“Bluestone lane….more like 5 star lane!! This place was absolutely amazing to me and my fiancée. We will definitely be back. Shoutout Randal for making my day. I walked in there not knowing what to get and he knew exactly what I needed and his smile and attitude made everything better. Shoutout to all the other staff as well. I didn’t get a chance to try out the food, but that gives me a reason to go back.“

“This location for goodboybob has been a favorite of my wife and I since we moved to the south bay. Its convenient location adjacent to the public library and a block up from the beach makes it a frequent pit stop or starting point for us. The coffees are always delicious and the pastries are solid. Though the pastries can run a little pricey it is consistent with the surrounding market. I specifically am writing this review to highlight though the excellent service. Today one of the baristas (I believe his name was Saul??) generously and pleasantly explained the different beans when he noticed I was checking some of the bags and he spent the time to explain to be the different beans, the variations in roasting process that differentiate some of them, his favorites, and went as far to provide me a fresh hot sample of some that we were discussing. At the end of it I left with just the latte I came in for(which was exceptional as always), but I also left with greater appreciation for the coffee I was enjoying and a good idea of what I can look for and enjoy in my coffee.“

“The coffee was incredible here and the staff were really friendly. I did wish that they had gluten free options but I understand that that isn’t always an option for cafes. Lovely outdoor area and it connects through an outdoor garden seating area to “pages” a bookstore.“

“I ordered the $8 meal deal and it was great! For $8 you get hash browns, a breakfast sandwich and hot or iced coffee. When your order on the app you can adjust your order to how you like it. With the breakfast sandwich you have a choice of having it served on a bagel, croissant, or English muffin. I ordered the 24 ounce iced coffee. You get a choice of any flavors you want to add, decaf, cream, etc. It's a real bargain for only $8. For the price of just one coffee at other coffee shops, you get a complete meal and drink. This deal can't be beat. This location has plenty of seating inside and out. Overall, I give it 5 stars.“

“Okay… as a very picky coffee person, I will be honest I was very nervous of this initially based off looks. It was my first time in and all I knew was that I wanted the dry americano w/ half and half drink I’ve seen all over tiktok. The batista/cashier was super sweet and easily finished my sentance by stating “the TikTok drink” once I asked for the dry americano. I asked for hazelnut flavor. Somehow it rang up with caramel drizzle? So I am a bit confused if the viral drink he gave me was actually what I was asking for… so I asked for no drizzle. The part I started to get worried at was when I saw a large scoop of powder being put into my drink…. Come to realize it was the hazelnut flavoring? So minus a star for that. The second part that had me nervous was the color seemed so light & milky… not anything like the TikTok version however to my surprise, the coffee was very strong! It was a bit milky but overall it was a good balance. Can’t say I would run to pay $7 for this butttt it beats Starbucks.“

“Starbucks at the Sepulveda & 9th is a welcoming place to sip a morning coffee. Really enjoyed kicking back, working and drinking their fresh brewed Blonde roast. Many Thanks to the early morning; bright, friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure my endless cup remained full. Love the return of the café refill and self-service dairy station.“

“These heart cookies with the pink frosting were literally my lifeblood in the early 2000s as a young chimp running around the AMS Elementary School.I came back here for the first time in a minute this weekend, now a full grown orangutan, and can confirm these heart cookies with the pink frosting ($1.50) are still literal crack cocaine. I really don't even mess with frosting on cookies usually, but Becker's is just different.I paired an americano with my cookie, as they now have a Hi-Fi Espresso in here which I think slangs some of the best espresso around. It makes me feel like I'm in Europe idk how else to describe it.I almost bought a shirt, but I have SO many shirts already so I opted against it. However, when I was doing my due diligence for this review a sense of regret shot through my spine like it was an epidural when I saw Beckers has been around since 1942. I had NO idea that Beckers has been around since Joseph Stalin was the Time Magazine Person of the Year. Still so crazy he was Time's Person of the Year.......The business is still in the family after 3 generations (Shoutout to the OG Harry Becker for kicking it off), which really makes me want to go back and buy a shirt. I love places passed from generation to generation. No wonder these heart cookies with the pink frosting still taste exactly the same as they did when I was just a little chimp. Some free game for y'all, if you go to someone's party in Manhattan Beach and they don't have a box of Becker's cookies, they are a big fat phony..... ahaha I'm playin but actually OGs will always have a box of Beckers for a function.I should mention that they also have a deli here that people love, but I've really only ever been here for the cookies. You know why I'm here.As the money and botox continues to move into Manhattan Beach, this is one of the 5 or 6 places left keeping the soul of what I knew as a small local beach town alive.THANK YOU BECKERS NEVER SWITCH UP! I'M COMIN BACK FOR THE SHIRT!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“
