Beckers bakery being in the same building is the icing on the cake because you can get a sweet pastry with your coffee! The dip was not too oily. Also came with a small salsa, though it needed something more solid in it.- Dos Gringas (al pastor tacos): the highlight were the tortillas - perfection! Lots of meat. Lots of delicious sauce though a bit too much- Mexican Kale Salad: I’d say this salad is more American than Mexican. For my wife this dish was perfect though for me it was too subtle, though still very good- El Verde mocktail - perfection & refreshing. Try it- Chef Jose’s flan with rompope - seriously the best flan ever. You can taste the alcohol from the rompope, which complements the flan. My partner loved the lobster risotto although we wish the portioning on the risotto was a bit more and less asparagus puree. The peach cobbler was a perfect finisher! The manager was very attentive and so was a runner which immediately brought me a new utensil once my entree arrived. Would highly recommend the chicken empanadas and our server made a suggestion for the crispy rice which was delicious and comes in generous portions of 4.“

“One of my favorite places and a must stop shop when I'm in Manhattan beach. FROZEN BANANAS. Hands down don't know anywhere that makes better frozen bananas. This menu item alone deserves 5 stars. Every theme park I go to - I always get their frozen bananas... but once I found this location , never again did I purchase a frozen banana anywhere else but there. They have the BEST. First of all- their bananas are frozen (so I do not recommend this to people with sensitive and poor dentures)... second their banana to chocolate ratio is PERfect!! It's like a whole Chuck of chocolate for every bite. And plus there are options other than peanuts. For my peanut allergy friends who can never eat a frozen banana because they always automatically come with peanuts - these can come with almonds or sprinkles or even just plain chocolate. I always order Frozen banana - dark chocolate with almonds Everything else seems amazing but I'm just going to post on how much I love this place for their frozen bananas. DONE.“
“Best meal I've had in years. Every once in a while you stumble upon a place like this. This hits my sweet spot for a restaurant. Nothing pretentious or fancy for no reason. Just super high quality food, prepared with care and creativity. Every dish we had was excellent. Just the right balance of flavors and textures: not too salty, sweet, or strong. Everything cooked to perfection - fried mushrooms were just cooked enough on the inside but not overcooked, and perfectly crisp on the outside. The kabocha squash was the perfect texture. We loved the chunky cut cucumber dish, unique! Lobster miso ramen was so delicious and creative! Who has ever heard of that? So much I want to learn from this chef. Even the plain brown rice was perfectly prepared. You can taste the quality in the ingredients, probably local and organic. Service was perfect, just attentive enough without ever interrupting. Top 3 most memorable meals I've ever had. I get the sense the chef here could have Michelin stars if they wanted that, but have opted for a less stressful and pretentious operation. I would say that the hot honey would be the best, still need to try the other flavors. The mild was ok, it was more of the seasoning instead of a sauce which was kind of disappointing, but still enjoyable. The fries were decent, but to be fair it would've been better if I would've eaten the fries then and there instead of waiting to get home. Of the 6 they had on tap, the Southern was my favorite, but the blood orange session came a close second. I didn't get sloppy and kept it to 3oz pours while I read a chapter. You can conveniently order Pitfire pizza from your phone and they'll deliver to you. Even with a koozie and tip my bill was still under $20!“

However the time before today the amount of chicken was a small thin filet set in the middle of the pasta, I was really disappointed and didn’t want to order from them again. But, I was really craving that dish today and thought that they must have different people fixing the food, so I gave them another chance. I ordered the honey glaze salmon with rice and broccoli. My salmon and rice were tasty but the broccoli lacked flavor. The Cesar salad with grilled chicken was tasty. This restaurant has large patio with heaters and TV’s. We came for happy hour and to watch March Madness. Parking on Fridays and Saturdays can be a challenge. All of the parking is meter parking. A great place to meet with a guest/buddy/date for lunch. I will be back. The tacos were delicious! As were the chips.
