It's sparkling shiny and looks eat off the floor clean. The food is fast food priced and is not just a great value in a taste test with nearby El Tarasco that looks more local than this franchise ready busy choice. The taste here is the clear winner. You get less food but for half the price. Mahi Mahi fish taco compared to just the fish of the day at nearby Fiesta.“

“Lovely place. Unfortunately for us, we've been passing this restaurant by for years, as there is almost always a small crowd waiting outside for a table. However, today we took a chance, parked on the street near the restaurant & ventured inside. -- The decor is not fancy, but the atmosphere is friendly, light & inviting. And, the smells coming from the kitchen, as well as the custom coffee drinks was enticing.
-- Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, explained several dishes, answered questions we had about drinks, menu options, made solid recommendations, and easily took our orders. -- The drinks arrived fairly quickly, followed a few minutes later by our requested orders. Our meals were hot & freshly prepared as ordered (& had not been left sitting under warming lights.) The items we chose were very tasty, the fresh fruit cups were chilled & appeared to be prepped shortly before the meal was served. Very nice. Long before we had finished eating, we'd decided we would be returning to this hidden little gem on PCH to adventure further into the menu & sample some additional treats prepared by the chef & staff. “Went to Yamashiro for the first time today! I have to say this is probably one of the best sushi places I have ever been to. The fried oysters were delicious! We ordered three different rolls and all of them were just beautiful from a presentation and artistry perspective, but tasting them was even better! The volcano roll was served on grapefruit slices, which made them very colorful and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The Yamashara roll was not only beautiful but it's the first time I have ever had mango with my sushi rolls and it actually added a really nice dimension of tropical fruit to already super fresh tasting tuna and avocado. The crispy roll had fried onions that were somehow not greasy, which was surprising. I'm wondering if they were air fried? But really great addition to texture for the rolls. We also had the yellowtail collar, which was cooked flawlessly. Oftentimes, yellowtail collar can you overcooked so part of it can be fairly dry. This caller was moist all the way around, perfect pockets of fish fat, and a very light unami salty flavor. The last thing we had, which I think was very fortunate because they don't always have it, was the Japanese tuna Ono which was cooked in a wonderful miso sauce.

I know I keep going on about this spot, but these rules were truly unique and I eat a lot of sushi, lol! Did I mention that we had a wonderful server, which I didn't get her name, but she's a Japanese woman that may have been the owner. I'm not sure, but her spirit was so respectful and refreshing and we loved her kindness and attentiveness. Really great service! I can't wait to go here again next time I visit the Redondo Beach area!!!“

“Everytume we go out around a Holiday, can be precarious. Restaurant only had a couple of parties . One guy at the counter bar. Right where're we requested our seating at reservation. Obviously, no one read the request and didn't care. Got the eye roll gesture body language. Typically, the Restaurant is on top of it. Still the fish tacos are outstanding and chicken nachos Loved the food. We've been patrons since Hudson House open and always will be!!“

“We were in the area and wanted Thai food and Bamboo Thai Bistro came up. We stopped in and were greeted. We ordered the Wonton Soup to start, Mixed Vegetables with Chicken,Orange Chicken, and a side of Steamed Rice.

The food came out quickly and it was fresh and delicious.

For dessert, we had the Mango and Sticky rice. It was great.

We are glad we stopped in.

“We recently catered a birthday party w/Casa Playa. It was pretty short notice, 3 days, but they really made our party perfect! I called and Alathena helped walk me through the menu to choose just the right amount of food. They provided the buffet racks and the sterno (saved me a couple of trips looking for them). Everything was delivered exactly on time and hot! They even provided signs to make choosing easier. The food was DE-Licious!! Crispy tacos were awesome as were the enchiladas. “I always love getting a poke bowl from rainbow. I usually order and then pick up for takeout. They have a few tables but the place is small. But the ocean is near and a good place to sit on a bench and eat poke’! The service is always friendly. I love adding the soba noodles and at times the eel to my bowl. So good. Plenty variety of salad ces and toppings.“

I ordered the Greek Coffee (coffee, figs, dates, cardamom, cacao, banana and almond milk) and would give it an 8/10. The flavors could be better balanced to let the almond and banana shine more than the dates.

Prices are definitely steep but the portions are generous. I could’ve easily split my $15 shake with someone else.“

“Food and portions were really good. We were definitely planning to come back, but when we asked for water, we were told that they only sell bottled water. It was a turn off. I would highly recommend that you just offer your customers cups of water without having to pay. Otherwise we probably won't be coming back to dine in.“

“A coffee shop with a very calm atmosphere and a sense of history. The coffee is incredibly smooth and delicious.
It’s convenient, too, with free parking available.
The interior is old, so it might be a bit dusty, but the outdoor patio is pleasant.
