Tucked away in the mall almost like a gem in the rough. Those that love gelato craftsmenship made with care and charm, this is it. Open your mind (or tongue) and try the different options! Great for couples, family, and friend. If you have a foodie friend who doesn't judge on exterior but rather the taste, this is a worthy spot.

Great selection of gelato flavors with a waffle that you actually want to eat! The sticky rice could use some work as it hardens a bit with the gelato on top.

MOOM MAAM - Artisanal Thai Gelato serves fantastic homemade gelato. The gelato is creamy with amazing and heavy flavors, including unique and peculiar options. Stand-out flavors include green tea, chocolate, Thai tea, mango, and coconut. There are also vegan options. For a first visit, it is highly recommended to try the "LA Times Special" with mango and coconut gelato done "The Special" way, which includes a coconut waffle bowl, coconut sticky rice, and shredded coconut. Individually the components taste fine, but fused together they become magical. Another notable item is the "Over Caffeinated Cold Brew Float," where you pick a gelato flavor to mix with cold brew coffee; it is an indulgent treat. Portions are a big heaping scoop, though some note they are slightly on the smaller side considering the price, but the quality makes it well worth it.
The service is often described as great and incredibly helpful, with encouragement to sample all the flavors. The location is in the mall on the lower level, specifically next to Macy's Men's & Home, on the side where the post office and Book Off are; it is not in the super main central area. The menu can be kind of confusing, so it is recommended to pay attention to the special options. While the experience can depend on who assembles the order, the gelato is consistently yummy and some of the best ice cream.
