“I was intrigued by the popularity of this restaurant and how much foot traffic it attracts. I decided to have one of the signature dishes, the salmon coconut bowl and was underwhelmed. It cost nearly $40, and though it’s unique, I wouldn't order it again. The service was subpar, too. Everyone was so busy. I ended up snatching my takeout from the counter without anyone noticing me or wanting to help. Despite all this, a long line of people wanted to get in on a Sunday afternoon. I, for one, will be spending my money elsewhere.”
“It took us a very ling time to get a table, but it was worth it.
Probably the best toro sashimi i tried! That little strip of fat on one side just made to all the difference!
The wagyu burger was also insanely good, kind of why we went there in the first place.
Come earlier and expect to wait a little, but you can grab some drinks while you wait and it is definitely worth it!
And priced very reasonable as well!”
“Amazing food. Even better service!! We definitely will be back!!!”
“Interesting food and drink flavors. Expect to wait on even a weeknight for a table- their ube drink is phenomenal! Other foods and drinks were decent
We got sat way too close to the table next to us to have a comfortable dinner experience. Could hear everything they were talking about (and likely vice versa). Good vibes tho. Maybe sit at the bar if you’re only 2”
“It wasn’t voted the best chicken in the us for nothing.”

“a bit pricey (at least here in downey) but the food is worth it!!”
“The staff was very nice. They have a nice seating area outside, no seating inside. The coffee is very good. I don’t like strong coffee so the Hot Nola was perfect.”
“The food and ambience & wine selection was excellent! We will be back!”
“Great food. Great service. Great people watching. New favorite local.”
“Dinner ,breakfast coffee, staff were so friendly and welcoming”
“Great dinner ( as always)! We loved everything, but especially the Nonna salad & the agnolotti- wow! I can't remember the name of our server. We've had her several times and she's great. We haven't been there in a month or so and we sat down & she remembered the cocktail who liked very impressive!”
“These sandwiches are bigger than my cat. Also would say this is one of my favorite sandwiches in Los Angeles. I am half Italian and I’ve been to Italy many times and can confirm this is a very authentic and delicious sandwich spot. They originally opened in 1991 in Florence and because of their popularity they now have multiple locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. I would not be surprised if more will be opening sometime soon, especially in OC or San Diego. There are not like the hoagie type of Bay Cities sandwiches they are much more meat and bread focused. The meat is much higher quality than you get at other locations and the bread is honestly huge and tasty. The focaccia bread is lightly coated with olive oil and it really makes for a delicious combination. The truffle spread on The Boss was absolutely fantastic and I enjoyed the others as well. I chose to do takeout for my order so did not dine in so cannot speak to in dining but I can confirm that takeout is honestly fantastic.
For our first visit, we wanted to try a few different items. We ordered the La Schiacciata Del Boss, La Dante, and The New Yorker. Our favorite of the three was The Boss especially because of the prosciutto and truffle cream combination. It was honestly amazing and I already want to get it again. La Dante is also very similar, but they use capocollo instead of prosciutto. The New Yorker was also very good and the roast beef was very lean and flavorful. The onion cream on it was also a new combo for me and I honestly really enjoyed it.
Pricing is fair, the sandwiches are huge, and the flavors are stupendous. I definitely would recommend to any fan of sandwiches, Italian food, or anyone looking for a unique and delicious breakfast or lunch option.”

“Delicious, pleasing/cool ambiance, and very friendly servers”
“I loved it. Everything is clean and the staff very friendly. And fist time going they help u order .”
“Crowd is absolutely obnoxious zoomers but the music is usually good and bumping. $7 Guinness at the time of posting 1/25/2024Can't stress how obnoxious the crowd is. They will step on your feet and act like you did something wrong. Very uppity crowd.”
“Thursday night wine tastings are the best! The owner is very knowledgeable and has a passion for teaching the nuances of tasting. She can always be relied on to choose an interesting and off the beaten path group of wines to taste.”
“Simply the best coffee shop in town. Leave your laptops at home. Grab a friend and engage in this community hub. Good music. High vibrations. Great coffee!! And then there’s Nicely…duh! ?☕️”
“Cozy terrace to enjoy a meal outdoors & hang out for a bit. Options with shade or in the sun. Reasonably priced menu with a range of light bites to heavier meals depending on your appetite.”
“Amazing staff, fantastic food, great atmosphere. 10 out of 10 for me!”
“We have been to Wabi on Rose several times and this restaurant continues to deliver. The inside can be loud so for a party of 2 it will be fine but anything larger it will probably be hard to have conversation. We sat outside at a sidewalk table and prefer to do this. A very elegant area of the restaurant. Plenty of fun people watching throughout! The food is great though it is pricey so come prepared. The Brussel sprouts and Brocilini made for a terrific start. The sushi portions are small. 1 piece/order felt kinda chintzy to us. All in all though, we like this place and will continue to frequent it!”
“Delicious, pleasing/cool ambiance, and very friendly servers”
“The dishes are uniquely prepared and very tasty. The only reason I chose a “4” for value is, this isn't inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Service was very good and we had a lovely table next to the fireplace.”

