“What a peaceful and beautiful place! I went early around 7:30am and got myself a crunch A Latte and Chilaquiles. Both were sOOO good! The barista is a sweetheart! I didn’t feel rushed while I was looking at the Menu since it was my first time (Definitely not last!) that coffee woke me up! I love that they have outdoor seating.“

“Went on a late Saturday morning. The line was all the way to the door but we got to the front of the line faster than expected. Their matcha is alright and comes unsweetened, I cannot recommend for matcha lovers but I did like that they offer free honey packets to sweeten it yourself. Matcha mostly smooth and escaped being green colored milk. For the price it was what I would expect to receive. The caramel macchiato was solid, the amount of coffee was good and it didn't have too much caramel. The vanilla latte was also good. I received all 5 of the drinks I ordered in about 5 minutes. Seating is limited inside the cafe, but there's lots of seating outside.“

“The Freshwater Pavilion is a wonderful addition to the Huntington Chinese Garden. The small tea house sells an assortment of Asian snacks, drinks, teas, boba, and grab-and-go food. Its location offers plenty of outdoor seating next to the garden's beautiful lake, with a view of the Suzhou-style pavilions on either side. It's the perfect place to enjoy the gardens while having a quick sip of Milk Tea.“

“I got the Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea and Osmanthus Jelly as the topping and it was soo good. Slightly less fragrant than Chagee, but they make up for it with the topping. Really good and I'd come back. The manager though could be friendlier.“

“This place and never went in until a couple days ago and I got the rancheros sunny side up. The flavors were really good. I thought it was a little bit too white sauce the tortillas all the flavor was delicious. The staff was exceptionally attentive and I was just taking out. They gave me a lot of attention, which is pretty nice. Don’t see that anymore. We got a cup of coffee, which is really good and took it home far away for breakfastmaybe share with your friends.“

“I had a Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea with no ice and level 1 (of 5) sweetness. I really enjoy freshly brewed milk tea (freshly brewed after order is placed) compared to milk tea prepared with tea that was brewed well in advance, had been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long, and used only after the order is placed. I definitely recommend to try their boba tea.“

“Came out because of an Eater article, stayed for the mochi pastries. Got an espresso cloud, a black sesame mochi cake bar, and a hojicha mochi muffin. Espresso cloud was tasty, black sesame cake had a great flavor, and the consistency of the hojicha muffin was spot on. Came on a Sunday morning so it was a bit packed and hard to hear orders get called out (hence the 4 star atmosphere), but would absolutely come back again.“

They offer hot and iced coffee as well as matcha and a few pastries. The owners are extremely kind people who clearly love what they do and it shows. “Walked into the café 15 minutes to closing time not sure if they would take us in, but they were very kind to us and didn’t rush us and we had excellent service. I really like how you order at the counter many great options on the menu. As a Mexican American, I appreciate well-made Mexican food. I had the enchiladas Oaxaqueña and the taquitos Dorados and both were excellent. They do very well on their presentation as well. Can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Prices are a little on the high end but overall, I think it’s worth it. My only critiques, and they have nothing to do with the food, would be to not make it so cold inside the restaurant and it would be great if the bathroom had a normal sink without the push button kind, ideally one that is sensor operated. These things are totally peripheral and are not influencing my overall view of the café, but if by chance anyone who manages the restaurant is reading this, maybe they can help improve the overall experience.“

“Kumquat Coffee is one of the best specialty coffee spots in LA. The quality is genuinely next level — you can tell they really care about sourcing and how every drink is made.

The space is minimal and aesthetic, but pretty small, so it’s more of a quick stop than somewhere to stay for hours. There’s usually a line, but it moves fast.

Drinks are the highlight — especially their pour-overs and unique lattes. Prices are on the higher side, but it feels justified for the quality.

Downsides: limited seating if you want to sit and work.

Overall, a must-visit if you’re into proper coffee, not just cute cafés. Great coffee!“

“Mas Cafecito has delicious unique coffee flavored drinks. The only thing I was surprised about is that they don't sell regular unsweetened black coffee! How does a coffee place not sell regular black coffee?“

“Tilt Coffee Bar is one of the best parts of living in the area. It is, in my opinion, the best lattes and coffee you can find in DTLA, and somehow they are so underrated. The peanut cloudy latte is one of my favorite lattes I’ve ever had, and it’s what I always order. The peanut pairs SO perfectly with the rich espresso. Their quiches and baked goods are also amazing, but that’s about all I’ve tried.

It’s also very pleasant to order my drink and wait for it in the grassy area in the sun. Overall, especially for such a troubled area so close to Skid Row. This is one of the most pleasant parts of the neighborhood. I hope they never go out of business. They deserve all the best.“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“I think this might be the best matcha spot in little tokyo. I've had their regular oat milk matcha latte and their strawberry matcha latte and both had a rich flabor and a great foamy texture since it's made right in front of you. Atmosphere of the cafe is peaceful and well maintained. Staff is also very kind!“

“Ginger's Corner Market is an absolute gem in Pasadena! Its incredible location, unique charm, stellar customer service and fire menu to match its definitely a must stop when in town!

It doesn't matter what you select you wont be disappointed! Trust me, I've almost had EVERYTHING ON THE MENU!! The wedge is a delight with caramelized bacon to drool for, or the classic Cobb you can never go wrong with. My personal favorite is the ham n brie sandwich which is an incredible palate pleaser with both sweet and savory in one!

I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. “I decided to take a detour and stop by at around 9 am from the A line train since the shop is right next to the station. The service was a tad slow due to the amount of people in the cafe chatting and on their laptops but believe you me, what they serve is the real deal. I ordered a Reserve Matcha Latte with some maple flavoring. It was delicious. I also ordered a pastry that looked like a sweet roll from Skyrim, it was 7 bucks but tasted like it was hand-made and actually had flavor. It had a nutty sweet taste with cinnamon. All in all I paid around 20 bucks for a drink and a pastry ladies and gentlemen but the food really was good. Was it 20 dollars good? You'll have to be the judge of that if you decide to stop by. The interior design is very modern with an industrial feel with wood highlights.“

“Dulce Cielo in Monrovia is something special. This is my wife’s absolute favorite chai...and trust me, that means something. She drinks only chai and has sampled pretty much every chai in Monrovia and beyond. This is 'the one'

I walk a mile round trip every single day just to get it for her. That alone should tell you a lot.

So what makes Dulce Cielo different? Everything. Their chai isn’t some powdered mix scooped from a container and drowned in hot milk. It’s completely handmade by the owners themselves. This is a carefully tested work of art. The flavors are deliberate, balanced, and thoughtful. You can taste the care, time, and intention in every sip.

Beyond the chai, the creativity here is incredible. I’ve tried several of their other drinks and every one has been amazing...especially the horchata and coffee blend, which is next-level good. A friend of ours once mentioned a specific chocolate she loved, and the owners literally went out and sourced it just for her. That’s the kind of place this is.

“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot.The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good,and the cappuccino was solid as well.“

“Came across the cafe on Memorial day weekend when I was in the downtown area. Quaint little spot and is within walking distance to a lot of points of interest like Little Tokyo and the Grand Central Market. Lots of breakfast options but I chose to get the military latte and a egg, cheese, and bacon bagel sandwich. Very tasty and satisfying. Definitely recommend when you are in the area and craving something around morning/noon.“
