“Hiatus= opportunity for another stop in the LAtte tour. Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. The vibe is instantly welcoming, decor is colorfully minimalist, that’s probably not a thing, but it’s the best descriptor I have. The baristas are friendly, skilled and true devotees to all things coffee, even willing to share some potential sites to visit on the next LAtte stop. The coffee itself is excellent, rich, flavorful and no hint of bitterness. I went with oat milk this time and it paired perfectly with the blend, rich creamy, delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit should you find yourself in the area, or even if your not- expand your horizons and make it a destination, it’s worth it.“

“This might have been the best coffee I've had in years and I like a good cup of coffee if you've read any of my other reviews i get very irritated at places that charge a lot of money for bad coffee and this place made the best half calf iced latte that I have ever had plus they bring in French pastry that is really excellent so I thought it was perfect and it's extraordinarily simple bear walls bear concrete floor chairs and tables I mean it is a perfect coffee shop nice music playing the vibe it was retro and I loved it“

“This was the first time my wife and I had been to this coffee shop. I loved the atmosphere, very quiet and chill. The iced latte was spot on. My wife and I shared an avocado toast which was fantastic, never thought to put cucumber on the toast with a strawberry but it paired well. The toast did take 30 minutes to get to us. I had to go to the to the register and ask about it. I was told that the cook never received the order due to there being no paper in their machine. It happens so no biggie. My only advice would be maybe to have offered a free coffee or some compensation for waiting so long. Overall though, this place was fantastic and I would return!“

“A cozy private owned boba shop with a variety of drink options. Tried Haicha High Mountain tea (cold) and Haicha milk tea with boba (cold). Both tea tastes flagrant and sweet even though there was no sugar added! The shop owner is very friendly. He doesn’t push for you to try anything additional. “Whenever I find myself in Pasadena, I make it a point to stop by. As I step through the front door, the aromas are welcoming, the setting comforting, and with it a slew of memories rushes back. I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!“

“I had a tooth that was giving me the worst pain over the weekend. I called on Monday early afternoon and was able to be seen the same day. Crystal the dental assistant was great! She told me Dr. Ramirez would make sure I didn’t feel any pain. I ended up having to have 2 teeth extracted and with no pain at all. I have a new Dental office! Great job ladies 😁“

“Today I came in to try hello you’re welcome and I am so happy that I did. I’m glad this coffee shop popped up on my TikTok fyp. The staff is very friendly. The cashier is very welcoming and attentive. She made you feel like you were a close friend, it’s my bday week and she over heard and put a candle on my strawberry donut which I think is very thoughtful of her. The pastries are scrumptious. The ice vanilla latte was very good they garnish it with cinnamon. Not too bitter not to sweet just right. I will definitely come back. I love the 70s wallpaper, retro look inside. “Ginger's Corner Market is an absolute gem in Pasadena! Its incredible location, unique charm, stellar customer service and fire menu to match its definitely a must stop when in town!

It doesn't matter what you select you wont be disappointed! Trust me, I've almost had EVERYTHING ON THE MENU!! The wedge is a delight with caramelized bacon to drool for, or the classic Cobb you can never go wrong with. My personal favorite is the ham n brie sandwich which is an incredible palate pleaser with both sweet and savory in one!

“If you're in LA or the SGV and you haven't tried this coffee shop, you're definitely missing out.

I did try a few of their drinks but one in particular stood out. Starting with the bayberry jasmine, this is perfect for if you do not have a sweet tooth, and the bayberry adds a refreshing tart taste.

And this was the first place I've seen do a pear matcha combo, and after trying it, it really works. Definitely recommend if you haven't tried it before.

But my favorite has to be the Kyoho grape lemon tea. It's made with those big juicy Asian grapes, and it's SO delicious. This drink is genuinely a 10/10.

“Yi’s Cafe is hands down the most competitive for the value you’re getting. The coffee is great, and their sandwiches are honestly the best value for your buck — better quality than anywhere else nearby at a price that’s hard to beat. Every time I order, the owner throws in a free muffin or two, no charge. Small touch, big difference. Highly recommend.

“This was my first time at Yia Caffe, and I’ll definitely be returning. I tried the horchata latte (light sweetness) and it was just right for my liking, along with a tamal de mole.

The outdoor patio has lots of shade and seating, even though it looks small from the outside.

P.S. It doesn’t have a parking lot but I was able to find street parking easily.“

“This is my second time coming here and it’s sooo good! I tried the Jang-jorim this time and it was so delicious, I adore the kimchi so much the cucumbers have perfect crunch! I appreciate the vegetables so much they are perfectly seasoned and compliment the dish so well. I also got the korean fried chicken again its still amazing the best I’ve ever had 10/10. I also had the ricotta toast with the fruit jam it was so perfect and not too sweet!“

“It's not the best banh mi around, but certainly the best price/quality ratio in Alhambra. The line can be long and you can order ahead (phone), but if you just drop by around noon. Expect a bit of a wait. The owner speaks English, Vietnamese and Cantonese, so walk in with no fear. Coffee is excellent here too.“

“I first discovered Erva Yerba Mate at music festivals and food truck events around Los Angeles, and I was immediately hooked. Their yerba mate drinks are incredibly refreshing—fruity, ice-cold, and genuinely satisfying. What really stood out to me was how I felt afterward: a clean, feel-good energy from the caffeine with no jitters or crash. It’s honestly better tasting and more balanced than coffee - which I'm not a regular drinker of.

I was so impressed that I started going directly to the store to fill my growler and ended up buying bottled yerba mate for myself and friends. Every time I go in, the staff is warm, friendly, and happy to chat. I usually ask whoever’s working to make me their favorite blend, and it’s always fantastic. Consistently cold, crisp, and refreshing. That's why I've enjoyed trying so many flavors!

A friend of mine said he ended up buying a growler from them at the Atwater farmers market on Sundays. He's also hooked!

Parking is easy, which is rare in LA, and I love that it’s right around the corner from the ReStore—perfect excuse to hunt for good deals after grabbing a drink. The owners, Tiffany and Juan, are genuinely kind, welcoming people, and it shows in how the place is run.

I've brought bottles to parties and events for people who don't want an adult beverage and people were SO APPRECIATIVE!

I really hope they expand their food options soon—I love the empanadas and the sauces and would happily eat more there. This place is a gem and a regular stop for me now.
