“Uzzi’s has delicious cookies including my favorite the strawberries n’cream and also an assortment of marshmallows to choose from. “I’ve been coming here for almost five years. Their ham and cheese croissant used to be one of the best in LA with perfectly laminated dough, thick ham, and plenty of cheese. The shell was a bit dense and heavier than other bakeries, but that’s actually why I enjoyed it. It had a unique texture and feel.

Sadly, the quality has declined a lot in recent years. The croissant is now much smaller, dry, and skimpy on fillings. Today it honestly tasted like an airport croissant.

Coffee, Swedish buns, and other food are still great, and the staff are always kind. But the shop often seems understaffed and the dining area is not as clean as before. I still want to support them, but the overall experience no longer feels as special as it once did.“

“Angel Maid Bakery has gone down hill a little bit. Their hours are not what they say and their lot for parking is very small.

That said, their service is still great and they are very nice.

They are limited in what they will do. If you bring in a photo of a cake you want, chances are they won't be able to do it. They do not do images at all. They have a book and you can pick a cake.

Their selection in store is very good, but I am so sick of most of them having a whipped cream frosting that you have to keep cold. I don't like cold cake. Their selection of butter cream is lacking.

They do have a nice selection of cupcakes with butter cream frosting which is great.

When you have them write on a cake you pre ordered you can tell they took very little time to do it, it is sloppy and there is nothing but what you told them to write. Most bakeries add a little flower or something to present the name.

I just had a lemon curd type cake from them and I noticed the sloppy writing and the cake was so sweet I could not eat it, and of course, it was cold.

I won't be back. That is sad. I will find another bakery that cares. But I still give them a 4 because I know a lot of people like sweet cakes with whipped cream frosting and their service is very good.“
