“The cheddar broccoli soup from here is delicious! I get it as a side when I get a sandwich and it goes well together, perfect meal. Not too much, but not too small just the right amount! Every sandwich I tried was the excellent, but I love the Buffalo chicken one! Try their soup you'll thank me later!“
“I have tried a variety of items on the menu. A few of my favorites include the Al pastor nachos , caldo de pollo, torta de milanesa and the chicken tacos de canasta. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose. Irene and Jose are both really nice and will accommodate most requests.“
“First time coming here, we ordered the kimchi fried rice, beef galbi plate, and grilled shrimp plate - it was all soo delicious! Probably the best kimchi fried rice I've ever had, and it had an overeasy egg! I got it to go but it was quick and made fresh. Will definitely be back!“
“Wow!!!! Hands down my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Their beef pho is delicious? and out of this world. I’ve been a big fan of pho ? and have been eating this dish for years just about everywhere I travel to when I’m out of state or in the mood for it here in the city. This is my new favorite spot for pho. Wish I can give them 10 stars because they deserve it.“
“The food and service at the new location are just as wonderful as the original location. I look forward to more of my favorite dishes coming over. For now, I am enjoying trying new dishes and the lunch specials are a great deal. The team members are extremely friendly/inviting, and I always enjoy their recommendations.“
“Taste :4.4/5Environment: 4.2/5Service:4.3/5It's a mecca for Korean food lovers located in Buena Park. To start with, brace yourselves because this spot doesn't take reservations, which means you might need to wait for about 40-60 minutes.Highly RecommendTheir Braised Beef Short Ribs is perfection on a plate. These short ribs are tender, succulent and boasts a superb flavor profile.Parking: Free park lots“
“This is our second time here and the food was just as good as the first time we went there. It’s my husband’s favorite spot for beef noodle soup. The pan fried buns were crispy on the bottom and soupy on the inside (perfection). Try the honey green tea! It big enough to share between two people. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious Taiwanese food! They also have a nice parking lot (unlike most places in LA).“
“I have mixed feelings about this place. While it has been my go to spot on rainy days this past season, it's been a hit or miss. Sometimes it's like the best pho ever and other times the meat is really undercooked and the broth wasn't hot enough to cook it further which resulted in a rather rubbery experience. All in all, I think I will continue to come back as everything else was enjoyable.“
“My friend came from Tijuana to visit me ??♂️ and we found this amazing place?? NEW LOCATION, the food is amazing, VEGETERIAN NO PROBLEM i was really happy with the food, service is very friendly and they speak spanish tooI highly recomend this place?IOVE IT“
“It was my first time coming here and let me tell you it's amazing. The portions are good and the service and atmosphere is super friendly. Such nice people helping you out. I would definitely be coming back here again. Their thai tea is a must to get!“
“Been here a few times and honestly, for the price, it's a great place to go to when you're craving pho. We usually get the beef steak for $8.89 or the chicken bowl for $7.87, which is honestly a steal in this economy! Bowl upgrades are only $3 more, which I say is totally worth it. The pho tastes so clean and with a deep flavor. Personally, I think the pho is very worth it for it's price; I can't get enough of it. In addition, the service is phenomenal. The guy in the front is always so welcoming and talkative when we come visit - we really enjoy it. Definitely visit this hidden gem when you're in the Cypress area - you won't regret it (:“
“What can I say about this but it's an absolute hidden gem if you are ever around the area you should do yourself a favor and try "the handmade noodle spicy beef stew" it's the best I have ever had !This amazing place is CASH ONLY!! ? it's so worth the money .Parking: It's Snug“
“This is THE place to get popcorn chicken in the 626! I've been coming to P P Pop for awhile now and I have yet to have anything I didn't like. The popcorn chicken serving here is huge, and the chicken is really moist and flavorful. I get mild spice and it's pretty spicy imo! The beef noodle soup is also a favorite of mine. I love the chewiness of the noodles and the beef chunks always fall apart. The drinks are served in huuuge cups so that's also very worth the price. Service is always great and they're very comfortable speaking English.“
