“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!“

“Came here for dinner and left feeling like I'd just eaten at home. The Aloo Tikki was crispy and perfectly spiced, the Chana Chalupa was a fun twist, and the Noormahal Lasagna was something I haven't seen anywhere else. The Veggie Fun came out at exactly the spice level I asked for, and they were happy to swap in garlic naan. Everything was well cooked and the flavors felt genuinely authentic, which is hard to find in LA.
The service really stood out too. The staff was warm, attentive and super sweet the whole night. You can tell they care about their guests. Highly recommend Roots Indian Bistro, and I'll definitely be back.“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“Ordered the off-menu Pomodoro pasta and it did not disappoint. The tomato and petit basil sauce was bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“Great local experience when visiting a friend who lives around the corner. Expecting to come back every visit as an easy walk. But, sadly, after our server left for the night from the dining area we moved to the bar area service was sporadic. We are of the more mature clientele and sadly weren't treated the same as the younger sect which 100% should not at all be a thing in any community, but especially this area. You never know who you are offending. Sadly we felt disregarded at the bar from all servers other than the female bartender (didn't get her name) and Ty, other than that the interactions for water and additional cocktails was just subpar and unfortunate, we left "only" because of the disrespect. OTHERWISE, great drinks, great food, great vibe and ambiance!“

Her and her attitude is the only reason I would hesitate to return - oh, and the fact I was handed a dirty coffee cup, looked like it hadn’t been checked after removal from the dishwashing machine. “Sushi Gen is simply the best sushi spot I’ve found in California and honestly, the only place in the U.S. that has ever reminded me of the sushi I’ve had in Japan.

I discovered this place a few years ago, and I still remember how happy I was after my first visit. I had been looking for that same freshness and quality I loved so much in Japan, and Sushi Gen was the first place where I genuinely felt like I found it.

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“Came at a surprisingly slow night on Friday evening to try the signature Zhengyalov hatz and the lahmajun. Both are good and feel light and healthy. They are like pizza and calzone options without all the fat and grease. If you are a fan of herbaceous flavors, you would love the zhengyalov hatz.

Only complaint is that when we came on a hot night, the place did not have A/C, or it wasn't on.“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“