“No clue why this place doesn't have all 5-star reviews. We walked in Friday night for an early dinner and had a great experience.
The hostess quickly seated us, the place has a great vibe and atmosphere and our server Charlotte was great. Great cocktails, loved the guac and chips, the shrimp and short rib tacos were delicious and don't sleep on that squash blossom quesadilla.
We will definitely come back.”
“Food was great. Drinks were great. But I’m really giving 5 stars because of our very sweet waitress (manager if you’re reading this - we sat outside yesterday - Tuesday). After closing, we had left a bag on the table and she, post-shift, CHASED us down the street to ensure we got it. Thank you!!!”
“Shrimp & Grits and Spagetti & Meatballs were both outstanding as well the cocktails from the bar. Met the owner and manager who were both gracious hosts and our waiter was outstanding. I will return.”
“Excellent service and Food. It was Dine LA so we ordered that menu and the food was coursed out. Absolutely superb! What a great way to sample the chef’s specialties. Our waiter was the best!!!! Looking forward to dining again.”
“WHOEVER THE DJ WAS THAT WAS PLAYING AT THE END OF THE NIGHT ON 4/26, plz hire them again!!!! This was by the far the most lit the Lincoln has ever been, with banger after banger played. It was so good I was compelled to come here and leave a review ?”
“Antonio the owner is very friendly. The menu is extensive, the style is Bolognese, from Bologna. Very delicious and comforting, I ordered the Essential Spaghetti Bolognese Plate and it was really a different preparation, authentic and super tasty. Some German and Danish tourists told Antonio: "this is much tastier than what we tried in Italy!" It definitely reminds me of the tasty pasta dishes in the trattorias in Lima, Peru ?? good guy. Thank you Antonio, very good!”

