Definitely one of our favorite restaurants to go as a family not only is the food great but service is also pretty fast so we are quite impressed with that. The island vibe is something we connect with. We also like that there are multiple locations in the Southbay. I ordered 2 Maui burgers today WELL DONE and spent $42.00. I got home and they both were red and undone inside. I called and complained to one of the workers, Miguel who said Hyman or Andrew the managers will call me right back to credit me and refund me and resolve this issue. Never got a callback.

Food is consistent. Service the past few months has gone down all due to lack of staffing and managers who are not present. Most recently trying to get a gift card promo took nearly 35min after we had finished eating.. not once did a manager come by our table to check in or apologize only our overworked server she was great and doing what she could within her control. Shame on the managers for their lack of presence and failure to support their team. (Front end hosts were never present even with them having two working and were on their phones texting)

I used to love this place growing up but wow… that was awful. Overpriced for food that tastes worse than most fast food. I will say, the tortilla soup is still okay but nothing to brag about. Super bummed though, I was looking forward to enjoying this after many years. This is a sell out chain, do not take your friends or family here.

Island's always has a nice atmosphere, great food and good service.This location is in Redondo Beach, California, and it is my favorite. Island's is a small chain so it differs little from place to place. But the service can be lacking in one and great in another.The food is really great. They have upgraded their meats and their burgers are wonderful and you have a large selection from which to choose. They also have great sides and their nachos are the bomb.Parking is easy and the service was very friendly and they checked on us several times.
Wouldn’t let us sit on the patio because a large group was coming in later, then wouldn’t honour the happy hour prices on the other side of the restaurant because happy hour is only on the patio/bar. Server couldn't accommodate the request to remove an ingredient from a menu item because the food is “pre mixed”. When happens when someone has an allergy? Walked by an hour later and the large group was only taking up 1/2 the patio.
