Fast service,the best quesadilla I ever had in my life. Amazing chips and SALSA was mind blowing!! Very generous portions. I was not expecting such delicious food but I am not from the area.
This is a hole in the wall restaurant. Most people order to go due to limited seating. This has been my favorite place for over 20 yrs. I now live 2 hrs away but when I'm in that area, I will no leave without eating here. Friendly staff, treats everyone like family. Food is delicious 🤤 , and generous portions. My kids love their Burrito Deluxe.

El Tarasco on Rosecrans is an old-school, no-frills Mexican counter a few blocks from the beach. The food is solid, delicious, and satisfying, with massive, affordable portions packed with flavor. Menu highlights include the best hard shell fried chicken taco, the super deluxe burrito with red sauce, the junior burrito deluxe, carne asada tacos, and the wet carnitas burrito or carnitas plate. Be sure to try their habanero salsa, guacamole, and extra pico.
The vibe is genuine and perfect, with counter-style service and bar stools. The staff works fast with quick, no-fuss, and friendly service. It is a perfect stop for lunch, dinner, or post-beach and late-night cravings, open late after surfing or biking. While parking and seating are not so good, it remains a worth-it, inexpensive spot that never disappoints.