“We live just up the street and love this place. Sometimes we’ll come for dinner, and the food is excellent, the staff always warm and knowledgeable. Other times we just come for the beer wall! Which is tons of fun with an group of friends.”
“A perfect evening was had by all, and no small part thanks to the great staff and managers. I made a mistake on the reservation and they quickly corrected it and took us to the proper table. The food was delicious, atmosphere was perfect under the canopy, but my company did most of that.”
“Easy to order over phone. Menu easy to find on website.
Food delicious - good selection, taste quite good
Duck fried rice was a hit, but rest of food really good too.
And the papaya salad was a little spicy - really good.
Will order again”
“Hands down the best gluten free I have ever eaten. Everywhere I go in other states, gluten free is dry and crumbly. Here, it is all the things you’d expect savory or sweet food to be. The entree and desserts are perfect here. I didn’t even realize my dessert was vegan until I gathered that everything CG makes is vegan. That is exceptional!”
“Great evening HH. My fav is Chx with Greek salad. Perfectly breaded every time- so crunchy- yum! Delish pasta- al denté perfectly. Bar setup doesn’t inspire conversation with others but food makes up for it. Service is hit or miss”
“I had the Best Mate Bowl with spicy chicken and it did not disappoint! I loved all veggies in the bowl.. Brussels sprouts, mushrooms, onions, kale, along with farro and scrambled eggs. If you are into healthy clean eating this is the place. The first restaurant I been to where you place your order via your phone. I would definitely go back!”
“Very good food, and dog friendly outside. We shared a glass of wine, got two pastas, and a dessert, and it was roughly $100. Would be a pricy (but good) place if you go all in on apps and all that, but don’t let the Google price tag scare you. The tortellini in particular was excellent!”
“Thursday night wine tastings are the best! The owner is very knowledgeable and has a passion for teaching the nuances of tasting. She can always be relied on to choose an interesting and off the beaten path group of wines to taste.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Fantastic, tender, freshly-made falafel. Tasty gigantes beans, beet salad. Wish they had more seating.
Vegetarian options: Falafel, Gigante beans, beet salad, potatoes, hummus.
Parking: Limited free parking, shared with other businesses.”
“Our recent lunch at 26 Beach was a delightful pasta experience. My Pappardelle Alfredo was a creamy dream. The wide, fresh pasta was perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, classic Alfredo sauce. The addition of earthy cremini mushrooms and tender asparagus elevated the dish, and the shrimp was a tasty upgrade for a modest price.
My wife's Pappardelle Bolognese was equally satisfying. The zesty Italian meat sauce was flavorful and beautifully complemented the pasta.
While this review is limited to two dishes, the quality of the pasta and sauces suggests that 26 Beach might be a hidden gem for pasta lovers. We're intrigued to return and explore more of their menu.”
“Came across the on a walk back from Venice Beach. Highly recommend.”
“First time here after many years of driving past this place. Was hesitant due to a 4.4 rating, but gave it a go. Food is about a 3.5-3.7, as I ordered Memphis ribs which were not tender and quite dry. I let the waitress know, but I decided to just eat what was on the plate not to waste that food. Collard greens were good, nothing stood out, stewed with tomatoes, Mac n cheese seemed bland to some degree. As others mentioned, the cornbread is the standout item. My waitress was exceptional and the vibe is cool. Not sure if I’d go back for ribs. Price is about on par with other bbq spots, $29 for the plate. Think my Dr Pepper was $4.50? That’s insane. The key lime pie was good $7.”
“Amazing food, amazing experience, fantastic service & WOW, the Extraordinary ARTWORK in this place ! I need to get the name of the artist & possibly have some work done for my own castle ?. You must go ...such an experience”
“Large selection of gluten-free dishes too. Amazingly inexpensive for Venice Beach. However, the restaurant could use a visual refresh.
Dietary restrictions: Large selection of gluten-free dishes.”
“Simply the best. I come here a couple times a week. Their tacos are fantastic, but I especially love their asada or pastor burritos. Their quesadillas are top-notch, as well.”
“Love their banh mi and they have really great customer service at this specific location. My toddler loves their chicken noodle soup and their boba is soft and chewy.”
“Had a great meal! Forwent ordering potstickers in order to try the enticingly named Gang of 4 ×4 - a delicious decision! The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. I felt as though I had wandered back into college in the early '70s.”
“Pasta was excellent! Very casual atmosphere with beach views, nice to have a beachside food option that is elevated without the having to be seated formally. Its a walk up & order and sit in open patio seating. Only improvement would be to add umbrellas for shade as we got sunburned not being prepared for outdoor open seating (bring sunblock) But would highly highly recommend the food and the tiramisu ? "chef's kiss". We really did enjoy the casual nature of the atmosphere and dining al fresco just like in Italy :)”
“Simply a warm place with delicious dishes. The furnishings are simple and functional but the loving and competent service makes this place special. You pay relatively little for the food by American standards, but that doesn't affect the quality. We even ate here twice.”
“Cozy terrace to enjoy a meal outdoors & hang out for a bit. Options with shade or in the sun. Reasonably priced menu with a range of light bites to heavier meals depending on your appetite.”
“Pizza were incredible and the staff were very hospitable. Went for my birthday and had a couple of the pies and red wine. They looked to have plenty of regulars and even dessert was fantastic.”
“Amazing staff, fantastic food, great atmosphere. 10 out of 10 for me!”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“Esta exelente ese pollo no se xk esta diferente jugoso grujiente delicicioso”
“The best place on the Westside to get The Lord's Chicken Sandwich. Been going since they opened a few years ago and it's still the go to. The Drive-Thru is efficient and in these trying times, they go ABOVE AND BEYOND health and safety measures to limit physical customer interaction. The only fast-food place I've been to that serves you your food on a literal tray! Food is always on point and tastes as fresh as when God created it. Plus if you sign up for the Chick-fil-A One app, Amanda is always hooking it up with free food because she knows what's up. P.S. Make sure you stay checking those receipts for Free Chicken Sandwiches!!!”
“The food was excellent! The service was excellent also ! Nice place”

