“I haven’t been to Olive Garden in a long time because my past experiences honestly weren’t the best, but Kevin completely changed that! He was super friendly, attentive, and really helpful when answering my questions about the menu. Everything came out fast, and he made the whole experience feel welcoming and enjoyable. “We’ve been here four times now, which is probably the best compliment I can give. When Mo Ran Gak is at its best, it’s one of my favorite Korean restaurants in Southern California. When it’s off, the inconsistency keeps it from being a five star experience.

The first visit was outstanding. The galbi was perfectly seasoned, not overly sweet, not overly salty, with great caramelization and tenderness. The naengmyeon was exactly what you hope for. Icy cold with crunchy ice still floating in the broth, crisp vegetables and incredibly refreshing.

The second visit was a completely different experience. The galbi was noticeably drier and under seasoned and the naengmyeon arrived only slightly cold. The ice had already melted, which takes away one of the best parts of great naengmyeon. The slices of beef that come with the noodles have also been consistently dry. That may be traditional, but it’s never been the highlight of the dish.

The service is probably the weakest part of the restaurant. Nobody has ever been outright rude, but it’s difficult to get someone’s attention and the staff generally feels indifferent. You can tell they’re busy, but hospitality often feels like an afterthought. I’d probably rate the service around a 3 out of 5.

The restaurant itself is older but clean, with a comfortable atmosphere and moderate noise. Parking can be frustrating and there’s usually a wait, but that’s expected for a popular spot.

One thing I really enjoy is the complimentary crispy pancake they bring out. Honestly, I’d happily eat an entire plate of it. The banchan are solid overall, though fairly average.

Despite the inconsistency, I still think this is some of the best naengmyeon and especially bibim naengmyeon you’ll find in the Los Angeles area. That’s why we keep coming back. I just hope they can deliver the same level of quality every visit because when they do, it’s genuinely excellent.“

“Pho here is great with good beef selection. Little more pricy vit you'll get good cut of beef. Specially rare. Only down side is when order to g, they are skimpy on the meet side even though I ordered size large . And it did comes with any dip sauce.“

“Decided to pass by tomorrow and see how good the pho is because I know som great pho place is Alhambra. They had different item I wanted to try but my focus was on the pho. I order sat down , 5 mins later the food arrived. A good pho must have a good broth , it was ok ,I give it 3/5 the pho noodles was right on the money , but will say to a bit more noodles lol feel like it had a bit less or maybe I ate it fast and I didn't notice it 😂😂😂 the beef was nice and tender but also feel like it was a bit of beef 😂 who knows 😏 didn't taste that much spices on the broth. Or maybe this is how they make there pho broth. Overall 4/5 because I still enjoyed it ,the Thai tea was good also wasn't that sweet like other place they give you Thai tea and it felt like it was Thai tea leaf not that podwer Thai tea. I recommend you guys to come give it try , we all have different taste , you may like it or not , it all depends on you. I know I'm coming back to try their other items that good my attention 👀“

“We ordered ahead when they opened for the day, and when we arrived 15 minutes later we picked up our order. We had two extra large thai curry pizza with chicken and were able to sit down for lunch. It tasted good. There were peppers, chicken, and a lot of cheese on the pizza, with curry on the side as a dip or topping. The curry is slightly spicy, but good. Highly recommend.“

We ordered the soondae guk and the galbi tang. The galbi was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the soondae (blood sausage). The texture was different, filled with a mixture of pork blood and noodles.

Its located on Magnolia near La Palma Ave same center as Popeyes.

Its a mom and pop operation and the food seems home cooked.

“Legit Chuncheon-style Dakgalbi.

When I go to Korea, I love eating dakgalbi. Specifically, Chuncheon-style, where the meat is cooked in a spicy sauce with vegetables and other items that you can often choose (e.g. rice cakes, ramen, udon noodles, cheese, etc). I've tried to find the best dakgalbi in Seoul, and I feel like I've only scratched the surface.

In the US, I've only had dakgalbi a few times, and before Mhat, I'd been consistently underwhelmed. But Mhat has changed what I think dakgalbi can be in the US. Mhat serves up a version that is excellent, much like the better spots that I've found in Seoul. I didn't get a cheese version, but then again, I'm not really into the Korean trend of putting cheese on everything, so things like dakgalbi and galbi jjim usually go without cheese.

In short, my favorite dakgalbi in the US so far.“

There was a significant wait, but the folks at the restaurant heard me and tried to make things work. Otherwise I was going to order a take out. So they get a plus for service. The food was good too. “This place has great food and the sweetest owner/workers. I came during maybe Christmas Eve or Christmas day, none the less, they were open on the holidays. The lady who helped me was super sweet and just gave the best hospitality. Her husband (?) was also so nice and super helpful. I didn’t stay to eat there since I had my dog in the car, but people who came after me pulled up a chair and seemed to enjoy the environment. The parking lot was a bit rough around the edges so I was a tad hesitant but once I came into the store with welcoming smiles, it was all good. The food was super hot when received. I also had a bit of a drive home since they were one of a few places open that day. When I got home the food was still super hot. Also I think I spent about $10-15 but I had so much food that lasted a few days. Portions were huge, I liked it. Food was super tasty the day received and still good over the few days it took to eat the rest. Was easy to reheat in the microwave and a pan on the stove. Egg rolls also easy to reheat in air fryer. “Hangyang has been one of the must visit places ever since I found it about 15 years ago when I visited Anaheim for blizzcon. The place only serves a limited staple of Korean food but what they serve they do them so well that it's worth going just for that small menu. Over the years they expanded their menu but their staple imo is the galbi tang or beef bone soup. It comes with 2 pieces of large beef bones. The soup is delicious and is paired perfect with the mustard sauce.

There are other delicious offering such as the thistle rice bowl. I'd say because of the limited menu everything is great. The parking lot can be packed especially in the weekend as all the church goes come by. Most of the clienteles are usually middle aged or older so you know they know what authentic Korean food is.

The service is extremely efficient and very friendly. The place is clean just like most Korean restaurants. Nothing to complain about. Order the galbi tang and you'll be coming back.“

“Today at M’s kitchen, I went with the chef’s suggestion of “cold noodles” (which is the meat sauce noodle with soy bean paste, ask for cold noodles). The pronunciation sounds like Tsa Chang lian mein, and while my mandarin is terrible the food was thankfully not.