“The food is 10/10 but the crew is what really makes this place one of my favorite spots to go to. These are some of the kindest most hard working people I’ve met. It’s a great opportunity not only to enjoy incredible food but also support these great humans.“
“Nice local Vietnamese restaurant that I've come to a few times. Staff is a friendly and the food was quite delicious! I had some beef spring rolls and a vermicelli dish with meatballs. Both were very good and I had to bring one of the spring rolls home as it was a lot of food. Would recommend trying it out if you're craving some Vietnamese cuisine.“
“Treated so great, Great customer service, prices are great everything honestly hit perfect. We where just stopping off the freeway in a trip and this place was a Gem. Highly recommend we might come out just to try it again.Guy behind the counter really cares about setting a great environment. And super quick too!“
“Always such a great meal here. Duck soup is hard to come by and this place always delivers. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. My family goes here at least once a week! Highly recommended. Their portion is big and price is good too!“
“Came here after a long road trip with a big group and had an amazing experience! Great menu selection, and server helped recommend what to order, what dishes, vegetables, meats, noodles etc. Food came out quickly, they gave us a little cart for everything. They frequently came to clear empty dishes and help if we needed to order more. I highly recommend the scallion crispy pancake! The sauces are great, even better when mixed. The soup tasted great and we took some home too :) Highly recommend this place.“
“The beef chow fun is literally, no exaggeration, the best plate of noodles I've ever had in my life. Not only the kind of flavorful that goes through your whole body, but the beef was tender as butter. The hot and sour soup was also exemplary. I'm kind of a man of habit and it takes a lot to add a restaurant to my regular favorites rotation; Fu Plus jumped to the top of the list and it's likely to stay there. Holy cow.“
“Amazing customer service! I made a mistake with my ordering. Totally my fault. But Eric and his manager was so understanding and accommodating. Even at a lost of revenue to them, they were willing and able to fix my problem. Thank you so much! I will be sure to visit if I'm ever in the area!“
“I am never disappointed when I order food from Appu's Cafe. I have tried almost everything on the menu and found it to be delicious, a good value for the price, and always ready on-time when I order online. The staff is kind and pleasant and very accomodating (sometimes I need to ask for the spice level to go down a few levels!). Excellent value all the way around!“
“We frequent this place often. My favorite is The Spicy Beef clear noodle vegetable soup (Yuk Kae Jung) is very god here. Bibimbab is another very good dish. Their food all around is pretty good. Small mom and pop kind of place. Sometime we dine in and other times we order to go. Always good food and never had any issues of the years.“
“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“
“Everything here was AMAZING. The price, the speed, the food- I can't believe this place exists. I came here with a big group (9 of us) and they accommodated us and served us fast. I don't even think we waited more than 30 minutes for everyone to get their food. I got the pho small bowl with rare steak and the broth was light and filling. The rare steak practically melted in your mouth. Only 12 bucks for the pho itself! Each table comes with napkins, soup spoons, sauce bowls, and sauces to help yourselves to. I hope to come back and it was very memorable, thank you!“
“great food. we ordered phở for a cool late morning & sat outside so it was perfect. this is northern vnese style phở (which is just a little salty for my taste) but I appreciate the clear & not overly spiced broth. it's a straight forward & authentically honest bowl of phở. there are fresh spices, good quality beef & super tender meat fall-of-the-bone pork ribs. so good & so satisfying. vnse coffee (café sữa đá) is also right on the money! btw, for those who need it, you can load the soup up with siracchia & have a perfect hangover-buster ? you're welcome ? service is prompt & friendly - price is decent but not cheap. all in all, a winner for local norwalk & neighboring city. we'll definitely be back & highly recommend pho anvi. we need to keep good businesses around for fellow foodies.“
