That thing was amazing, i was only supposed to take a bite cause i had 3 other flavors to try but Nope couldn't do it, i ate the whole thing. It had a chewy caramel center with gooey milk chocolate and crispy rice crispy's on the outside. Street parking available, they accepted cards and staff was very helpful. The hostess checked in with each person waiting to be seated multiple times-you don’t see that very much in most places. A good vibe inside and the atmosphere is nice also. Even though we were early, we still did have to wait almost 15min beyond our rez to be seated but, we were delighted when they offered to bring us an appetizer because they were sorry we had to wait so long. “AMAZING cookies! They were not kidding when they said they stand behind their craft. I've been on a cookie streak recently and have tried many different shops in the area with over 4.5+ in ratings. Most often than not, I left feeling disappointed. Cookies would either be stale, too hard, too brittle, too sweet, or pretty good but not worth $5-6. This is one cookie shop worth talking about. They carried all the exotic flavors, with the right texture and sweetness. I look forward to trying other flavors next time I visit. 1. Guava Cheese (9.5/10) - I love guava, and I love cheese but unfortunately for me, I can't do goat anything. Though there's only a hint of goat cheese, it's still there and you can taste it, if you are sensitive like me. Otherwise, it would've been a 10/10. Amazing texture and flavor. You will love this if goat cheese is your jam. 2. Matcha Strawberry Yuzu Mochi (9/10) - it's ALL there! A melange of different flavors that blend quite beautifully. Mochi is a little gritty (don't expect Japanese mochi texture here), but the cookie itself was so good and that touch of yuzu was exceptional. 3. Mango Sticky Rice (8.5/10) - Again, another unique flavor mix that was really nice. Sticky rice on top tends to get a little hard over time, but if you're a mango fan, this would be a flavor for you. They did not skimp on the ingredients and there's enough dried mango chunks for you to enjoy with every bite!“

“This place used to be the biz. I cannot deny that their food is jammin' but their service and overall attitude have a lot be desired. This was the spot after the world reopened and the outdoor seating made everyone feel a little more COVID safe. I think they started feeling themselves a little too much. After my wife and I had our first couple visits there, it was great. However, subsequent visits went from awful to the absolute worst. They failed to recognize our reservations a couple of times and when they got it wrong, they made us rush to order. I would get their food again but suggest getting it delivered to spare their nonsensical restaurant/business practices. If you want the pulpo, get it there and not for delivery. And for some reason, when you get the saltado delivered, you don't get the egg. I'm assuming it's due to possible foodbourne illness issues. Five stars for food, one star for service/attitude.“

“We found this place on Yelp when searching for a good brunch spot in the area. We ordered a few chef recommendations including the spicy southern fried chicken burger, peach salad (my friend), spaghetti and a few others. The burger is great and the bun is slightly crispy which is exactly I am looking for in a gourmet burger. The sauce is well balanced with a slight tanginess. I wish the side fried potatoes could be a little more though.I also ordered an Americano. Interestingly they served you a shot of espresso and let yourself add hot water to your like. Appreciate the touch. The place can get busy on a weekend. We only called 15 mins prior to our arrival without reservation, and were pleasantly surprised we had a seat once we checked in.“

“4 assorted donuts / 1 glazed, 1 reese peanut butter, 1 cinnamon sugar o-nut (cronut), 1 nutella strawberry o-nut - 5 ⭐!DK's Donut & Bakery in Santa Monica is an excellent, family-owned 24-hour donut shop and cafe that has been in business for over forty years. They have a mouth-watering selection of fresh donuts, including an impressive assortment of cronut inspired donuts.Their little shop is in a small strip mall in Santa Monica. I had no trouble finding parking right outfront. The shop has a colorful, pink-focused theme. They had an outstanding selection of donuts on display in their glass cases as well as a nice, large menu board offering up all kinds of snacks, drinks, and sandwiches. The four donuts I sampled on my visit to DK's were fantastic. It was honestly a very hard decision. I had to limit myself to four because when I buy donuts, I have very little self control and know I am going to eat them all the same day. Besides, donuts are always best when they are fresh. The strawberry nutella cronut style donut was amazing. Lots of rich, hazelnut spread flavor mixed with strawberry. The plain glazed donut was top notch. I always try to get a plain glaze and use it as a baseline. A great plain glaze donut is always a treat for me. The cinnamon sugar cronut and the peanut butter cup donut were also great.I know there are other "DK" donut places out there. This one is a real treat and I think it is the OG one. If you are in Santa Monica or are passing by, make sure you stop by and support a great local business!“