Cheap Eats
“If you are from the east coast, Great Western Cheese Steak is like being at home. I have been here for more than 30 years and will not order a cheese steak anywhere else. These are the originals!”
“Intelligentsia Coffee Venice offers a delightful coffee experience. I had the Mocha, which was exceptional—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The baristas are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft, creating an inviting atmosphere. The shop's modern yet cozy ambiance makes it a great spot to relax or catch up on work. Plus, it's a good stop for a clean and convenient bathroom break. Highly recommend for coffee enthusiasts looking for a top-notch brew.”
“My son absolutely loves these empanadas, he is 2 years old. He is a very picky eater. But he ate empanadas almost every day when we where there. Rico gives excellent service. I highly recommend this place. If you are a foodie, you need to give this place a try!
Vegetarian options: Eggplant ? empanadas are the best vegetarian option, besides the muffins and coffee ☕”
“Tried it yesterday. Stopped for a coffee and stayed for the outdoor seating. The cappuccino was excellent!”
“The Spanish latte was terrific. There's not much seating so you'll probably want to get something to go. But they play music from a record player and the decor is funky beach. Very nice crew working there.
Parking: Very difficult to find parking. Just park for the Venice Beach experience and wander over.”
“Great coffee and relaxing ambience. The staff is super nice. Lattes and vanilla lattes are wonderful. Their egg sandwich comes sunny side up on an everything bagel and is delicious. Definitely recommend!”
“This is a food truck, and it’s parked on opposite side of the road from what Google Maps shows. No signage or anything, took me a minute to figure out I was at the right place. This is the best burrito I’ve ever had, and it’s not close. No cards, cash only. English is no problembo. If you don’t have cash, walk down the road to the 7/11 atm like I did and walk back. You won’t regret it. Carne asada burrito with cheese, beans, and rice. I added lots of cilantro, squeezed a few limes on it, put the hot sauce on, gave it back to him to fold it, and boom… hard to describe how good it was.”
“Cracking little bar… fantastic customer service and such a warm welcome.”
“This place is amazing.
Tacos are made to order. They are fresh and they are vibrant. Every ingredient compliments another ingredient. Everything is cooked absolutely perfectly. ?”
“I recently tried Abbott Pizza and it was a fantastic experience. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza was a flavor explosion, with just the right amount of spice and a generous topping of juicy chicken. The Pepperoni and Bacon Pizza was equally impressive, boasting crispy, savory bacon and perfectly seasoned pepperoni. The crust was perfectly baked, balancing crispness and chewiness. The staff was friendly and the service prompt. Abbott Pizza is a must-visit for pizza lovers!”
“stopped by for a chilled water bottle at this cafe near corner of famousvenice sign .#cafecollage #venicebeach #coffee #tea #cafe #breakfastallday #Venice #losangeles #LAfoodie #ad @cafecollagevenice”
“As a New Yorker I have high standards for what qualifies as good pizza and Cisco’s pizzeria far exceeded my expectations. The crust is as perfectly doughy and Crispy and many pizza places in the neighborhood have trouble getting it right but Cisco’s pizzeria has seemed to figure out the secret formula! 10/10 highly recommend! I would go for the whole pie it’s super filling and worth every penny.”
“One of my favorite spots on the boardwalk. Good food that isn’t expensive is hard to find around here. I get the spicy chicken bowl. Just chicken and rice but it’s so good.”
“They have amazing ice cream flavors. I've never been to an ice cream shop with all these filipno flavors. We would definitely come back.”
“Always fresh, always delicious and nourishing. As someone who has studied nutrition, I can say this company knows what it’s doing. The glamology smoothie and sophisticated salmon wrap are my favorites. Glamology has an insane amount of protein for being a plant-based source. It does have bovine collagen, so not vegan, but no whey means it’s lactose-intolerant friendly! The salmon wrap has lots of cruciferous vegetables and the perfect amount of smoked salmon with a delicious sauce on the side. All their juices, soups, and other deli items I’ve tried have been incredible, as well. The manager here, I believe her name is Caroline, is always super helpful, knowledgeable, attentive, and kind.”

“Just bad food. Had crab cakes, 3 salads and burger. None noteworthy. Everything else ok .”
“Had an outstanding night watching Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express at the Venice West. Venice West is an intimate venue with a perfect layout for live performances. Dinner was enjoyable and the staff was helpful and friendly. Now for the main event... Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express put on a heck of show. The band was tight and rocked the house. Every song was a hit and our group was blown away. Thanks for making great music! Looking forward to returning again for another memorable evening of great music and food.”

“Super déco et très bonne nourriture . Un vrai régal . On a adoré”
“Always a pleasant experience- great service. Some of the dishes this time were unremarkable - a green salad with cheese and avocado (large but not too tasty). The tuna tartare is usually quite tasty but this time it was bland. The burrata with fresh pears was good as was the mushroom pasta.”
“Loved it years ago, still love it. Stays busy, for good reason, and expect to move and keep up with the process.
Grab a number, grab a menu and pick what you want (with 1 backup), then patiently wait and enjoy the splendor of movement and cohesion as the kitchen delivers breads, meats, and cheeses with speed and a smile.

“A nice place to visit, love the environment and their service”
“This is another gem I take visitors to all the time, mostly for a late breakfast. I come here for 20+ years. I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best ... whatever food .... in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more. Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again. We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. Go here - prepared to have a good time - and you will.”

“UPDATE: Went to Prince st to order a second time, pizza was amazing. I guess the 1st time we ordered it was a fluke. But this time, we were very happy with the quality and taste. Would come back again.
And thanks again to management for helping to resolve the matter.
UPDATE: Spoke with the manager after the initial review. I appreciated the reach out to find out what happened.
END OF UPDATE
Was really looking forward to the pizza.
1st, 1 medium pizza or regular size pizza is enough to fill 2 people, ?. No need to get 2 separate pies. Believe me.
I got a square pizza. The dough was too soggy. I couldn't enjoy it if that was not the norm. There is an option to get the pizza extra crispy. Maybe I will try that next time.
Just be cautious of what you order. This is going to have me out of the pizza eating game for a while.
The service and the place was great. I went to the Venice location. Awesome service.”
