as the red bean felt a bit distracting.
The shop itself was pretty empty when I visited, with only one display case of desserts out. As someone who wants to see local spots succeed, I think adding a tea or drink menu would really help round out the experience and give people a reason to linger. The desserts are definitely high-quality, so I really hope they continue to grow and fill out that space!“

“Simply Splendid Bakery in Monterey Park is hands down the best Hong Kong–style bakery I’ve found in South LA — truly authentic and delicious. Their pastries taste just like what you’d get in Hong Kong, if not better!
My absolute favorite is the white egg tart — it’s incredible, and I honestly haven’t seen any other bakery offer this. It’s perfectly flaky, rich, and not overly sweet.
The prices are also very reasonable and affordable, which makes it easy to come back again and again. Their Hong Kong–style breads are outstanding too — soft, fresh, and flavorful.
Highly recommend this place if you love authentic Hong Kong pastries. I’ll definitely keep coming back! 🥐“
“Really enjoyed trying the spring menu at Re:Bakesic—everything felt creative and well thought out.
We tried a mix of their seasonal pastries and drinks. The Matcha Strawberry Mochi Scone was one of my favorites—the matcha flavor was nicely balanced with the strawberry, and the mochi added a fun chewy texture.
The Easter Pistachio Chocolate Mochi Egg Tart was not only super cute but also very rich and satisfying. The combination of pistachio and chocolate worked really well, and the mochi inside gave it an extra layer of texture.
For drinks, the “Childhood Memory” shaken espresso was light and refreshing, with subtle notes of jasmine, apple, and pear—definitely something different from your typical coffee. The “Zen Bloom” was also great, with lightly sweetened jasmine tea topped with a salted matcha cream that balanced everything nicely.
Overall, I love how their menu combines unique flavors without being overly sweet. Great spot if you’re looking for something a little different from your usual dessert and coffee places.“
“Little pastry shop that famous for Taiwanese pastry. Especially the mung bean cake 綠豆椪 $4.25 per one. They have vegetarian or version go pork. I prefer the vegetarian version. They sell out quick. But you can always call in ahead of time to reserve it. They also sell bento, and dumpling. Overall please with the food and pastry.“
