Hiatus= opportunity for another stop in the LAtte tour. Today’s pilgrimage finds me in Sierra Madre at Syndicate, a fantastic find nestled comfortably downtown on Sierra Madre Blvd. Plenty of street parking and a beautiful place to take a stroll if you don’t score a spot immediately out front. This is everything you want from a coffee shop. The coffee and tea drinks are varied and well crafted, the baristas are super knowledgeable, and they all taste good. The menu here shines as the hot food is amazing. They serve the best tuna sandwich in SGV in my opinion and their burritos are really good. The pastries are all fantastic.
I love this place! The Matcha Morning Bun was maybe the best pastry I have ever had. Perfect!

Based on the reviews, Syndicate is a favorite spot for coffee and pastries. The pastries are delicious and made from scratch, with seasonal flavors that are amazing in flavor, texture, and presentation. The coffee is delicious too, with options like a great mocha and a unique “mood ring” choice. The staff is always friendly, cool yet unpretentious, and very helpful. The customer service is welcoming and warm. The location offers a mountain view and is near a vintage store. There is not too much seating, and it gets packed. The place is not super quiet, with some noise, but people study or read there. They have lunch items besides beverages and bakeries. However, the pork chile verde burrito was very salty. Overall, it is easily the best coffee bakery combo in the LA area, with good tunes and a happy vibration.
