The margarita pizza was classic, but tasted a cut above, I think it's their sauce. The Caesar salad is big, and boy I ate all of mine. It had a perfect balance. This was not the intended destination, but my friend and I were extremely glad that we went, since we're Francophiles!! They feature classically French dishes, but also Italian, making it a bit of fusion cuisine. Okay, a mojito is not French, but it was one of the best I have had in a very long time! I stuck to French cuisine. Started with soup a l'onion. Delicious! A lot of gruyere and the right amount of onions, bread and soup. Next were the escargots in olive oil with a lot of garlic! Yum! Main course was the mussels! Those had to be the largest, most succulent mussels I have ever had! They came with fries, but you really didn't need them. I brought them home. Last was the Napoleon or mille feuille. Creamy! There were three layers: one with just the cream, second with strawberries, and the last with nuts. Wow! Never had one like that!The proprietor was very kind. He brought us our drinks and was very kind when we spoke to him in French. Wait staff was very courteous and we felt no pressure to eat and leave. To show how good this place was, we ended up sitting next to a well known French actor. My friend recognized him first. They say that if people of the same nationality as the restaurant dine there, it's usually a compliment to the restaurant and a testament of the food. “Chocolate Oreo Ice Cream! Let me tell you it definitely hit the spot, one of the best ice creams I've tried I can see why it's one of their top flavors. I got the single scoop and it's a good amount of serving but I should have gotten a double scoop for sure! If you love chocolate ice cream and Oreos, then this is the perfect flavor for you. Although, there is a hint of coconut in the aftertaste in case you're not too huge on coconut. But the actual flavor overpowers it. We went late at night but the service was still good! You have to be careful not to miss the window it's right next to a small coffee shop. There's a few chairs around to sit after or you can walk around and see the other shops around. Very small space but great ice cream! I will definitely need to go back and try other flavors!“

I tried the Midnight Breakfast and Eospresso and they were both ... fine. I wish there was something a little more memorable about them. The environment felt electric and trendy, but even right at open, grew loud with voices and pumped-in music. “Easily one of the best açaí bowl spots in west la. the main reason is the price and the diverse selection of toppings, base flavors, granola, etc. I like how you can customize your bowl as much as you want and you pay the same price - I usually get the smallest bowl for $9. They also have unique toppings like different chia puddings and matcha powder which sets them apart from other acai bowl places. The service is incredible every time - very fast and friendly. I'm grateful it's in my neighborhood so I can go as often as I do! Very cute and comfortable ambiance. I usually take it to go and it travels well but if I had time I would eat it there! The chili and garlic sauces that accompany the food are fresh made too and really add zing to the meal as I alternate what to dip the various meats into. We popped in for lunch on a Friday, so we took advantage of the lunch special prices. $10 for a starter salad (delicious light and tangy dressing!) and an entree. He chose his favorite standby - green curry chicken - and I selected the spicy tofu mix. We also shared an order of the spring rolls, which were light and tasted super fresh. I’m thankful that the friendly server pointed me in the direction of the spicy tofu mix because it featured three different preparations of tofu in a zesty basil-influenced sauce. I’m excited I get to enjoy the leftovers for dinner tonight! If I’m ever back in WeHo, I know where I’ll head for lunch: back to Galanga!“

The one warning I'll give for the tacos is that they aren't the biggest portions, and they're served on individual plates. If you have a small table, you may run out of space if you order enough tacos to be satisfied.In addition to the large selection of tacos, they have an equally diverse drink menu. They offer margaritas by the pitcher, flight, and glass. If you order the flights, they come with a sparkler (as I said, the place is cute) for your social media memories. If you're not in a margarita mood, they also offer other cocktails and a sad selection of beer. I got a Madre Passion, which was spectacular, and my partner ordered a Deeply Rooted Issues, which was very citrusy.Tu Madre would be well on its way to five stars if it weren't for one thing. Service can be slow, which is the reason for dropping a star on the overall rating. I noticed the speed of service depended on where you sat. Unfortunately for us, we weren't at an advantageous table. I think we talked to our real server once. He didn't take our order, bring the food, or help us with the check. We heard there was a new chef and the menu had changed so we decided to give it a try and we're so happy we did! We started off with the hummus board, which was amazing and chef Alex told us he makes the hummus from scratch. For the main dish, I ordered the burger which was perfectly sized especially for a multi course meal. Lastly, Alex recommended the gelato for dessert. There are three different flavors, and each has their own distinct taste and texture, and are delicious! Highly recommend the "We Are All Mad Here" cocktail to sip on while enjoying Chef Alex's food. “This is a more upscale gourmet coffee shop that is coffee centric. They provide a variety of crafted coffee drinks ranging from 8-12 dollars, as well as select origin roasts for traditional pours. I ordered the Warhol hot which was delicious but I feel for the size which is tiny and the price at $10 is overpriced. It’s a small space with some limited indoor seating and 2 seats outside and tough to find parking but some 20 minute meters out front. If you are really into the origin of the bean and care a lot about the process then I would recommend this place to you. However even I drink a ton of coffee and prefer things a bit more casual and moderately priced. To sum it up if you love boutique specialty coffee it’s a great cute spot with good drinks. Just not my style of place :)“

Not sure about the pricing as I was treated to my libations, but the service was friendly. I appreciated the attentiveness. They have high tops on one side and soft seating on the other with bar seating in between the two.“
