“It’s brand new and clean. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. It’s a very comfortable environment with electrical outlets and USB ports for your electronic devices. And the food! Best turkey burger I’ve had in the South Bay and those brussels sprouts are to die for. Go! Quickly! 😬❤️😬“

“Japanese style pasta is it's own category, not to be compared to Italian pasta. As is the Japanese way, they take something great and do their own excellent interpretation.

Both were super tasty and full of umami

Also ordered the
Katsu Curry Bowl 10/10 - Tender Juicy panko chicken katsu served over perfect rice (I mean every grain is perfect) and the most delicious home made curry sauce.

I believe that it is take-out only (which is what we did) hubs did the pick up and said there isn't really space to eat in.

“I was looking for a bagel spot because my normal spot was closed. The shop is small but it was easy to order early morning (7am) on a weekday.

There are several pastry options - I got the Sourdough bagel with a yummy salmon cream cheese!

It was a good bagel! Not the best bagel but I'd go back to try another!“

“Easily some of the best ice cream you will ever have! Handel's makes their ice cream fresh daily, and you can absolutely taste the difference—it is incredibly rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Their menu is massive, so there’s always something new to try, but you can’t go wrong with the classics or their seasonal specials. The portions are very generous for the price, and the service is always fast and friendly. It’s an absolute must-visit every single time I’m craving something sweet!“

“Pretty good restaurant with authentic flavors. Prices are a little on the higher side, but the dishes are interesting, like the special lobster pad Thai and soft shell crab pad Thai. The lobster one seemed especially popular, so I might give it a try next time. There’s only 1 bathroom, so good luck during rush hour.“

“This is a hole in the wall restaurant. Most people order to go due to limited seating. This has been my favorite place for over 20 yrs. I now live 2 hrs away but when I'm in that area, I will no leave without eating here. Friendly staff, treats everyone like family. Food is delicious 🤤 , and generous portions. My kids love their Burrito Deluxe.“

There's an okay amount of seating outside but it was really bright and very little shade available- there were some benches in the shared alley with the neighboring bookstore but those were occupied with families and were a little loud for what I needed at the time - a little caffeine break outside the office. The 4 stars for food are based entirely on my masala chai which tasted fine- not too sweet, but was a little grittier than I like my beverages to be.“

“Came to eat with the fam after a day at the beach. Always hit Fatburger when in town, but this one is extra good. Food was delicious, not thrown together, the girl working the register was very friendly and welcoming, and the guy on the grill went out of his way to accommodate special orders for the kids and even brought the food out himself.

Hard to find quality service, especially in the fast food space, but the two people working this store are solid.“

“A large group of us used the room upstairs last night for a private party at the Hennessey's Manhattan Beach location. They went above and beyond for our party! The food was great, and drinks were delicious and our server Lindsey, was probably the best server I've had at restaurant. We weren't an easy group to work, people came in and left at different times, all our drinks and food orders came at her at different times. Both the food and drinks came back upstairs with her quickly. When my fish and chips (so yummy, by the way) arrived, I thought it must be someone else's cause I couldn't believe how fast they arrived. :-) . When Lindsey would come back up with more drinks or food, people would be sitting in totally different spots in the room, cause we were mingling, and she was able to spot the right person who ordered and drop off with no problem. When the checks came I don't even know how she kept it all straight. For example I was sitting on the other side of the room from my fiancé when I ordered a 2nd cocktail, but she knew exactly which bill to put that on. She managed all of that chaos with probably 15 different checks with a smile on her face the whole time. We will definitely be going back.“

“This is my favorite pizza place in the South Bay. It’s my guilty pleasure place when I don’t feel like cooking. I usually get the supreme. The cheese is good quality and they make the pie fast. I get the personal size. I’ve also had their hot sandwich’s which are just as good. Bit pricy but the quality is worth it. For context I’ve lived in NY, NJ, Chicago. This place is my go to here.“

“Part of a chain, the Manhattan Beach Silverlake Ramen serves up a solid meal of Ramen (also saves me from driving to Sawtelle Blvd to eat). The Ramen is well prepared, properly spiced/flavored, and served at a proper temperature. This is the go to dish when you come here. I get the Blaze with pork because I want the extra spice level and it warms me up in the winter.
The rice bowl and the appetizers are all tasty and well prepared with good sized portions.
Service is good and they will attend to your needs but the wait staff is in between a lot of tables so it can get slightly spotty during service rushes. They will drop water carafes on the table so you do not need to ask for refills. There is a Silverlake Rewards app that is great to use to get free items if you consistently dine here, so I suggest downloading it. The points update quickly after you pay for a meal.
The environment is inside but the end of the restaurant is open to the outside of the Manhattan Village outside mall area. There are plenty of heat lamps if you are near the outside so you will stay warm. The bathrooms are clean and well serviced.
Definitely will return to dine here.“