“A soft tofu restaurant located in the Buena Park area of Los Angeles. In LA, it is a Korean restaurant as famous as 'BCD Bukchang-dong Soft Tofu' and is a restaurant where you have to wait. There is a jangseung standing right at the entrance, giving a Korean feel. The interior is spacious, and as expected from a specialty restaurant, there are 14 different types of soft tofu. In addition, you can taste a wide variety of Korean food, including pot rice, bulgogi, ribs, galbitang, kimchi stew, naengmyeon, pork cutlet, and bossam. The food tastes the same as eating it in Korea and is very delicious. There are a variety of side dishes and they are all delicious. In the case of soft tofu, there are as many as seven levels of spiciness, so you can choose to suit your taste. Since the rice is served in a stone pot, it is nice to be able to cook rice by pouring water into the stone pot after taking out the rice. This is a restaurant I want to visit again.“
“A very good place if you want to try out Henan food, reasonably priced, not many choices, check the food before you go. But I bet most of the customers are the same people who go there often. Like it.Look at the code dish, Enough for a big “
“My friend and I stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. It wasn't busy and service was super fast. All the ladies working there were really friendly and sweet. The food was amazing - we had an eggplant dish, a bitter melon dish and the fried oyster mushrooms. They do lunch specials even on weekends and it's a great deal - huge portions and we both ate so much that we skipped dinner. If I lived close by I'd definitely be a regular!“
“Great spot for Korean casual / comfort food! For a party of 7, we were left feeling satisfied with the amount of food we ordered. Very affordable and amazing service! We got seated instantly as it wasn't busy on a Saturday night. What we ordered: - 2 steamed pork belly set (bossam) - 1 seafood pancake - sides of rice to carb up - 1 terra & 2 jinro is back to drink! The highlight of our meal was actually the sides. The kimchi and radish kimchi were so good that we asked for multiple refills. We also enjoyed the seafood pancake. Would love to come back and try the soup (tang) as the restaurant name speaks for itself!!“
“Small restaurant/ cafe that specializes in noodles and dumplings. And more specifically, shanxi knife-cut noodles. The place feels family owned and operated and this was reflected in the friendly, warm service. I came in on a cold evening, looking for some warm soup. So I ordered the beef noodle soup. I ended choosing the thinner, hand stretched noodles (as apposed to the thicker knife cut variety), because it seemed like it would go better in the soup. The noodles were very well done and chewy. Great texture to go along with the comforting spicy broth. I also ordered fish and leek dumplings. Great flavor and structure. I took most to go because the two dishes I ordered was a lot of food. I enjoyed the vibe here. While I was eating, there were two ladies preparing dumplings off to the side. It reminded me of my mom and aunt when I visit my parents. So there was a nostalgic factor. Like a lot of other restaurants in the area that I really enjoy, this place feels like a great value for delicious noodles and dumplings because of their great selection and very reasonable prices.“
“I like this shop very much. The beef texture is sufficient (I ordered half gluten and half meat), the noodles are chewy (I ordered thick noodles), the soup is thick (but a bit too salty), and the side dishes are delicious and reasonably priced!Paired with Hantian Lemon Aiyu, it’s another wonderful meal! There is too much clutter in the store environment, which makes it feel a bit oppressive.“
“Not AYCE but lots of side dishes including cheese corn, poached eggs, another egg dish, bean paste soup or kimchi stew. Very good and attentive service and excellent staff. The unmarinated beef was the best. The chadol was a little tough. But the rice paper, pickled radish, dipping sauce, and salad made the meal delicious.“
“Taken a few friends here as they heard of this place being so good. I've been here before on a dumpling crawl. The pies here are filled with meat packed with flavor and juices. You'll have to vent the pie before biting into it or risk squirting your neighbor when the juices escape the pie.“
“A small local business offering Taiwanese food. The interior is older and aged. The parking directly in front can be a problem but there is more parking offered further down into the shopping center. The staff is nice and friendly. We’ve been going here for years and I feel like perhaps they have a new chef because all the flavors seemed off in some way.The menu has a lot to offer so you are sure to find something you like.“
