Not much parking and always a line to get in, but the guys at the counter are great and the choices are limited so it moves very fast. Not much seating but take out works. Truly recommend trying it out. If you like poke you will love it!“

“Went to Yamashiro for the first time today! I have to say this is probably one of the best sushi places I have ever been to. The fried oysters were delicious! We ordered three different rolls and all of them were just beautiful from a presentation and artistry perspective, but tasting them was even better! The volcano roll was served on grapefruit slices, which made them very colorful and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The Yamashara roll was not only beautiful but it's the first time I have ever had mango with my sushi rolls and it actually added a really nice dimension of tropical fruit to already super fresh tasting tuna and avocado. The crispy roll had fried onions that were somehow not greasy, which was surprising. I'm wondering if they were air fried? But really great addition to texture for the rolls. We also had the yellowtail collar, which was cooked flawlessly. Oftentimes, yellowtail collar can you overcooked so part of it can be fairly dry. This caller was moist all the way around, perfect pockets of fish fat, and a very light unami salty flavor. The last thing we had, which I think was very fortunate because they don't always have it, was the Japanese tuna Ono which was cooked in a wonderful miso sauce.

I know I keep going on about this spot, but these rules were truly unique and I eat a lot of sushi, lol! Did I mention that we had a wonderful server, which I didn't get her name, but she's a Japanese woman that may have been the owner. I'm not sure, but her spirit was so respectful and refreshing and we loved her kindness and attentiveness. Really great service! I can't wait to go here again next time I visit the Redondo Beach area!!!“

The blueberry matcha is not too sweet, not too fatty or creamy, it’s just right. Their latte is really nice, the beans they use are very tasty“

The pasta wasn’t over cooked and the flavors well rounded. We ordered the Caprese and Bread to start then got some Vodka Pastas and the Curry Bolognese. Finished it off with a dessert trio along with some fun drinks. Out played came out fast and overall had an enjoyable time. The atmosphere was lively and the restaurant itself was very spacious.

“Wow! I was very surprised and impressed by the quality and taste of this fish! I got the fisherman's basket and they sent out a trio of dipping sauces. Very tasty very yummy. The fish was cooked wonderfully the calamari tasted great. The crabcake was over the top! And the value was incredible. this place is definitely got a good restaurant strategy going. come try it. “Everytume we go out around a Holiday, can be precarious. Restaurant only had a couple of parties . One guy at the counter bar. Right where're we requested our seating at reservation. Obviously, no one read the request and didn't care. Got the eye roll gesture body language. Typically, the Restaurant is on top of it. “We ended up at Lozio Osteria Pizzeria Bar completely by accident. My friends and I were looking for a new place to celebrate my birthday, somewhere we hadn’t been before, and this turned out to be such a great find.

Honestly, all the food was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were especially amazing. We finished them so quickly that we had to order another round.

We had bruschetta, a charcuterie board, Caesar salad, fettuccine bolognese, and carbonara, and everything was spot on. For dessert, we ordered a pistachio cake. The portions were perfect for a group of five girls, and we left happy and full.

The cocktails were also great, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

And the service really made the experience. Our waiter had such a great sense of humor, kept joking with us, and truly lifted the whole mood of the evening.“

Usually the workers are inside in the kitchen area so there’s a red bell you need to ring for them to come out and take your order. Portions and prices are great. I got mine to go and it was delicious. Ask for the daily menu. Mine was rice soup with green peas, carrot and beef, rice, beans and grilled chicken breast and sweet plantains. I also got the patacon (green fried plantain) with shredded beef on top. It was so delicious and juicy. The mango juice was so good and made with fruit I could taste the mango, I love Lulo
So I had to get Lulo too. My husband is American and Im colombian. We shared and have left overs for dinner. Thank you and i hope there’s more word of mouth for locals to check out this location.“

“I went for lunch and got their breakfast burger off their brunch menu, which was delicious. Sometimes, I find those to be a gimmick, but this one really worked! Their fries were solid too, and service was solid. My only minor complaint was that my Arnold Palmer was more ice than tea or lemonade, but it was still tasty“

“Lovely place. Unfortunately for us, we've been passing this restaurant by for years, as there is almost always a small crowd waiting outside for a table. However, today we took a chance, parked on the street near the restaurant & ventured inside. -- The decor is not fancy, but the atmosphere is friendly, light & inviting. And, the smells coming from the kitchen, as well as the custom coffee drinks was enticing.
-- Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, explained several dishes, answered questions we had about drinks, menu options, made solid recommendations, and easily took our orders. -- The drinks arrived fairly quickly, followed a few minutes later by our requested orders. Our meals were hot & freshly prepared as ordered (& had not been left sitting under warming lights.) The items we chose were very tasty, the fresh fruit cups were chilled & appeared to be prepped shortly before the meal was served. Very nice. Long before we had finished eating, we'd decided we would be returning to this hidden little gem on PCH to adventure further into the menu & sample some additional treats prepared by the chef & staff. “Zoku was a great first-time experience. We started with the spicy karaage, yaki onigiri, and shishito peppers, and everything was well-seasoned and full of character. The onigiri was particularly memorable—smoky, savory, and delicious. The shishitos had a unique spice medley with an earthy, green umami flavor, while the karaage brought an approachable medium heat and an almost angry dark color that made it even more intriguing.

The Zoku Salad, their take on a Japanese Caesar, was colorful, textural, and genuinely pleasant to eat. We also worked our way through all eight chicken kushiyaki options. The wasabi, meatball, and spicy momo were the standouts.

Service was friendly, efficient, and energetic. The staff were on the ball throughout the meal. Add in the fun, casual atmosphere, and Zoku is an easy place to recommend. Definitely looking forward to going back.“

I saw some for sale signs on the property and I really hope this location doesn’t move! It’s such a staple in the area, I used to sneak out of RUHS during lunch to run down and get burritos in high school. I would be very sad if it left their PCH spot!!
