I tried a Spicy Black Garlic Ramen and Edamame(with Garlic oil). Both of them were awesome. I chose the Tonkotsu soup base(spicy level 2) and it was very unqiue and delicious. Strongly recommended.

I really can't say enough about how good Kashiwa Ramen is; I love it so much I've eaten here several times in the last two weeks. This has to be one of the best ramen spots in OC currently. It originally started in Japan and came over to the States. In terms of quality, it definitely seems authentic.I've tried several items on the menu, and every time, it's delicious. I highly recommend dining in, but even if you order to go, or through doordash, it always comes piping hot and high quality.Today, I tried the Tsukumen, which is hard to find at other shops because it is a traditional dipping noodle where you dip it in the soup. I would highly recommend trying their tonkatsu ramen, although they also have other great items like smaller portion chashu rice bowls, which I swear the meat is so soft and tender. The chashu pork comes out great every time. The soft boiled egg is perfection. Both the straight and wavy noodles are wonderful. They also have a swirl broth, which is absolutely delicious; it's a mix of their pork and chicken broth together. They also have green tea, which tastes really crisp and fresh. They also have chicken if you don't eat pork.Overall, I really love Kashiwa and plan to continue frequenting it. The only critique I can give is that I wish the waitresses would check in on the tables at least once or twice every so often. Everyone is so kind and polite and the service is very fast. Dining by myself, i am in and out in under 30 minutes or so.Thank you so much for the wonderful meals, I plan to continue coming here in the future, and I hope more people come too.Vegetarian options: They do have tofu as protein for all ramen, miso ramen, sea kelp ramen, and other various side dishes like egg on rice.I would double-check with the waitresses to make sure the broth is 100% vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: If you do not eat pork, they have chicken as a protein topping as well.Parking: Big parking lot in a busy shopping center.Kid-friendliness: There are probably not a ton of options for kids, but if your kids are more adventurous, im sure they would enjoy it. I believe I've seen kids eating pretty plain ramen, just noodles and broth.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm pretty sure it's accessible to get in, but it is a small store and pretty tight. You may be able to fit your wheel chair at the counter if you ask.

Omg I love this ramen!! It's so good and definitely worth driving for from the IE. The owner is very sweet and comes around having conversations with his customers very casually. The service is great and I get attended to very quickly. This ramen is awesome my sister showed me this plan and it's now my favorite.

Some of the finest ramen bowls in Orange County are found at Kashiwa. I've been going here for 3-4 years. It had never left my ramen starting rotation. The Tsukamen here is the best in OC. The thick noodles are incredible as is the pork chasu. The Tsukamen broth is near indescribable in its unique flavor. I cannot recommend it highly enough. My son is infatuated with the tori paitan / chicken ramen that kashiwa specializes in. It's a perfect bowl every time. The kara-age appetizer is one of the best version of this fried chicken thigh dish I have enjoyed. I make sure to order it every time I bring a new person to Kashiwa and often a second order gets placed quickly. Chef Hiro is always crafting new ramen specials - often in collaboration with other Japanese restaurants or for local festivals - that are impressive and delicious. This is the must-visit place on Costa Mesa's "Ramen Row"'.

They have so many varieties of ramen here, there's something for everyone (even vegetarians/vegans!) They have their own parking lot so no issues with finding a spot. The restaurant itself is small with some tables and bar seating. We got seated right away on a Saturday night at 8pm. Food: mazemen 5/5 This is the best mazemen I've had and it easily outshines other places like mogumogu, menya hanabi, and kin! Flavor was spot on and they give A LOT of meat!! Original swirl broth with pork cha shu: 4/5 I'm really picky when it comes to ramen. My standards are high because of all the ramen I've had in Japan. This bowl was pretty damn good for what you can get here in the states. Again, they give A LOT of meat! The broth was super rich and flavorful, my only complaint is that it was really salty. I was drinking so much water after this and I went home to drink 2 more bottles of water. Overall I'd come back again. They cook their noodles perfectly Al Dente and the service was great!

Came here for late lunch with a friend. He got the spicy ramen and I got the black garlic. Was very impressed overall with the food. They let you pick thick wavy noodles or thin noodles. I always go with wavy for the texture and springy nature. Broth was rich and flavorful. Very filling even after just a few spoonfuls. Their chashu was a little on the thin side but had a terrific char to it that added a lot to the already great flavor. We ordered a karaage to share as well. Pieces were on the bigger side but were moist on the inside and crisp on the outside. There was a good flavoring to the batter as well. Definitely recommend if you're in the area looking for fantastic ramen!

I had the most flavorful and satisfying tsukemen here. My son tried their spicy black garlic ramen and chicken karaage bowl and said they were one of the best he's had as well. Love the atmosphere as well...felt relaxed, very clean, and service was great. We'll definitely be back.

Came in here, looking for vegan Ramen, which they had plenty of options for. I had told the waitress I was looking for a creamy broth, and I ordered one per her recommendation. After getting my Ramen, she asked me how it was and I told her it wasn't exactly creamy, so she offered me a replacement, but I denied and ate the Ramen that was made for me. It was very delicious. After paying and leaving, the waitress followed me to my car and offered me a voucher to come back and have free Ramen, so I can try the creamier option on the menu. Great attentive service :) Will be back to try the other option on the menu.