“Located on second level of Lincoln Hotel, free garage parking. Quiet, romantic, great for a date spot or intimate place to grab a drink. No crowds, full extensive menu. Drinks are on the expensive side for the pour, but a full bar. Outside seating has heat lamps. Great place to have a cozy chat, owner is friendly.“
“This is where we go for special occasions when we want solid Korean food, particularly savory soups. But that is not to say the other stuff on the menu is not worth trying. Some of the dishes deserve special recognition, because they are not typical (in my experience) or because they are exceptional. Not typical could include the Yeolmu Boribap, which is daikon radish greens mixed with barley rice and other ingredients. Very tasty and filling, even if I can't recall having it elsewhere. We really like it. Seasonal? Maybe. Exceptional could include the Doenjang soup/chigae, which we all agree is maybe the best we have tried in years. It is a treat. Many regard this dish, served elsewhere, as a pedestrian food, ordinary and a staple, but here it is elevated. The Chunggukjang is a more rustic version of the Doenjang soup/chigae, and it is very delicious. For the uninitiated, this is a stew made from something like (Japanese) natto, and it isn't great for a hot day, but rather, awesome for cold weather dining. Delicious, not for the delicate. In sum, this is a mom-and-pop style place, not some corporate chain, exactly the kind of place we like to support. People in the area who seek good homestyle Korean food will know this place and appreciate what they do here.“
“Been wanting to try this place out. I got a to-go order and ordered the combo number 1, spring rolls and Thai tea. The soup is really good! I love the broth and it's probably one of the best I've ever tasted so far. The spring rolls were good. I wasn't a huge fan of the peanut sauce, but it wasn't terrible. And the Thai tea tasted pretty good! It was a little pricey, more than i had hoped to spend, but mostly worth it when im dying from a cold and want pho lol. I'd recommend this place to people wanting pho and I'd definitely come again. When ordering, the guy on the phone was very nice and when paying as well. All in all, I had a great experience.“
“Okay... like someone else wrote, I wasn't expecting much, especially since I was the only one there when I arrived, but damn the 짜장면 (jjajangmyeon aka black bean noodles) slaps!! I've been searching all over Ktown for a good one, but I found most of them too sweet and greasy and lacking flavor depth... but this one is damn good. It has a great balance of salty, ever so lightly sweet, and umami without being so greasy that you see a layer of oil like some other spots!! Also loved the thicker consistency. (I hate when restaurants make it watery!) I added shrimp for some protein and it was cooked to perfection as well as the steamed veggies. The portion was crazy huge for a lunch set so definitely shareable with 3 people if you get something else. Otherwise it is shareable by 2. I wish it wasn't so close to because my waistline will be in serious trouble... The only reason it wasn't a 5 for me because the pork was non-existent. I found 1 piece. Lol. Wish there were more pork bits in the sauce, but it was so tasty and the service was great so I'm still happy! I'm genuinely happy kiddo right now.“
“Parking: easy (parking lot) Wait time: No wait (once during 2PM, another time for 8:30PM dinner) Food ordered: 1. Beef and seafood tofu soup 2. BBQ short ribs, tofu soup combo Best tofu soup in SGV comparing to A Ri Rang and Young Dong. Everything was perfectly seasoned especially their side dishes. Although I've had better kimchi (yukdaejang's), I enjoyed their seaweed salad most. Like many Korean restaurants, they refilled all side dishes. I very much wanted to try new dishes here, but what I've ordered previously were so good I couldn't help but order the same thing my second time. Lunch combo did not come with a salted croaker like dinner combo. 10/10 would recommend and come back. My Recommendation to the restaurant: 1. Offer rice cakes in tofu soup (add-ons?) 2. Make a bibimbab+tofu soup combo“
“A good friend and I decided to have dinner here. I have to tell you, since the pandemic, I have slowly been going back to old favorites, and this is one of them. I really looked forward to trying this place again. Would it be the same? Would it be better, or worse? Well I have to say that they did not disappoint. I don't know if I missed coming here or if they just got that much better, but it was good!We definitely got there just in time because once we were seated, the place started getting very busy. The service was great in spite of how busy it got. George was our server and he was very helpful and accomidateing. Needless to say that what we ordered was outstanding.I definitely forgot how much I enjoyed this place. No question on whether or not I'm coming back because that's a big yes.Parking: Plenty of parking. No problem finding a spot.“
