“Delicious pastries (the Crème Brûlée and Lemon tart are my current favorites). Each time I try a new one, it becomes my favorite! They are certainly among the best bakers in the country outside of France. They really are! To boot, the proprietors are extremely friendly and efficient. Easy 5*****! “These heart cookies with the pink frosting were literally my lifeblood in the early 2000s as a young chimp running around the AMS Elementary School.I came back here for the first time in a minute this weekend, now a full grown orangutan, and can confirm these heart cookies with the pink frosting ($1.50) are still literal crack cocaine. I really don't even mess with frosting on cookies usually, but Becker's is just different.I paired an americano with my cookie, as they now have a Hi-Fi Espresso in here which I think slangs some of the best espresso around. It makes me feel like I'm in Europe idk how else to describe it.I almost bought a shirt, but I have SO many shirts already so I opted against it. However, when I was doing my due diligence for this review a sense of regret shot through my spine like it was an epidural when I saw Beckers has been around since 1942. I had NO idea that Beckers has been around since Joseph Stalin was the Time Magazine Person of the Year. Still so crazy he was Time's Person of the Year.......The business is still in the family after 3 generations (Shoutout to the OG Harry Becker for kicking it off), which really makes me want to go back and buy a shirt. I love places passed from generation to generation. No wonder these heart cookies with the pink frosting still taste exactly the same as they did when I was just a little chimp.Some free game for y'all, if you go to someone's party in Manhattan Beach and they don't have a box of Becker's cookies, they are a big fat phony..... ahaha I'm playin but actually OGs will always have a box of Beckers for a function.I should mention that they also have a deli here that people love, but I've really only ever been here for the cookies. You know why I'm here.As the money and botox continues to move into Manhattan Beach, this is one of the 5 or 6 places left keeping the soul of what I knew as a small local beach town alive.THANK YOU BECKERS NEVER SWITCH UP! “Absolutely found my new favourite breakfast spot in Manhattan Beach. The menu is amazing, the staff couldn't be more welcoming and the breads are some of the best I've ever had... In fact to say the least, this may be my new go-to bakery. I live in Long Beach and it's entirely worth making the trip once a week.“

“The coffee, the environment, the baristas, the location. Offset is my favorite coffee shop. I have noticed they pick up on regulars' names and orders. The baristas are ALL good at what they do so I can always expect a Vanilla Latte to perfection. Their pastries are so delicious, super dog friendly. Their overall aesthetic is clean and modern. Parking is super easy at the El Segundo location. I highly recommend Offset to anyone near LAX or in the El Segundo area. I wish they'd migrate towards me in West Hollywood, lucky for me I work right next to it.“

“We had the special lunar new year Bruce Lee cupcake and it was amazing! Hope they consider adding this to their specialty offerings! Haven't tried the GF or Vegan options but love how convenient the location is. This location still looks super new- very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. We had ordered online and it was ready and available for pick up at the stated time...when we arrived for pick up, we of course smelled the deliciousness so had to order more. It only took about 10 minutes total from ordering onsite on their tablet to being able to take our customized box home. We will be back!

Parking: The time of day you go to Manhattan Village will determine whether there are available spots or not. We went at 11 on a Sunday with tons of spots available but by the time we left at 1, people were lining up for our spot as we left the garage.

Kid-friendliness: Kids will love their decorate your own boxes and well, kids love cupcakes. They have Gluten friendly, Sugar free and Vegan options so parents will appreciate being able to still order cupcakes that are healthy without the kids knowing.“
