“Getting their ice cream truck at our office backyard and it’s warm sunny day so perfect timing! Plenty of flavors to choose from, which was basically different mix-ins blended with the vanilla soft serve base. They did offer chocolate one.

I went for the Hokey Pokey as I loved honeycomb and simply couldn’t resist that crunchy toppings! The order’s ready in a blink and there were several attendants serving at the same time so despite all of us tried to be there at similar time, we got our ice cream quickly!

“Friendly, family-owned neighborhood delight. Everything from the gelato to the cannoli to the tiramisu is authentic and delicious. They now have food items, so you can go there for lunch or dinner, or as always it's a fantastic place to stop after dinner downtown (or any other time, as my daughter correctly insists) so save a bit of room for dessert.

I didn't see my favorite coffee flavored gelato in the display freezer last time, so I asked about it and found out they keep other flavors in the back freezer, so if you don't see what you want, just ask.“

“I came to this spot by accident, yes you heard me. I was looking for another ice cream shop and ran across this one. I purchased a double scoop to go. I scoop of vanilla and and one scoop of praline pecan ice cream in a cup survive the ride home. Once inside the house, that ice cream didn't stand a chance. It didn't have that frost bitten taste that you experience from store bought ice cream. I will try again and I recommend going there.“

The flavors were delicious and many were options that you really can't find anywhere else. Their homemade waffle crisp was a surprise hit as well (and gluten free!), and with several vegan options, they were a caterer that truly could have a little something for people regardless of diet restrictions. “I came across Playa Provisions when in town for business. It was a short Uber from the airport, so I figured I'd give it a try. This place is an absolute gem! It is a unique setup that has everything you'd possibly need from morning until late at night: Cafe in the front for coffee and fresh baked good, as well as full breakfast menu. Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. You've been eating and drinking all day, and are exhausted? Don't leave yet! Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. “This is such a charming little gelato shop with a wonderful atmosphere. The space is beautifully decorated, and I loved that they even display and sell artwork, which gives the shop a unique and creative feel.

The staff wasn’t overly friendly and seemed a bit laid-back, but they were happy to offer samples and helped us choose our flavors.

The gelato itself was excellent. I ordered the pistachio and chocolate flavors, and both were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. They were so delicious that I’d gladly come back for them again.

One of the best things about this location is the setting. The views around this shopping center are beautiful, and it’s one of my favorite areas to visit. Grabbing a gelato and enjoying the scenery makes for a perfect outing.

My only suggestion would be to offer a few more gelato flavors, as I would have loved even more options to choose from.
