Mercado in Manhattan Beach is a great spot for Mexican food in a relaxed and lively atmosphere. The food is tasty and well made, with good-quality ingredients, and good margaritas. The filet mignon tacos were absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked, tender steak layered with fresh toppings on warm tortillas. The best fish tacos in years, with delicious sauces and pico. The tamarind salad dressing on the appetizer salad was unexpectedly delicious, and the churro icing for dessert was the perfect way to finish the meal. The prickly pear spicy margarita was super flavorful and strong. The carnitas nachos, dos gringas tacos, and enchiladas de pollo en mole were amazing. The service was excellent, with attentive staff. The bathrooms were maintained clean. A solid choice for a casual dinner, drinks, or happy hour with plenty of seating. Great food, great service, great value.
