“We were a oarty of approximately 18 including 4 kids. Our server Chris was Magnificent and patient with. Got our orders down exactly as we requested, on the first try. Good job! We also ordered various desserts all of which were DELICIOUS so sorry i don't have photos to show but please know EVERY giid item ordered was right on point
Wife had the Eggplant Parmigianna and a slice of tres leches cake, my Grilled Chicken Margherite and Chocolate Lasagna were absolutely mouth-watering. I th8nk the birthday girl had the shrimp Alfredo. Others had the Calabrian Steak and Shrimp Bucatini, the Grilled Salmon minestrone, Ravioli Carnonara, Seafood Alfredo, Chicken and Gnocchi. Kids had their pizza (of course) other desserts included were Sicilian Cheesecakes,Black-Tie mousse Cake and Italian Doughnuts
All in all spectacular dishes.

I've been enjoying their food for years from a their location off of 54th Street and Central where they sell Excellent Tendon Tacos. Now, they have this Brick and Mortar location.

“Tried Vege Valley Restaurant recently and honestly it was a good surprise. I’m not even strictly vegetarian but the food was really flavorful and fresh. Ordered noodles and a veggie dish both were well cooked and not too oily, which I liked.
The place is simple perfect for a relaxed meal. Service was quick and staff were polite. Pricing also feels reasonable for the portion size.
Only small issue was parking, took a bit of time to find a spot. But overall definitely worth visiting if you want healthy and tasty veg food.“

“Broth was delicious. The deep umami and subtlety of clam notes made the ramen stock special. Adding the sides they offer like, garlic crisps, were a plus. However, in my opinion, I felt like the ramen noodles did not give the dish its 100%. My partner said it was good overall and I am just slightly nitpicking due to personal preferences of noodles, which were too dense to my liking. I felt like the noodles took away the broth’s complexity rather than a nice balance. At the end I just kept drinking the soup. The chashu pork was tender and not dry at all.

Aside from the ramen, the appetizers such as the karaage, were crunchy and slightly juicy on the inside. The takoyaki was also nice as well.

Overall, the vibe of the restaurant felt cozy and modern, yet I wish they could have played some music to add a little more atmosphere. Service was prompt and quick.“

“I’m back at this xiao long bao spot in Baldwin Park again! The restaurant has that super down-to-earth, old-school Chinese restaurant feel that instantly feels familiar. The main point is — they’ve been making xiao long bao in LA for years, and everything is still handmade by the aunties, not pre-made. If you want a giant crab roe soup dumpling, this is the place I think of!

The giant crab roe soup dumpling comes out steaming hot and is seriously huge — it almost fills the whole steamer 🤣. I like to slowly sip the soup through a straw first, then open it up and eat the rest. The crab roe flavor is rich and fragrant, and it’s so satisfying while it’s still hot. Even editing the video made me crave it again!

We also ordered crab roe xiao long bao and sweet-style pork xiao long bao. The wrappers are thin and there’s plenty of soup inside. The slightly sweet pork filling feels very Jiangnan-style, and I personally really like that little touch of sweetness.

The Wuxi-style pork ribs looked so appetizing too — tender meat with a sweet, savory sauce that goes perfectly with rice. The Liangxi crispy eel was another specialty I really liked. It’s crispy, fragrant, and super snackable — not something you see at every restaurant.

For something warm and comforting, we also had a bowl of five-spice beef rice noodles, with your choice of spicy or non-spicy, plus a plate of garlic pea shoots to round out the meal.

I also noticed they have these cute little training chopsticks 🥢, which are perfect for kids or anyone who’s still learning how to use chopsticks. Such a thoughtful touch haha.

“Mhat Korean Restaurant may be a small spot, but it delivers authentic Korean flavors and a really satisfying meal.

We ordered the Dak Galbi (Stir-fried Spicy Chicken) with a side of mozzarella cheese, along with an order of fried dumplings. The dak galbi was packed with flavor, and we appreciated being able to adjust the spice level to something a little milder. Adding the mozzarella was definitely the right call, it melted into the spicy chicken, making the dish even richer and creamier while balancing the heat beautifully. The fried dumplings were crispy, flavorful, and made a great side.

The best part of the meal was saving room for the fried rice at the end. They cooked it right in the leftover dak galbi sauce, soaking up all of the rich, spicy flavors. It’s definitely the way to finish the meal and something I highly recommend ordering.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but the food is authentic, the portions are satisfying, and everything came together for a great dining experience. If you’re craving dak galbi, this place is well worth checking out.“

“Han Yang is good. It’s also wonderfully old school. Nothing about the place feels particularly interested in being redesigned for Instagram, which I appreciate. You come here for Korean comfort food, metal dishes of banchan, enormous bowls of soup and stone pots hot enough to continue cooking your dinner while you eat it. And that stone pot is where I’d start.