“We've been going her since the 80's. Best Chinese food in town. Going to miss the place when they close all the business in that center for some new construction. I hope they re-open somewhere else. We love all the staff, food & simple ambiance ?“
“Food is not bad. Nice people. I honestly didn't know what I was ordering, but it worked out.Parking: Parking here is really a mess. There's 2 cars in the back corner, and I think they're the workers and owner's. Because otherwise, they're blocked in. If you have a truck or SUV, I suggest you park on the street. It's really tight in the tiny lot.“
“Takes a little effort to get to know the server to get good service. Maybe it was because we ordered everything for 4 people. The pho tai and dac biet were not pictured but the rest was good. Best was the jackfruit salad. I asked for the fermented shrimp sauce and she was kind enough to give me some.“
“So we stumbled upon this place and it was amazing. The basil chicken 10/10 and the green curry. Was. To. Die. For. I highly recommend you to try this place. The staff was very friendly. We are Thai food enthusiasts and they did not disappoint. We live in Vegas and were out there to see friends. What a good experience. We will be back.Vegetarian options: They can make just about any noodle dish veggie or curry.Parking: You park there close to the doorKid-friendliness: Ya sure bring your kids why not ?“
“The best birria in all of Los Angeles! Made with love and goat as it should be done.My family has been visiting this establishment since '89, they met the previous owner and now I believe that the nephew is the one who maintains the perfect recipe for Baldomero birria.Find your table, pick up your drink and enjoy! The best broth for any occasion. The only annoying thing is that only cash is accepted. The best birria in LA hands down! Made in the heart of LA (the real LA) and with goat not beef.Find your table, pick a drink & enjoy!Best soup for any occasion!Only downside is that it is cash only.“
“Another place I go to regularly and somehow never reviewed. This little place is the definition of a hole in the wall with fantastic home-made tasting food. The kimchi stew tastes as good as the ones my friends' moms make. They always use very ripe kimchi. Their dumpling soup is also very good with broth that actually has flavor. Their meats are all well marinated and the stone pot bi bim bap is awesome! They also give you tons of side dishes. Their prices are also much lower than most of the places nearby. The Aunties don't speak a lot of English but they're always so kind. Love this place. **Tip: if you prefer white rice make sure to ask or they'll automatically give you the rice with stuff like beans.“
“Vegetarian options: You can request that each Ramen broth be made vegetarian.Parking: When eating typically will get a ticket for 1 free hour of parking from restaurant. Free valet parking is available if garage is full.Kid-friendliness: Has childrens Ramen options.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevators available, and restaurant has wheelchair friendly tables.“
“Love this place. Delicious Korean BBQ and all you can eat banchan, or side dishes. It is a great place for a Combo lunch or dinner. You choose a meat/entree and a type of tofu soup which is delicious! I ordered the Spicy Chicken and Beef Galbi. I also chose the Seafood Tofu soup, Spicy. They ask if you want mild, medium, spicy, etc. Spicy was perfect, not too spicy at all.“
“CASH ONLY. As of now, this is the closest place to get Thai Boat noodles from where I stay. Normally, my husband and I would prefer to go to LB Thai, but when we don't want to make that drive, we go here. The broth for the Thai Boat is always thick, rich, and full of flavor. I wasn't a big fan of their Hainan Chicken, which they only serve on certain days, but their Rad Na was pretty good. Super saucy with their gravy, but flavorful, nonethless. The pricing is pretty steep here for the serving size that you get. I felt like my plate of Rad Na didn't have too many noodles as I'd normally get elsewhere, but it felt like more veggies instead. I didn't really feel full after my meal, but it was fine. I wasn't trying to feel super stuffed either, I guess. But this is the place you want to go in the north for Thai Boat cravings. Free parking in plaza.“
“Good foodThe chicken alfredo and chicken gnocchi soup is so good. The salad is delish but if you ask for more it will cost you $7.But still the same and still delish04/2024I ordered the same chicken alfredo and same chicken gnocchi soup... it's ok.“
