Hopdoddy didn’t just save dinner tonight. Honestly; they may have prevented a homicide.

I placed a DoorDash order that got completely messed up, and by the time I realized it, I was operating at a level of hunger that should probably be studied by scientists. The kind of hunger where every sound is annoying, every question feels like a personal attack, and your boyfriend starts looking like a perfectly reasonable sacrifice to the burger gods.

First of all, a tiny, loving, respectful, and heartfelt “what the hell?” to DoorDash for sending me on this emotional journey.

Now for the heroes. 👏👏👏

I called Hopdoddy, and Autumn came to the rescue like the patron saint of hungry women everywhere. She checked on everything, reassured me that they had my back, and because my original order had been sitting too long, they made me an entirely fresh order. 🙌 🙌 🙌

But wait. The story gets better!!!!!

I didn’t catch the name of the kitchen hero working tonight, but whoever you are, sir, I hope both sides of your pillow are cold forever. This man kept me updated on my order, treated my hunger emergency with the seriousness it deserved, and hooked me up with their best of the best, did I say best?, Parmesan sauce.

And that Parmesan sauce?

Oh la la.

I don’t know what they’re putting in that stuff, but if someone told me it was churned by Italian angels under a full moon, I’d believe them.

By this point, I was one skipped meal away from chopping my boyfriend’s head off and displaying it as a warning to others. Then the burger arrived.

The burger was juicy. Fresh. Fatty. Beautiful. A masterpiece of beef engineering. 🍔 🤤

Within minutes, I transformed from a feral creature fueled by hormones, rage, and low blood sugar into a functioning member of society again. Oh, hello, it’s me again!

I wish I had a photo of this glorious meal, but unfortunately I was far too hangry to think about documenting it. The burger stood absolutely no chance. The second it arrived, it was immediately devoured like it owed me money.

Autumn, Mystery Kitchen Hero, and the entire Hopdoddy team absolutely saved me tonight. Thank you for fixing the order, feeding my soul, restoring peace to my household, and quite possibly preventing a crime. ♥️

As for DoorDash, we have all agreed to move forward, but trust has been damaged. 👎

“We hosted my daughter's 2nd birthday party there, the owners were so accommodating and let us setup the space however we wanted and also were very generous with setup and clean up time! The food and drink package was wonderful, so nice to have food that adults will enjoy too right on-site and don't needed to manage separate caterers. Everyone loved their meatballs. “I’ve been to this Starbucks quite a few times over the years since living in the area. In the past, I faced rude employees, esp on Veterans Day who claimed to not know about the same deal it is every year despite claiming they have worked there for many years. It made me uncomfortable enough to never want to go back there, and for a very long time, I did not.

I met their new store manager, Christine, at a different location I frequent, where I respectfully brought up these concerns. She profusely apologized for these experiences, even though she had nothing to do with them because she was not in charge during those times. She encouraged me to come back after they remodel and give them a second chance.

After recently visiting this place again, it was a very pleasant experience. The remodel looks fantastic. Plenty of room to lounge inside and outside. The employees were welcoming as well.

I look forward to going back there and becoming a regular.”

“I’ve been at least 4-5 times now - obsessed with the vietnamese iced coffee! I get the mocha one. I love that they let you adjust the sweetness level and actually make your drink based on the sweetness request. My kid got a passion fruit tea with boba and loved it. I tried a sample of their matcha tea and it is the real deal. Amazing alternative to ⭐️💵, this is my iced coffee go-to in this area now!”

“Good Japanese foods , many varieties of dishes . The fish grilled sea bass is cooked just perfectly fine . The salad is kinda american Japanese fusion but still good . The carbonara noodle - I don’t really care (It doesn’t really fit with the rest of the dishes) - overall is a great place to enjoy Japanese foods”

The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.”

“We are vegan and went with the Spicy Miso Ramen, it didn't disappoint. One suggestion, if you want the extra spice kick, ask for their chili oil, it really amped up the ramen overall.
Our kid enjoyed the mushroom bao too.

For parking, you can get lucky by finding a street parking behind the restaurant.”

“Tonight we, my husband and I, with our dear friends, the Crays, dined at Tomat for the first of what will be many times. The restaurant features a dining room and a roof top patio. A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!”

“Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing!
