Hawaiian themed chain restaurant in the Mall. Went with my Aunt who loves the food. Had china coast salad which was good. Very accommodating, my cousin wanted a burger with no bun which was no problem. Server was attentive. Overall good experience for chain restaurant.
Nothing fancy, but the food is consistent, and this is why we chose to have lunch here. This is a review for their LUNCH menu: We both ordered the Pacific Rim Bowl which is essentially a cabbage salad with a citrus, lime cilantro dressing which makes this so tasty! Islands Restaurant Manhattan Beach is a family-friendly venue with a fun island vibe, making it a great spot to have a quick bite next to the mall. The menu offers a variety of options to suit every taste, including hamburgers, tacos, salads, and more, all of which are consistently delicious. The food is good, and the price is right. While service can be fast and good, recent visits have been affected by staffing issues and absent managers. However, the staff is friendly and very accommodating, and many customers have enjoyed excellent service experiences. The restaurant has ample indoor and outdoor seating, and the restroom facilities are clean, with staff always keeping the tables tidy. Despite some challenges, Islands remains a popular spot with plenty of parking in the garage and a kid-friendly atmosphere, making it a recommended spot for families in the Southbay.