The gondre dolsot bibimbap was fantastic. Gondre is Korean thistle and here it gets worked through the rice with the egg, seaweed and everything else until the whole thing becomes earthy, savory and deeply satisfying. But the best part comes underneath. Leave it alone long enough and the rice against the stone develops that beautiful scorched crust, nurungji, which you eventually scrape loose and mix back through everything.

That combination of the greens, sesame, egg and crispy rice is ridiculously good. There are dishes you finish because you’re hungry and dishes where you keep digging around the bottom of the bowl because you’re convinced there must be another good piece hiding somewhere. This was the latter.

The galbitang was more complicated for me. The beef itself was excellent. Generous pieces, tender, falling easily from the bone and soft enough that our kids loved it. Plenty of green onion, too. My issue was the broth. I prefer galbitang on the restrained side so I can decide where it goes from there. Same reason I like seolleongtang arriving almost defiantly plain, give me the broth and let me dress it up myself with salt, saeujeot or whatever else I want.

Han Yang has already made those decisions for you. The galbitang broth was noticeably sweet and salty and eventually it became a little much for me. That’s preference as much as criticism, plenty of people will probably love it exactly as it arrives. I just wanted the volume turned down.

The banchan was similarly mixed but mostly good. The napa kimchi was solid and nicely balanced. The kkakdugi was particularly good. The mustard greens, however, were ferociously sour. I like fermented food. These had me physically wincing.

The dipping sauce for the galbi was excellent, though and I kept going back to it. Rice was average and a little dry. It did its job.

Service was good and the whole experience was easy. The room itself has some age on it, tables are fairly close together and depending on where you’re seated you may find yourself with a commanding view of the bathroom door. Nobody has ever requested the chef’s table at the restroom, but here we are.

Somehow I don’t particularly mind any of it. Han Yang feels like a restaurant that knows what it is. It isn’t polished into anonymity. People are here eating giant bowls of soup, mixing rice in scorching stone pots and getting on with their lives. And when a restaurant can put something as good as that gondre bibimbap in front of me, I can forgive a dry bowl of rice and a bathroom with excellent sightlines.

Absolutely coming back. And next time, I’m getting that bibimbap again.“

Throughout the years many pho places give very little and tiny portions, but Tasty Pho reminds me of the good size pho bowls one used to get back in the day. Their prices are also very reasonable. Their stuff attentive to your needs.

The broken rice is very complete with the egg quiche, shrimp paste and radish carrot salad for a very good price. No need to go to Little Saigon anymore to eat great Vietnamese food“

Definitely one of the best Vietnamese home cooked meals at a restaurant in the area. The flavour is so authentic that can transport you back to the Southern of Vietnam (mien Tay) in a bite. I recommend you use your navigation to find it because you'll drive right by it because it's in a small strip mall. Off the corner of Jersey and rosecrans. The restaurant is on the small side and I'm sure they get crowded with the dinner rush. I went for the lunch special served Monday to Saturday from 11am to 3 pm. I chose the Kung Pao Chicken, that comes with the daily soup,egg roll,fried rice and a fortune cookie which is alot for $11.95. They chop up their red pepper into pieces, so it has a kick ! The portions were large enough to make two meals which is a plus. Definitely will be back to try other options on the menu. Especially the hot soups which look amazing. The food is good, love the honey sesame chicken, the prices are fairly low compared to any food location around the area. They're very generous with the amount of protein they give too. First visit was General Tso’s (my favorite), 2nd visit was Chicken Chow mein, today is Spicy Orange Chicken (move over General Tso’s, you’ve been replaced!). The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food is really good. When their menu says “spicy”, they mean a nice little kick and not a flamethrower!! I always order to go, 10 minutes and I am out the door. Portions are big (mine always makes 2 meals). I found my new favorite place 😁“

“My best friend is Thai and he recommended me this place way back. This has been my favorite restaurant for almost 2 decades. The service is always great and welcoming. Food is always fantastic. Even back then, they served up several authentic dishes that you don't normally see in in typical Thai restaurants, like hoi tod or yum pla duk foo. Here are some of my recommendations:
Beef jerky - a must. It's unlike beef jerky anywhere else. It's tender, light crisp, and super flavorful. I order this every single time
Essan grilled sausage - very well balanced season, doesn't feel too fatty
Yum pla duk foo - fried minced fish on a bed of cabbage and cashew, served with a spicy tangy green apple salad
Tom kha soup - flavorful, sweet and tangy to balance out the creamy coconut milk.
Curry fried cat fish - more on the spicy side but the flavors are so satisfying. However, if you don't like bones, maybe ask if they can substitute for a different kind of fish
Rad na, or pad kee mao or pad see ew - very comforting

“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“
