Kashiwa Ramen Costa Mesa is a great ramen spot with amazing vibes and excellent service. The owner or manager is extremely friendly and helpful, making recommendations based on what customers like. The food is excellent, with options like gyoza, black garlic ramen, chicken curry, spicy black garlic with pork broth, tonkotsu, miso, yuzu shio, scallop, combu, dandan, and chicken brother ramen. All were excellent. The restaurant also recommends gyoza (dumplings) and karaage (Japanese fried chicken) for appetizer. There is absolutely no other place that will beat this ramen spot in OC. The owner is super nice and friendly, and the employees are super attentive and care about their customers a lot. The ramen is honest, rich, and deeply satisfying.
