“This bakery made my wedding cake, I requested a celestial theme and they made the absolute most stunning cake I’ve ever seen in my entire life. They went above and beyond to make the cake of our dreams that was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious (lavender lemon flavored!) I am so glad that we chose Flouring to make our cake and could not more highly recommend them to anyone else!“

“My first time there wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Upon going in they had a nice little crowd, the staff was nice and helpful. So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.“

“Lee’s cafe is a Taiwanese-style cafe with a hint of Hong Kong sparkle, serving the perfect mix of Taiwanese and Hong Kong food. The toast is absolutely marvelous, and I truly believe it is worth every penny. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the other dishes. The sesame cold noodles were good, but missing something—I felt they didn’t quite hit the mark. The wontons were delicious, but the braised pork belly rice was your typical run-of-the-mill rice. Nothing terribly special, but delicious nonetheless. The HK milk tea, however, leaned very watery and missed the signature strong tea taste of a HK milk tea.
Also, their bathroom sink was broken and put as a “use at your own risk”. Hopefully they have fixed this since my visit!
Yet, through all this, I would still return to Liu’s kitchen—for their toast!“

“We ordered our wedding cake from Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen. Using the cake testing kit was a great experience—it came with a lovely personalized note, and was a great activity to do together while planning our wedding (and provided us multiple evenings’ worth of dessert!) The staff at the store were always friendly to interact with, as well.

Ordering was very easy and straightforward, with prompt and efficient communication. We ended up using one of the example designs on the website, and it came out looking wonderful. The cake had layers of chocolate and red velvet cake with mocha buttercream icing and hazelnuts added between the layers—we highly recommend this combination!

We tasked a family member with fetching us breakfast on the day, and coincidentally they happened to visit Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen for that as well—so thank you also for some delicious breakfast baked goods!“

“Great coffee. LA breakfast burrito was bomb, hot sauce was bomb, sausage was a highlight. Out of bacon and steak 💔 and they serve milk which threw me off. Crunchwrap was tasty they had well seasoned beans. The cinnamon roll was bready soft and tasty. The frosting was cloying and overwhelmed the cinnamon roll IMO. Overall great selection and would come back to try the other baked goods and menu options. “Family-run! Father cooks while daughter is front of house — love to see it! Their focaccia is so good, and the Daviola pizza was awesome too. The dough was airy and light while the meat was super juicy. Service was excellent: they really take care of you there. They really pay attention 💕“

“I had a crazy craving for bbq pork buns and I now ONLY get them from here, and I live 30 minutes away on a clear day of traffic so I wanted to hurry before traffic got dumb. My favorite is the steamed chicken bun which I forgot to take pictures of before I ate them all. It’s a little meal all in one go with minced chicken, Chinese sausage, hard boiled egg all in a perfect seasoned mix. They freeze great! They have both steamed and baked bbq pork buns and I prefer the steamed but I get both and they still are the best deal.
I also got two pork sung buns to eat on the drive home but I could barely finish one they were so big. They have many other pastries and items, but I don’t know enough about them to want to try although I’ve heard really good things about the pineapple buns. I’m not a big custard or moon cake fan but people say good things about those as well. My only advice is to go in prepared for what you want and get there as early as you can. I got there by 7:15 AM and they open at 7 which makes parking is a breeze. There were only three people in front of me with two gals behind the counter so it was perfect because I was back in my car at 7:30 heading home. It just goes to show that you don’t need a big fancy bakery to find quality delicious product at actual affordable prices. I got 10 baked bbq pork buns, 6 steamed bbq pork buns, 5 steamed chicken buns, 2 pork sung buns, all for my family, all for $40. Love it. Can’t wait to go back for myself next week!“

“10 out of 10 the lemon poppy seed cinnamon roll. Man oh man. Chefs kiss. I’m not big on matcha but I saw the owner making a strawberry one and I said I’ll give it a shot. Probably one of the best I’ve had. I also got the cornbread cookie and red velvet cookie. Both very good. I wanted the banana pudding but that would’ve been doing too much. Lol Service was amazing, all the ladies inside were attentive, supportive and sweet. There was a line outside to door. I waited no more than 5-6 min. That included wait time, placing ordering and getting my food. I highly recommend.“

“Chikara Mochi is a childhood favorite store. The mochi is so beautiful! With so much attention to detail it’s hard to eat lol. Moreover, the service is always fantastic when I go there. The way they welcome the customers feels so wonderful in comparison to other long-standing mochi shops (like Fugetsu Do; where sadly, service pales in comparison). Chikara Mochi highly recommended!“

“We walked the Fern Dell trail to the playground and the coffee shop and had a wonderful morning. Easy hike for the whole family mainly inclining but doable. The kids had a great time and the adults enjoyed the iced coffee and treats. Absolutely will do it again“
