“It was my first time coming to Chapresso. I was really impressed that they used tea leafs to make the tea. The tea tasted great! They also had good service. The simple design of the place is inviting but the space is limited. However, they do have open sitting outside the shop.”

“I love this cafe. The chicken salad is so good! My friend always loves the grilled short ribs. This is also our go to spot for fluffy pancakes. The matcha one is perf! The cream is very matcha-y. And the pancakes are perfectly cooked and so soft, fluffy and jiggly. Cannot recommend this spot enough!!!”

“I probably had Pizzanista three times a week during 2018 at their DTLA location and just found this location tucked away in San Marino. It was packed! Their vegan pepperoni was as great as I remember, I love their Jesus meets seitan, and occasionally enjoy their Mac n cheese pizza (it’s waaaaaay too heavy to eat more than one + only available on Sundays). This location had a large merch section that I wish was smaller so more seating would be accommodated inside. Soft serve machine was a bit runny but also not vegan so didn’t have that. Garlic knots are great and looking forward to trying their Sicilian slices they didn’t have when I would go often.

“Great little restaurant nestled in the Huntington gardens. We occasionally bring clients and guests to meet with them in a serene and peaceful environment. When we do that, Jade Cafe offers a great lunch spot.”

Noodle house in the Chinese Gardens, Tea house and patio Cafe in the Rose Garden area. Tea Room now allows you to make reservations on Open Table. Cafe 1919 has a great variety including the Border Grill, Sushi and much more. ... Its all a great compliment to the Fine Art ,gardens ,research and events.... Not a member - The Red Car Cafe and 1919 Cafe are towards the entrance and can be enjoyed by the without entrance fee to the gardens in a great relaxing setting .”

“Need a perfect spot to chill x coffee? Cielo is the place. It's a new and spacious coffee shop in the heart of San Marino. Its Latin inspired menu and perfectly brewed coffee drinks makes it a good addition to the neighborhood. Similarly, they offer wine and beer for customers. And a free wifi.

The UNIT B's former two vendors were also coffee business shops - sadly they didn't last that long. Hopefully with Cielo would last longer. I came early Sunday morning to try their breakfast: chicken pesto sandwich and cafe de olla. Food was good and coffee was perfectly brewed. Prices seem fair. Staff was professional. Service was on point. Street parking and a rear parking lot are available.

“Kitty's Cafe is a Taiwanese style eatery in the north side of the SGV. We stopped by to grab a quick snack. This used to be Copycat Cafe as a heads-up for those wondering.When you come inside, you'll notice a retro look as there are things that still are in transition from Copycat. But that doesn't mean that the food itself was solid. We ordered a set of popcorn chicken for the road and after about 10 minutes, we got our bag full of popcorn chicken goodies. The chicken was delicious - not too crispy and super flavorful. Had a slightly sweet flavor and was nice and hot. The only thing that would've helped would have been some sweet and sour sauce.At least on the weekend, there's plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. The owners are super nice. Know they commented to us that they have been having a tougher time during the pandemic with some lost business around town so they could definitely use the help!”

“I have been coming here for years, it's one of my go to Pho Joints. I think it's above average but not spectacular. Definitely worth a try if you are near Santa Anita Mall area.”

“Red car is a nice little coffee shop that conveniently located at the Huntington library (right by the entrance). They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Except drinks and pastries, I'm glad that they also sell Fosselman's ice cream, sandwiches, yoghurt parfait, fruits and snacks in the store. They opens early at 8am, and drinks and food are allowed to bring into the Huntington library.”

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!”

“My friend and I had an exquisite dining experience at Bar Sawa. Each course was prepared and presented to perfection. The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! The instructions to get to the restaurant were emailed, but I didn't get to read it in time, so it was my fault. ? We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, ambiance and the entire experience. Highly recommend!”

“Food was really delicious and fresh. I ordered the potato and cheese taquitos, sweet potato taco and Baja fish taco. The cucumber radish slaw and habanero onions really elevated the fish taco. To drink I had the passion fruit margarita. Tuesday during happy hour offered great deals. Josh, was very friendly and helpful as a server.”