“A cookie store that seams to like to take things to the next level. They don't have your plain cookie choices. The chocolate chip option has 3 kinds of special chocolates. Some choices made with duck eggs, lots of vegan choices. Almost anything you can dream of they made a cookie out of it.All the cookies are hand made, hand mixed and custom made by actual bakers not machines. They are very large cookies, very soft and not dry.Even though they have cookie in the name they seam to be equally famous for their expresso, coffees and milk shakes. The milkshake come custom with pieces of their cookies crumbled inside which they go grab fresh from the back. They have a good selection of Gelato which was very good. And how can you beat Gelato and a cookie. There was indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. Staff seam very friendly and loved to talk about their baking process. They will tell you how everything is handmade and made fresh to order. Brag how everything is hand mixes so you don't get the machine melting to chocolate or leaving uneven mixes for the batter. The Staff does a good job talking up the cookies and the cookies live up to the hype.If you are staying in some of the higher end Beverly hills hotels you can ask the front desk if they have any of the cookies available, as they seam to be the go to cookie for the big hotels to display in their lobbies. If they have run out, stopping by the store is a must stop while in town.Parking: Lots of parking options. Closest is paid street parking. Depending on the time of day you can park right in front of the store. There is a parking garage about a block away with free 2 hour parking or a parking lot a block the other direction offers free parking for the grocery store but a good choice for a quick cookie stop.Kid-friendliness: Lots of cookie, Gelato, milkshake options. The milkshakes are real cookie pieces which kids seam to find extra exciting.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at the entrance and easy to move around store“

“One of the very few bakeries in L.A. that offers a variety of low carb desserts. Furthermore, they also offer keto drinks. My favorite is the keto horchata, which tastes amazing, maybe even better than a regular horchata. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for vegan, low carb, gluten free, or any pastry for a particular diet.“

“The design of the cake, the taste of the cake, the service. Everything was perfect. We had many guests comment on the taste of the cake and asked where it was from. Definitely a huge hit at the party. Thanks so much for making the process so easy as I am an out of towner. 10/10 recommend!“

“Oh my goodness what a hidden gem!Stunning pastries and lovely French sandwiches. Besides the things Americans might expect at a French bakery they have a diversity of more classic French treats and some experiments that' say "Californie" to me such as the double chocolate croissant which is a lovely even deep brown, every crumb of it -- had to buy that to share with my dad. The relaxed sunny vibe locates this shop right between Manhattan Beach snd, I dunno, Saint Tropez. If you are South Bay bound worth the trek. I'm jazzed to have a bag of their goodies to go.The cappuccino tastes French. Magnifique.“

“It's now become a routine and I come here several times a week for a bacon stuffed roll + ice coffee. When I'm feeling extra adventurous, I would get an everything (sourdough) bagel as well. If there happens to be banana bread, I get that every now and then because it's pretty amazing. The biscuits are also phenomenal. I've tried everything now but the sandwiches and since everything else is amazing, I assume those are great as well. Service is always amazing. Ambiance is always amazing. Cheers to a great local spot.“

“I'm so glad to find this Bakery store. I went there on Thursday. I bought plain milk bread for making sandwiches. It tastes very good so I went back buying Sunday. Today I bought pastry, loafs, mini cake even flavored coffee ( Konako latte) Well done ?Everything was amazingly delicious. I can’t find this quality bread in LA. I prefer rice but omg for these things I have to go back. I’ll try pizza next time. Employees are very sweet. Thank you Roji“

“I saw Rockenwagner on an Eater's best-of list and was also recommended by a friend. My experience here was just okay--not great, not bad...kind of unremarkable. My partner and I ordered a few pastries to go (a lox and everything bagel Danish, a bear claw, and a pretzel), a loaf of their raisin pecan bread, and two entrees--a pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich and a pretzel bun burger (It was 11:30 AM and we wanted the best of both pretzel worlds). General thoughts: Entrees: I am a pretzel lover and the pretzel bun and croissant didn't scratch the itch. Maybe it's the lack of lye flavoring? The burger and sandwich were both decently cooked and made with fresh ingredients. I truly think it is criminal that a breakfast sandwich costs 15 dollars nowadays, but hey, welcome to LA/Southern California. Pastries: We made the mistake of waiting to eat the pastries until the next morning. They lost that day of freshness, so that's 100% on us. The lox/everything bagel Danish was beautiful and such a creative idea, but it was missing something...and ultimately made me want to eat an actual lox and bagel. I don't remember what the bear claw tasted like but remember that it was filled with frangipane. The pretzel was probably my favorite out of the bunch, but I think there was too much cheese on it (which is rarely an issue). Bread: The pecan raisin loaf is pretty good toasted with butter. I am not sure if it is baked the same day it is sold (or even baked on-site?), as the loaf was packaged in an additional layer of plastic. I wish it had more of a crusty exterior/soft interior that most fresh artisanal loaves have. Rockenwagner's fine and I would like to come back to give it another chance, but with Lodge Bread so close...“
