“My date and I had dinner at Wagyu Butcher, and it was a wonderful experience for us both. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival, and the staff welcomed us with exceptional hospitality. Once we were seated, the atmosphere truly made me feel as if I were in Japan.
Both my date and I chose the Butcher’s Omakase course, the appetizers and every cut of meat was absolutely delicious. What really stood out to us was watching the staff cut the meats right in front of us, which made us truly appreciate the freshness and quality. We both upgraded the curry rice to the A5 wagyu sushi, which was incredible.
For drinks, we enjoyed plum wine, a Shochu Calpico cocktail, and Sapporo beer. To finish the meal, we ordered the green tea tiramisu, green tea pudding with honey, and the milk tea pudding all of which were delicious. The complimentary tea they provided to aid digestion was a very thoughtful touch.
The staff were all wonderful, and we even had a few conversations about Japan while dining. We will definitely be coming back soon.“

“Really liked this place. It offers quick prep moderately priced sushi that tastes good for moderately priced sushi. The only weakness was the shrimp nigari which was skimpy on the shrimp. My meal included miso soup, salad and roll, wrap & funnel sushi. I had 2 bites of the roll and drank some soup before I took the picture. I was hungry!“

“I absolutely love this place. Marugame Udon is delicious, fresh and affordable. The only thing I'd change is that it isnt comfy but guess what. Me who rarely goes tp a place with not the best seating and ambience goes with excitement. The staff is wonderful and if you go after 3 there is almost no kne there and it is my favorite time to go between the usual mealtime. No wait and ample seating. Parking and even so.e outdoor seating and a cute area for kids to play. As for the food, I always get the beef and at least one tempura sweet potato. If im splurging I load up on the shrimp tempura some gyoza and other assorted goodies. Oh and add the hard boiled egg to your Udon. I dump the leftover tempura dipping save into my bowl. I always get the large and I always have enough for the next day lunch.
If you are visiting friends or family at Little company hospital it is an easy walk across the street and you do t have to lose your parking spot.

“Right beside Nijiya supermarket and my dog grooming place. Lots of good reviews led me here. Ordered large portion steak with potato salad. Cut don steak over rice-- menu is simple and beef is good! I didnt order wagyu slice but the flavor reminds you of trad japanese resto. Place is not fine dining but comfortable and relaxed. Potato salad is a must try- so so good and creamy. Will come back to try the sliced beef don w egg- their signature dish. The servings are good for 1-2 persons and priced a little bit more. But with the flavor experience, i think its worth it. Good date place for foodies.“

“Gaburi Chicken is a spot that recently opened up! The popcorn chicken is amazing; excellent flavor! This is a popular place, so be aware that you may have to head to the restaurant early! Parking is somewhat difficult to find, so be aware of this also! Overall, this place deserves 5-stars!“

“It’s a famous Japanese udon shop chain located inside the Mitsuwa Marketplace. They sell udon soup dishes and various rice dishes. You can add various tempura toppings for your dishes at about $2 each. It’s quite authentic Japanese udon and rice dish shop with fast service. They also allow you to add mini rice dishes at lower price as a combo item. One negative about this food court is that they don’t offer free water so you will have to order a drink or grab something at the supermarket. There is a fountain near the bathroom though. Outside seating is available right next to the shop.“

“Absolute gem. It can be a little hard to spot in the plaza (it's in the same plaza as candy massage and the smoke shop). The food is lovely and the staff are quite nice. I ordered the black pork steak with stamina sauce and it was wonderfully made. I would highly recommend going. The prices are very reasonable for what's included.“

“I visited for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. While having a happy hour beer, I ordered the steak and pasta. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the sauce had a familiar, comforting flavor that reminded me of Japanese cuisine. I truly appreciated being able to enjoy this kind of taste in the U.S.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it a very pleasant place to spend time. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

The food never disappoints and there isn't a single place I've been across the states that compares to the meat we get here. “Yamaya Japanese Wagyu & Grill is a Japanese yakiniku specialist in the Torrance area. Ventilation is not bad, but expect to get smelly. The dimly lit dining room is clean and tidy. Servers are friendly, professional and accommodating. Corkage is US$ 25/btl. Food is fresh and of great quality. While side dishes such as Moyashi Namui (US$4.8) and Green Salad ($5.8) are refreshing, the different cuts of wagyu are simply delicious! Highly recommend the crunchy Chef’s Cut Tongue (US$42.8), the juicy Premium Short Ribs (US$ 34.8) and Outside Skirt (US$ 29.8).“

“Small restaurant selling sushi, rolls, rice bowls, udon, ramen etc at more affordable prices and yet maintaining good quality. Water cups are available if you want to avoid soda drinks. Order at the front counter and food will be served to you at your table but you need to clear your table after you're done. Miso soup is not good though so you can skip that. The serving of the rice bowl and udon is quite small.“

It’s an authentic Japanese restaurant that offers amazing quality food. I had their seasonal lunch, which was beautifully presented and delicious. Located on the first floor of the Miyako Inn Hybrid Hotel, it has a relaxed and elegant atmosphere with attentive service. There’s plenty of free parking, and it’s definitely a must-visit spot whenever I’m in Torrance.“

“I had the ehime, seafood pasta which had decent amount of protein shellfish as described . It was very tasty as I was craving red sauce. I've had the wagyu and other dishes. Very consistent and filling. The only thing I'd asked for is a spoon to remove the little clams from their shells plus to twirl the perfectly cooked capellini like pasta. You're given a fork and napkins since I dined there.

Ashley was kind enough to bring my dinner tray to me and offered me water which is in a dispenser facing the entrance.

Pasta Stories will not disappoint with its variety. Next time, I'll try the salmon or maybe the chicken.“

I stumbled upon this little restaurant tucked in an actual alley in the trader Joe's shopping center. Had no idea the magical place I was stepping into. It was a tradition Japanese dining experience with the curtains on each booth for privacy. It was also nice because you're able to order everything from a tablet on the table along with calling the waiter if you need them. Because they will only come to drop your order. Remember that!
The food was yummy, I ordered the Tan Tan Udon after there was a hiccup with the first dish I ordered. The manager handled it reluctantly but no the less made it right. Which I appreciated.
Everything else there was entertaining along with some games you can order while you wait for your food at the table for free. Overall I'll be back!“
