“My date and I had dinner at Wagyu Butcher, and it was a wonderful experience for us both. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival, and the staff welcomed us with exceptional hospitality. Once we were seated, the atmosphere truly made me feel as if I were in Japan.
Both my date and I chose the Butcher’s Omakase course, the appetizers and every cut of meat was absolutely delicious. What really stood out to us was watching the staff cut the meats right in front of us, which made us truly appreciate the freshness and quality. We both upgraded the curry rice to the A5 wagyu sushi, which was incredible.
For drinks, we enjoyed plum wine, a Shochu Calpico cocktail, and Sapporo beer. To finish the meal, we ordered the green tea tiramisu, green tea pudding with honey, and the milk tea pudding all of which were delicious. The complimentary tea they provided to aid digestion was a very thoughtful touch.
The staff were all wonderful, and we even had a few conversations about Japan while dining. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“Really liked this place. It offers quick prep moderately priced sushi that tastes good for moderately priced sushi. The only weakness was the shrimp nigari which was skimpy on the shrimp. My meal included miso soup, salad and roll, wrap & funnel sushi. I had 2 bites of the roll and drank some soup before I took the picture. I was hungry!“

“I absolutely love this place. Marugame Udon is delicious, fresh and affordable. The only thing I'd change is that it isnt comfy but guess what. Me who rarely goes tp a place with not the best seating and ambience goes with excitement. The staff is wonderful and if you go after 3 there is almost no kne there and it is my favorite time to go between the usual mealtime. No wait and ample seating. Parking and even so.e outdoor seating and a cute area for kids to play. As for the food, I always get the beef and at least one tempura sweet potato. If im splurging I load up on the shrimp tempura some gyoza and other assorted goodies. Oh and add the hard boiled egg to your Udon. I dump the leftover tempura dipping save into my bowl. I always get the large and I always have enough for the next day lunch.
If you are visiting friends or family at Little company hospital it is an easy walk across the street and you do t have to lose your parking spot.

She even went out of her way to offer me and my friends katsu, an udon katsu bowl, as well as a sample of a new katsu rice hand-roll they're working on (picture attached) all on the house, which was awesome! “Authentic, high quality yakitori restaurant with a large Japanese clientele. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:45pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was full except for the 1 table we had reserved. We tried most of the chicken yakitori selections, and a few of the beef, pork and fish ones as well as the vegetables. They were all good and comparable to the high end yakitori restaurants in New York City. The service was friendly and efficient, considering there were only 2 people covering the entire restaurant. Overall a good yakitori restaurant.“

“Gaburi Chicken is a spot that recently opened up! The popcorn chicken is amazing; excellent flavor! This is a popular place, so be aware that you may have to head to the restaurant early! Parking is somewhat difficult to find, so be aware of this also! Overall, this place deserves 5-stars!“

“Stopped by Mugimaru + Toritetsu inside Mitsuwa Marketplace for some Japanese food court classics. We got the Spicy Tonkotsu Udon, Beef Udon, Chicken Katsu Curry, a bunch of tempura, and some yakitori. The Spicy Tonkotsu Udon was definitely the highlight for me — solid flavor and a good kick. Tempura was really well done, crispy but not greasy, and the yakitori didn’t disappoint, especially the chicken meatball and chicken skin skewers. The Chicken Katsu Curry was filling and hit the spot, nothing over the top but solid. Overall, it’s quick, affordable, and just an easy spot if you’re in the area and want a variety of Japanese comfort foods without any fuss.“

“Best Japanese Hamburger Steak in Los Angeles

I am at a loss to include enough superlatives to describe the sheer pleasure derived from eating the hamburger steak combo at Komatsu. It is topped with an amazing demi glaze which is topped with grilled onions. The flavor is sublime and a genorous portion of meat is presented. Along side the steak comes white rice, crunchy cabbage, some pickled small vegetables and a cup of miso soup. The service is quick and courteous. The restaurant interior is humble, and japanese decor domimates. I believe the cook may be the owner. They have very good tempura as well.“

