“We had a great dining experience at Urban Plates in Long Beach. Mariana explained the menu choices in a very unrushed manner, and we decided on the steak. I ordered the Chimichurri grass-fed steak with balsamic brussel sprouts and herb-roasted potatoes. All of it was delicious ( and healthy too!). The deserts were absolutely killer too. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in Long Beach.“

“Josui is the most authentic tasting Japanese ramen restaurant I’ve found in Torrance. My personal favorite is the Abura Soba, especially in the warm summer months, but the Josui ramen both with and without garlic is fantastic. My co-workers go nuts for the Tan-tan men.

“First time here & I will say that this little hole in the wall was fantastic! The food was great, but the service was beyond phenomenal! We told her that this was our first time & she made recommendations & even brought us a few things to try (on the house)! After dinner, she brought us hot tea & even sent me home with a few tea bags for later! We will definitely be coming back!“

“This is my second time here. The first time I came was a month ago and meant to leave a review . The sevice was outstanding. A young gentleman name Andrew went above and beyond to provide exceptional service . He was very nice, professional and overall a very happy person who loved his job. Its employees like this that makes a business successful! Its because of Andrew is why I came back today since I was in the area . I had several options of restaurants to choose from and chose to come back to Blue Salt Fish Grill. Today, the sevice was even better because a new trainee, Ayyaub was here with Andrew and had outstanding service . The manager here has done a great job in hiring great employees. “What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. From the calzone, to the pizza, salads and even the Cannoli Siciliani Pistacchio, everything has been nothing short of amazing. To top it off, it’s family run and they are all the sweetest and most warm people I’ve encountered at any local restaurant. If you haven’t tried them yet, you need to stop by.“

“Food was EXCELLENT! All staff made sure to check on me and whoever was waiting showing good care and tentativeness. My waitress Aurora recommended the Spanish Latte and it was delicious. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast and I swear I could’ve teared up. Great menu selection and the atmosphere is pleasantly simple for having such high quality food. Definitely a place to keep coming back to! :D“

“Walked in and got a pizza and side of BBQ wings as a take-out order (you can order at the bar). Waited no longer than 15 minutes. Service was friendly. Food was enough for 2 people. Pizza was great and the BBQ wings were the best I've had in Downtown Torrance.“

The food at Nordstroms, plural, always comes well made and much fancier than its price, though the price is not cheap. They use good ingredients in my opinion and I would highly recommend trying the Nicoise Salmon Salad“

“This was our first time eating Okonomiyaki! We didn't get a chance to try when were in Japan so was happy to find this gem. The food was a delicious as it looks! Noodles were perfectly crispy and the sauce really brought the whole dish together. It was SO good. Also got the omurice--tasted different than the one we had in Japan, but still good. Super nice staff and restaurant is baby friendly with a booster/high chair available for use. Great place, super authentic.“

“Authentic, high quality yakitori restaurant with a large Japanese clientele. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:45pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was full except for the 1 table we had reserved. We tried most of the chicken yakitori selections, and a few of the beef, pork and fish ones as well as the vegetables. They were all good and comparable to the high end yakitori restaurants in New York City. The service was friendly and efficient, considering there were only 2 people covering the entire restaurant. Overall a good yakitori restaurant.“