“I visited for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. While having a happy hour beer, I ordered the steak and pasta. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the sauce had a familiar, comforting flavor that reminded me of Japanese cuisine. I truly appreciated being able to enjoy this kind of taste in the U.S.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it a very pleasant place to spend time. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Food is not bad. Grill is very small - good for 2 people but not for 3 or more.
Ventilation is pretty bad, your hair and clothes won’t survive the bbq odor with smoke directly hovering into your face most of the time. Some people might actually enjoy this dinning experience, but definitely not for all.
Price is on the higher side, quality is fine, overall value is average.“

The beef is soft and marinated so everybite is full of extra flavor. The noodles and beef combination are such a good pair, I highly recommend you try this one. The miso was a side order, I enjoy a little soup with my meals, as well as the XL shrimp tempura. The sauce and soft egg are great for dipping or just enjoying as a side. “I recently visited this barbecue spot where you cook the meat yourself at the table, very similar to a Korean barbecue experience, and overall it was a really enjoyable visit. The quality of the meat is excellent—fresh, flavorful, and presented beautifully. I ordered a variety of cuts including one portion of Wagyu, which was good, though not the standout I expected. Still, everything else was genuinely impressive, and you can definitely taste the quality in every bite.

The place is on the pricier side. For me as a single person, my total came out to around $100, which is definitely not cheap. But considering the experience, the freshness of the ingredients, and the type of meats offered, it’s understandable. This is not an everyday spot, but more of a “treat yourself” type of place or somewhere you go when you want a quality dining experience.

The atmosphere is nice and modern, and the service is attentive and helpful. When the restaurant gets busy, it can get a bit loud, but that’s pretty normal for this style of barbecue where everyone is cooking, talking, and enjoying the vibe. “It feels like it’s gotten more expensive over time, but I’ve been coming here for 20 years. It’s one of my all-time favorite restaurants, and I’d be genuinely sad if it ever closed. The staff are always very friendly. While it may not feel particularly modern or spotless, it offers a comforting, homey atmosphere. The food is also consistently delicious.“

“Great Japanese restaurant in the Miyoko Hybrid Hotel (never stayed at the hotel) in the Torrance area.

This restaurant is a great place for family gatherings, and has excellent Japanese food, service and classy ambiance. Plenty of free parking in the lot, as well as food selection. We only go to the restaurant to dine, but I have noticed on multiple occasions that this is a popular place for international Japanese flight crew to stay at while staying overnight in Los Angeles/LAX.“

“Been going to Yogi for a long time. It's a great place for a simple healthy meal. Honestly, lots of times when I don't know what to eat or just don't have time to prepare I'll head over to Yogi's for a meal.

Small parking lot, but I've never seen this lot full so it's nice and easy. Service is quick and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating to requests. The place is small and but enough sitting and very clean.

Call me basic or predictable, but I'll always get their chicken veggie plate with sauce on the side. Eat the chicken and rice with your preferred amount of teriyaki sauce and chili and it's a satisfying meal. The veggies are well prepared, not overly cooked at all. It's a very balanced meal and usually with the plate, I'll have some for another meal.

“I had the ehime, seafood pasta which had decent amount of protein shellfish as described . It was very tasty as I was craving red sauce. I've had the wagyu and other dishes. Very consistent and filling. The only thing I'd asked for is a spoon to remove the little clams from their shells plus to twirl the perfectly cooked capellini like pasta. You're given a fork and napkins since I dined there.

Ashley was kind enough to bring my dinner tray to me and offered me water which is in a dispenser facing the entrance.

Pasta Stories will not disappoint with its variety. Next time, I'll try the salmon or maybe the chicken.“

I stumbled upon this little restaurant tucked in an actual alley in the trader Joe's shopping center. Had no idea the magical place I was stepping into. It was a tradition Japanese dining experience with the curtains on each booth for privacy. It was also nice because you're able to order everything from a tablet on the table along with calling the waiter if you need them. Because they will only come to drop your order. Remember that!
The food was yummy, I ordered the Tan Tan Udon after there was a hiccup with the first dish I ordered. The manager handled it reluctantly but no the less made it right. Which I appreciated.
Everything else there was entertaining along with some games you can order while you wait for your food at the table for free. Overall I'll be back!“
